Tiger Trafficking in America       Government authorities will often say they can find little or no evidence of the black market trade in tigers in America which just tells me they aren't looking.  A fan of ours sent the following to me and Howie sent it to the USFWS agent Matt Bryant and the next day, after nothing had been done, I sent to the FWC.    Go to: www.estatesalesinorlando.com, go to "Our Next Estate Sale", second listing down, address:  1205 Forest Circle, Altamonte Springs, FL 32714, pictures #93 - 95. Phone  407-256-ssss.   I've attached copies of the tiger skin (which is being marketed as lion paws, but there are distinct stripes further up the legs) and copies of the county records showing the owner of the home, where the items are being sold to be David Sweeney.   https://estatesales.org/photos/27453141?from=https://estatesales.org/estate-sales/fl/altamonte-springs/32714/estate-sale-in-altamonte-springsestate-1600949/gallery   Hi, I'm Carole Baskin and I've been writing my story since I was able to write, but when the media goes to share it, they only choose the parts that fit their idea of what will generate views.  These are my views and opinions. Malise Turner Says Chris Hansen is Out to Kill Me Matt, last night we got a call from a woman we do not know named Malise (sp?) Turner. She said she was calling out of concern for Carole's safety despite Joe being in jail. Much of the conversation was rambling about Chris Hansen. She claims Hansen told Joe that if he would provide her with the drugs (presumably tranquilization but she mentioned stabilizer), she would "shoot Carole in the butt, put her in the trunk of my car and bury her on my 14 acres" (or something close to that). Turner said that Joe gave Hansen a bottle of Ketamine, the drug used to immobilize. Not sure, if provable, if that would be a drug violation.. What Hansen wanted in return from Joe was a monkey. According to Turner, while Joe was here in FL, before his arrest, Hansen was displaying a new monkey on Facebook. Turner initially had a positive relationship with Hansen that began over a $5000 laptop Turner offered on Craig's list that Hansen inquired about. Hansen offered to pay for the laptop by giving Turner a monkey. Turner already had one monkey. At first they had a positive relationship, but over time Turner observed the constant GoFundMe efforts, checked with the IRS and says Hansen is not a non profit, feels monkeys in Hansen's care were mistreated, says Hansen and her "group" try to get monkeys taken from owners so they can get them and sell them, calls Hansen crazy and a very good con artist. Turner says Hansen is still passionately supportive of Joe, feels Carole is responsible for his being in jail, attended Joe's wedding with a monkey named Emily and told people she and Emily intended to go on the road with Joe as his singing career blossomed and Emily would be a star. Turner mentioned having talked to Jackie Thompson, former wife of Marc the sniper, and something about Jackie talking to authorities (Marshalls). So it is not clear to me if Turner really has any first hand knowledge, or is repeating something from Thompson, in which case it may be information you already have. I am confident if you already knew and perceived a threat you would have alerted us. Meantime, Turner says Hansen moved to Bartow, FL which is only an hour from us. Turner said she would be willing to speak with you if you wanted. In the past we would not have taken a conversation like this as seriously as we do now. So if you have any knowledge that would give comfort, or alternatively are able to do a better job than Carole could in sifting through what Turner says to see how credible it is, we would appreciate it. Later, in a text, Malise reminded me that Jackie Thompson had called me back then, right after Joe shot the blow up doll of me, and played a recording of their plot to kill me. She said, her ex husband, Marc the sniper, told Joe they'd have to wait a while after he blew up the doll because it would be too obvious that it was them if anything happened right then. I asked her to send me the recording. She did but it was so difficult to make out that I didn't save it myself, although I probably turned it over to Matt Bryant at the time.   Hi, I'm Carole Baskin and I've been writing my story since I was able to write, but when the media goes to share it, they only choose the parts that fit their idea of what will generate views.  These are my views and opinions. FBI Back in Control of Hitman   This is my recollection of the call today.  Matt Bryant, the USFWS Special Agent, called Howie to tell him that they are back “in control”.  He went on to explain that sometime back he'd been able to turn one of Joe's workers into a Confidential Informant and that the informant alerted him to the fact that Joe asked to pay him $10,000 to kill me.  The FBI / USFWS  told the CI to tell Joe that he knew a professional hitman, so Joe said he'd pay that person 10,000 to kill me.  Meanwhile, one of Joe's drunken, doped up derelicts said he'd do it, so Joe said he would pay him.  That's what caused the panic in the agency to alert me that I was in danger, because now they did not control the situation and they couldn't be sure that the derelict wouldn't hitch a ride to Tampa without being detected.   Matt said that his CI had managed to “get back in” which would seem to indicate that Joe had tossed him out briefly.  The CI said he was able to convince Joe that hiring the derelict was just going to get him caught and that he really needed to hire the professional (undercover agent).  Joe was persuaded to wait and meet the FBI “hitman” next week.  Matt said they have to have a couple of things fall into place for an arrest and indictments:   Joe has to actually give some money to the hitman in advance.   Joe has to pay for a ticket across state lines, or provide travel, for it to warrant a federal crime.   The good news is that I don't have to worry about a real hitman looking for me, unless Joe decides to shop for a better deal.   Meanwhile, this afternoon, before hearing from Matt,  the Gift Shop crew called me over the radio saying a volunteer from the past, named Doug, wanted to see me.  