Social media is so superficial that it's challenging to post anything meaningful.  Instead, we should be falling in love with the right kind of media. Social media is making people anxious and bummed out.  [16:10] If You Want To Grow A Brand, You Need To Have A Podcast  If you want to create content for the rest of your life, start a podcast.  The problem with podcasting is oversaturation. Eventually, there will be more podcasts than there are listeners.  A podcast is something that you own. Whereas your TikTok channel isn't something that you own. This will be critical as we look toward the future of the decentralization of media. [19:45] How You Can Apply Keto Flexing To Your Life  Many people think that going hard is better. However, it's all about finding balance.  If you want to build muscle, then insulin is not your enemy, and neither is glucose. Whether you like it or not, you'll go back to eating carbs for one reason or another.  Being able to store carbs on the shelf is really important. You should protect the brain state right after you wake up.  When Abel wakes up in the morning, he practices some self-defense against technology. Give yourself as much time before you jump on your phone, social media, or the news.  Write down your dreams when you wake up. After getting health insurance, Abel found a traditional doctor. After taking his advice, he gained thirty pounds and suffered from high blood pressure. Abel started researching physiology and bodybuilding. He began eating loads of fats and vegetables. No longer was Abel afraid of salt. After taking it seriously for 30 days, he had a different body composition. It made him mad because he had been trying so hard to eat “right.” People need to be educated about the fundamentals, which is why Abel started The Fat Burning Man. Abel did almost precisely the opposite of what his medical doctor was telling him to do.   [09:30] The Fundamentals    If you want to be strong, you have to be balanced and focus on mobility. Do not isolate your biceps to get big biceps. For 99.9% of people, it will make no difference to do isolated exercises. Strength training your big muscles group will work. Kettlebells, free weights, and using the correct form will assist with your fitness. It doesn’t need to get much more complicated than that. Eat clean plant and animal foods. Ditch white sugars – it’s incredibly addictive and destroys our health. Find diversity and balance in your diet. Make sure you’re getting enough protein and fiber. Do not get vegetables that are sprayed with chemicals. Practice common sense with technology. Our cell phones can cause cancer and tumors. Yet, people still keep their phones in their pockets.   [16:30] About The Wild Diet Abel wanted something that would be offline and lead people to the truth. Which is why he wrote this book back in 2015. There is not a lot of things that are truly out there. Many authors and podcasters like to make things overly complicated – it works! You can sell a lot of stuff that way. Abel had been listening to the wrong people; it hurt him. The Wild Diet is written simply and should be easy to read.   [20:15] When Should You Eat Carbs?   It depends on what you are doing with your life. Eating carbs in the morning may drive you crazy. You will have cravings and be hungry for the rest of the day. If you are going out and running a marathon, you could easily eat carbs in the morning. Abel drinks tea, coffee, heavy cream, and coconut oil. He will also drink bone broth and powdered greens. Dinner will be his first and only meal of the day. Eat fibers, proteins, and fats before you hit the carbs. Slam down an orange juice and see how you feel in an hour. It takes a few weeks for your body to realize that you don’t even need orange juice in the morning.   [23:50] Exercising in a Fasted State   Abel runs in a fasted state. When you run out of sugar in your muscles, you are going to bonk out. Learn how to manage that, and your body will adapt. Most people are carrying too much extra weight – so exercising while fasted will not be harmful. Fasted cardio will help you get the weight off pretty fast. However, it can be brutal at first. Depending on your goals, it can be helpful to eat before working out. When you are training fasted, you are getting the advantage of not needing to fuel.   [29:55] What Does “Natural Flavor” Mean? Natural flavors might mean the extractives of wood products or anal beaver glands. Natural flavors are usually better than artificial flavors. Flavor your food with actual fruit or honey instead of artificial things. Do not be generous with your trust at the store. What is actually in the food you are buying?   [33:00] Weight Loss Tips Focus on the foods that are your trigger foods. Try and go without this food for a few days and then for a few weeks. Go without that food until you don’t have those cravings anymore. It could be pizza, cookies, and cakes. Sometimes it’s not about the food that you are eating, but about the state of mind you are in while you are eating. If your attention isn’t with your food, then it’s harder to realize when you’re hungry. It doesn’t take long to eat, so sit down and practice gratitude.   [38:35] Abel’s Gas Leak Scare Carbon monoxide leaked in Abel’s rental while they slept. Abel, his wife, and their dog were overcome with apathy. The effects of the gas make you dumber and less likely to make the right decisions. Abel and his wife were close to that state. The gas is odorless, so it’s almost difficult to detect. They almost died, and that is not an exaggeration. Abel was not able to work for months. Carbon monoxide detectors could easily prevent something like this happening.   [44:45] Recovering From Carbon Monoxide Poisoning Abel did long-term fasts for his body to heal. Do not push your body too hard too soon. You want to be active in your recovery. However, be honest with yourself and be conservative. Vitamins in an IV drip brought Abel back to life – it’s an effective way to get nutrients into your blood stream. During the drips, their inflammation would immediately come down. Eating clean and not drinking alcohol was also extremely helpful. OK. Smoothies get a bad rap from paleo circles; always have. Undeservedly, at least for the most part. Carnivore is cool, and I will admit it has a place, as does Keto. Both, in my mind, have a therapeutic use, meaning that in certain conditions and with certain autoimmune problems, they might be the perfect fit.But, for a lifelong diet- no. You want a diet heavy in plants, loaded with micronutrients, and above all- ancestral. The easiest way to to that nowadays, with our depleted soils and nutrient lessened standard vegetables, is with a smoothie. A drink made in a high speed blender (Vitamin is still the very best), where the nutrients within are thoroughly blended (chewed) by the machine to gain the maximum nutrient value from each stalk and leaf. To me, this is so obvious as to not even be arguable!For many years, I have followed the paleo or ancestral diet by this method- it seemed to me initially, upon reading about the paleo diet, that this would be the ideal way to achieve it in the modern world. And it has worked out for me and mine admirably.I make a smoothie on a roughly weekly basis, consisting of kefir, green tea, raw eggs, cinnamon and other spices, turmeric and ginger root. I then add in broccoli and cauliflower (and carrot) in the ubiquitous ‘California Mix’ frozen veggie mix, along with citrus (grapefruit is a fave, since it enhances absorbability), or lemon and orange, along with mixed frozen berries and perhaps a cored apple or a handful of cranberries. In other words, all the 30 or so food groups…I mix this up, and put it into canning jars for my week or so, breakfast or breakfast adjunct daily. Incredibly healthy, non matter what some naysayers might say! A mainstay, really, to health and vibrancy.But live and learn, as they say: I have determined that two additions are in order: Spirulina and Natto. Now, spirulina is an algae, a blue-green sort that is, basically: pond scum. The Aztecs cultivated it, long ago in South America, and it nourished them for hundreds of years. I researched all of the algaes, and spirulina wins, hands down for assimilability (it breaks down quickly for digestion), and for its complete protein content, and high concentrations of Vitamin B12, chelated minerals, natural plant rhamnose sugars, enzymes and trace elements. Tons of magnesium and other minerals as well.Let it suffice to say that I compared, kelp and chlorella as well, and Spirulina wins hands down! Put in a couple of teaspoons in your paleo smoothie…The other is NATTO! This is a traditional Japanese dish, made of fermented soybeans. (Yum!) Not.Now, normally, I never eat soybeans. Those in the US are GMO, estrogenic, and disgusting. Avoid soy almost always! But, when it comes to getting vitamin K2 into your diet, fermented Japanese (non GMO) soybeans are wonderful! They are the most concentrated form of vitamin K2 that you can find. By far! K2 is so crucial, since it regulates the calcium in your body, and makes sure that it does not go into your blood vessels and heart (this causes heart disease largely) but instead where it should go, into your bones and teeth! Almost everyone is deficient in it in America and Europe, since we have strayed so far from our ancestral diet. Salami, egg yolks, pastured butter, and organ meats have it, but we have left those wonderful foods behind, thanks to our horrible sick care system! (Low fat, vegetable oil, no red meat awful advice of fake science).Now, no one eats natto. Why? It is the slimiest,

I know- this sounds like an extremely unlikely focus for a paleo podcast: you know, eating and living in accordance with our genetic programming, living ancestrally in the manner (as much as possible) in which we evolved. But bear with me…Aside from eating ancestrally (no grains, or at least very little and properly prepared ones like with sour dough ala Weston A. Price), adequate pastured meats, eggs, and dairy along with plenty of vegetables and some fruits like berries or citrus, and sweetening with raw honey and maple syrup- we also need to live according to ancestral principals. Ancient, paleolithic peoples lived in tribes. Such a grouping of people is the healthiest, most natural way for humans to not only survive, but to thrive! We always focus on the survival, and mostly the health related bits of the paleo lifestyle. Like, what can we do to maximize our healthiness and fitness- Perfectly Paleo Exercise, utilizing things like virtual resistance, stretching, walking and running barefoot, and living in contact with the natural world as much as possible. I mean, my podcast and all the other paleo podcasts and written materials go into great detail about all of these things. But the most important thing of all to paleo people was The Grand Narrative!This is the story, the story of the people of the tribe. Think of important stories, like The Odyssey, and Beowulf! Those are wonderful classical examples, but I guarantee you that each and every successful paleolithic tribe had important stories about the heroes of their own tribe that were chanted about the campfires of an evening, pointing out the rare greatness and heroism of their own people! Such stories energized the folk to aspire to greatness, to sacrifice and to aspire to be a mighty warrior, or a beautiful woman with a loving family, or to the elder who counciled with hard-won wisdom both war strategies and planning for the future by provisioning the tribe for a harsh winter…Without such a narrative, people are left rudderless; unable to see a purpose to their survival! But, with a good narrative, a reason to work, and to strive- not only for oneself, or even for the good of your own immediate family- but for the good of the tribe and God himself: this is what truly inspires an individual to greatness. My 4 year old grandson stayed with us for a couple of days this week. He idolizes Batman, and I get it- Batman to him is Odysseus! A great hero, someone with great strength and power, who works tirelessly for the overall good- someone to emulate! I don’t think he could do much better, really. We naturally figure such things out, if not misled, at the ripe old age of FOUR.Think of modern, Neolithic, non paleo people. Those who live in cities and suburbs, buying into the modern tropes and misinformation of our times: They are not concerned with timeless values and the goals of Living Well, Being Good, Protecting Our Tribe from Evil, etc. Etc. No, modern ultracivilized and brainwashed people, cut off from nature, focus on what they have been Misled to Believe by the very enemies of their natural tribe:Climate Change Bad!Orange Man Bad!Borders Bad!All Food Same- Health Only From Doctors and Drugs!Not Arrest Criminals- No Fair!!And the worst of all: Our Tribe Bad! Tribe Privilege!!See the utter nonsense, the brainwashing here? The lack of a people’s grand narrative that would, in contrast, display the utter idiocy of such fake thinking??

Ancient paleo tribes, wandering through Europe- they would have never allowed tribespeople from elsewhere- the other- to come and sit about their campfire with them and their tribesmen and women. To take their laboriously hunted meats and fish, their gathered vegetables- they would have fought rather to the death than give up their land and what they had built! For they were the earliest of pioneers- making and taking what they could from the land to survive and thrive- for their own people and tribe. Imagine: you are living many thousands of years ago in just such a tribe. You have a good life, after centuries of hard, hard work and suffering. You have even developed free elections of your own chiefs, to organize you into warrior bands to protect what you have built. Because, although you are a stone-age cave person, you are not stupid. Then, an evil chief from within your land declares himself a “king”. Or a tyrant of any sort, whatever the name. Many suspect he is insane, but he is powerful and determined. He insists that you welcome all strangers that come against you, even your hereditary enemies from the cannibal tribe in the next valley that you have fought for eons, and not only welcome them, but to give them many of your own huts and caves, and even labor hunting for them, giving 1/2 of what you gain to them and their tribes! Soon, there are nearly as many of the cannibal tribe within your stone walls as without! Many of your children wind up disappearing in the night, and it is known that they are often found in the cannibal tribes cooking pots! Half of your tribe is up in arms, ready to expel these invaders, but the evil king that has mesmerized and fooled many of your fellow tribesmen and women insists that you are just racist, which is just a new term he has made up for the others, which is an evolutionary response that has kept our species safe for eons. Perhaps the king has made a pact with the cannibals, simply to replace his own race in order to be an absolute ruler over these new cannibal folk, who to him are totally subservient. Some suspect he has connived with the cannibals to put strange herbs into the drinking water of his own tribe, making many of them so deluded and naive that they believe somehow that his obvious ruination of their entire tribe and city is somehow ‘only fair’, and so approved of by the gods. Especially the new, Serpent god of the cannibals that he has forced the tribe to worship, as the equal traditional Gods of the Sun and Moon that your tribe has traditionally worshipped. The old heavenly gods told us that men and women were equal under them, and that reason and light, brotherly love and justice were to be valued. The new serpent god, beside cannibalism and human sacrifice, champions men over women, and people in general as far beneath both the evil King and his newly appointed court. Debate is declared to be illegal, and punishable by death. Ultimately, the old gods are banished, and the stone doors of the city are flung wide, allowing all of the evil tribes nearby complete entry. Women are attacked openly in the street, and if any of the original tribe defend them, they are sacrificed to the great Serpent. This early civilization is finished. Now let’s look at a modern parallel: For the first few centuries of America, those who came over did so to carve out a place on a new continent, a place that they could support themselves and their families and posterity in. They had no expectation that it would in any way be easy, or that anything at all would be given to them. They knew they had to struggle, work unbelievably hard, and suffer privations beyond anything that they might have had to suffer at home- but they knew that in the end, they would be free!