Doug's name came up in Don's disappearance documentation because he, Sandy Wittkopp and Susan Aronoff were usually the people who were around whenever we needed a Notary and two witnesses.  If Joe wanted to lure me out into the path of a bullet or a knife, he might well use such a ploy as to send someone in saying that they were this long, lost volunteer who had been so beloved.  Thankfully, we had two surveillance cameras in the Gift Shop and Doug is a VERY tall man.   Seeing such a person, standing against the wall, not shopping, gave me some assurance that going in to see him might not be the last thing I do.  Doug had taken the 3PM tour and then asked afterwards if they could call me to the store.  It was great to see the wonder in Doug's face at the way the place has progressed since he left 20 years ago.  I told Doug that I think of him often in the context of tours because he was the first person to say, “You could charge people to come here.”  When I protested that people would just get themselves hurt, he offered to walk around with them and that was the beginning of our guided tours back in 1995 when we had our first 43 visitors.   Hi, I'm Carole Baskin and I've been writing my story since I was able to write, but when the media goes to share it, they only choose the parts that fit their idea of what will generate views.  These are my views and opinions. Simple Kicking

Joe Sturniolo is an Assistant Coach for the Westminster Wildcats in Atlanta, Georgia who spends his time and energy entirely on kickers, punters, and long snappers. This is a rarity because the vast majority, an estimated 0.31% of high school teams have a devoted coach for teaching specialists. This episode of the Simple Kicking Show explores the story behind how it happened, and the tools in the toolbox that have been most helpful for Coach Sturno and the kickers. This kind of story is the type that gets Pat Mcafee excited. In fact, it did in the early 2000s when he and Sturno crossed paths. (That story, too is discussed on this episode.) An additional example of Westminster’s rarity is how the program is a talent hotbed for kickers. Coach Sturno has produced a dozen Division 1 and/or NFL kickers over the past 20 years, which has effectively coined the name for Westminster as “Kicker U.” Led by head coach Gerry Romberg, the program emphasizes special teams and dedicates sufficient resources to plays that take place on 4th down. The kickers and punters work hard, based on the natural athletic abilities that come with them, but Coach Sturno’s passion has contributed to the longevity of “Kicker U.” Here are the most notable names that have come through the program: Harrison Butker, Kansas City Chiefs Kicker (Georgia Tech), Blake Gillikin, New Orleans Saints Punter (Penn State), Alex Gracey, Stanford Punter, Charlie Ham, Duke Kicker, Connor Weselman, Stanford Punter Commit, and one of the nation’s top punting recruits in Alex Bacchetta. Other collegiate kickers and or punters who played under him: Avery Bass, Illinois, Felipe Villahoz, North Carolina, Patrick Knight, All-American Punter at Rhodes College, and many others to come. Kickers and punters are athletes. The inaugural episode of the Simple Kicking Show featured Tyler Brown, who is the Special Teams graduate assistant at the University of Michigan. Tyler, who is the son of Baltimore Ravens Special Teams Coach Randy Brown, shared that some of the best athletes have chosen to become kickers. You can find that episode here: https://youtu.be/yU51BxMCM88 Sturno agrees with Brown that kickers are athletes. An example he gives is on Harrison Butker who he believes could have been a wide receiver in high school, or how Rankin Woley who played baseball at LSU and Auburn, could have been an incredible punter. This episode is for high school coaches who understand athletes, but who may not grasp kicking because here is the good news, neither did Sturniolo when he started 20 years ago. Sturniolo was the head statistician for the Atlanta Falcons and Georgia Tech Football shortly before he became an assistant coach at Westminster. This involved work with the Southeastern Conference and the Sugar Bowl when it was forced to be moved due to Hurricane Katrina to the Georgia Dome in the early 2006. Sturno attributes his knowledge to learning from books, DVDs, YouTube videos, clinics and crossing paths with Matt Bryant, long time kicker for the Atlanta Falcons. As kickers are frequently left to the side, Coach Sturno saw an opportunity to develop them. He disagrees that “practice makes perfect”; instead, he sees that developing good habits leads to better on the field performance in games which is his goal as a guide to the players, otherwise a coaching absence creates a vacuum that actually causes bad habits to solidify. If you are a high school kicking recruit, a high school head football coach, then this episode is for you to explore ways to improve your own team based on Coach Sturno’s experience.

We welcome 2021 with an episode that offers hope despite the state of our polarized political landscape. Omar Ali, who typically co-hosts our show, steps over to the other side of the microphone. A historian and scholar of independent politics, Professor Ali has been a long-time community organizer. He shares his insights on the heels of the release of the new edition of his book, In the Balance of Power: Independent Black Politics and Third Party Movements in the United States. “I’m optimistic because I’m seeing cultural changes afoot that are creating new possibilities,” he says. As a special treat, Matt Bryant, our producer, joins the show as co-host, and offers a story about collaboration between unlikely fellow travelers. We hope you listen. Happy New Year everyone!"Just as race was created as a way of dividing and conquering poor people… across American History in order to control labor and power, ideology has been used in the same way to divide people against each other who actually have much in common. To me we’ve been bamboozled, hoodwinked, as Malcolm would say, into thinking that there are these great divides between us, when in fact they’re relatively superficial… The more important thing, that is, being a fellow human being, a fellow citizen, these things are much more important than ideological differences." – Dr. Omar Ali
