But continued defensive issued once again marred a Galaxy victory and there may not be any answers to this puzzle! On today's show, your hosts Josh Guesman and LA Times soccer reporter Kevin Baxter are back to go back over all the good and the bad from that game and try and decide if the Galaxy should make some moves to make the defense better, or ride the wave of results to the playoffs. Coul they even be considered contenders at this point? First, Zlatan Ibrahimovic had another huge game for the club. His first Galaxy hat-trick follows another big Galaxy name. And it's been quite some time since someone in the blue, white, and gold put three into the back of the net in a single game. Josh and Kevin will next look at Giovani dos Santos and how the Mexican National teamer has been playing much better over the last couple of games. He scored a goal, assisted on another, and generally looked to be an important piece of the Galaxy's unlocking of Orlando. But is his self-imposed press exile hurting him with the fans, the league, and the press? Should the most expensive player on the field be able to shrug off his post-game responsibilities? Finally, the guys will look at the other impact players like Sebastian Lletget, Perry Kitchen, and Ola Kamara and see how they rubbed this game the right or wrong way. CoG Studios, CA -- The LA Galaxy have a huge game coming up against FC Dallas but that isn't even the biggest news of the day! Thanks to the gift that keeps on giving, the MLS Players Union has released it's springtime Salary Survey to allow us to dive into all the gory details! Hosts Josh Guesman and Eric Vieira are back to take you through all the most important Galaxy news and to also answer your calls and questions.  First, the guys start with the numbers. How much does each player make, where are the raises, where are the contract adjustments and why on earth is Romain Alessandrini making less than he was last year? Plus, he reported in the LA Times, and it actually came true - Jorgen Skjelvik, as reported by Josh, is the highest paid defender in the league at $1-million in total compensation. What does that mean for the Galaxy? And what does that mean for the rest of the league? And as fast as we start the numbers conversation, we get some great calls to help us out.  We're going to answer all those calls and continue to break down the Galaxy's roster into bite-sized pieces as we discuss Giovani dos Santos' salary, Perry Kitchen, Jonathan dos Santos, and almost everyone else. Including Ashley Cole's large salary increase! But could all of the Galaxy's defensive and offensive struggles be fixed by some coaching changes? Next, the guys will be joined by Galaxy play-by-play announcer Christian Miles. Christian will talk about the Galaxy's struggles early in the season and start to lead the conversation in the direction of the game on FC Dallas. And when the guys get back, they'll power through the game this weekend and why, or why not, Dallas might be prime for the taking. It's a great show, filled with some of the best Galaxy-talk you can find! And as always, thanks for joining us! Music Provided by Back Pocket Memory.

We discuss the three United players called up to the USMNT and the fact that Jonathan Gonzalez has chosen to play for Mexico instead. We end the first segment by discussing United's trade of the rights of Perry Kitchen and whether or not we would want to trade for Ola Kamara or Justin Meram, both of whom are rumored to want out of Columbus. In the second segment (41:46) we welcome on our old friend Travis Clark of Top Drawer Soccer to talk about the MLS SuperDraft. We ask Travis whether or not this draft class is weak and who the best available players are that D.C. United could take at the third spot. We discuss the fact that the Generation adidas class is mostly international players and discuss the top picks in the draft and from the DMV. We also theorize about what would happen if D.C. United traded down, and talk about the possibility of Eryk Williamson going abroad and what that means for United. Give it a listen!

Your host Josh Guesman will discuss all the happenings around the re-entry draft and get you updated on all the rumors. It's been a busy few days in Whitecapsland as the various incarnations of Vancouver Whitecaps played four games over two days and came away with just one win, two draws and a loss. The defeat came in MLS action on Saturday night where referee Dave Gantar gave the impression that he wanted to be the centre of attention. Whether he did or not, he became it anyway. We look back at just what went wrong in the Caps' 2-1 loss to DC and get the thoughts of both coaches, Vancouver's Carl Robinson and DC's Ben Olsen, along with Whitecaps captain Pedro Morales and goalkeeping rock David Ousted. We also have some exclusive chats from the victorious DC United locker room as we hear from debutant sub keeper Travis Worra, matchwinner Chris Rolfe and Perry Kitchen, and we talk with Kofi Opare about the game and the chances of him suiting up for the Canadian national team. Turning our attention to USL action, we take a brief look at WFC2's 1-1 draw with Seattle Sounders 2 on Sunday and hear from coach Alan Koch, goalscorer Robert Earnshaw and captain Tim Parker. And there's still time to have an extended one on one chat with S2 head coach Ezra Hendrickson about the game, his team's season so far and just how Seattle are looking to use their USL side.

Another Tuesday means another Filibuster, and all is right with the world. Adam, Jason, and Ben start by talking about D.C. United's 2-2 draw against the New York Red Bulls. We talk about Perry Kitchen's overall performance, what he and Davy Arnaud did differently in this game versus the game in Red Bull Arena, the two set piece goals that United gave up late, Kori Opare's role in those goals specifically, and we look at the differences between New York and United's set piece strategy. We then talk about United's upcoming match against the Houston Dynamo, talk about the strange season that they have had so far, what effect Owen Coyle has had on the team, and their most recent win against the Montreal Impact. Finally, we open the Twitterbox and answer your questions about Miguel Aguilar and what Jairo Arrieta's role will be when Fabian Espindola comes back. Give it a listen!

The Filibuster gang is still sad about Thursday night, but we're here for you. Adam, Ben, Jason, and Donald talk about what the hell happened in D.C. United's Concacaf Champions League game against LD Alajuelense, including dissecting the play of Andrew Dykstra, Steve Birnbaum and Bobby Boswell, and Davy Arnaud and Perry Kitchen. We also talk about the scheduling of the game and theorize if there would be any way to move it even a little later. Donald then regales us with the epic story of his cab ride during his layover leaving Costa Rica. If nothing else, please listen to this story: it involves the tourism police! We then turn back to soccer and talk about the second leg of the CCL quarterfinals, and ask if D.C. United can climb the mountain before them both offensively and defensively. We also discuss whether or not any of the likes of Jairo Arrieta, Miguel Aguilar, or Michael Farfan should start this game. In the third segment, we preview D.C. United's opening weekend match against the Montreal Impact, because we are optimists. We look at their first CCL game, whether they can translate that success into MLS, and whether or not the CCL will affect either team's performance on Saturday. Finally, in a rarely seen fourth segment, we have to talk about the collective bargaining between MLS and its players' union. We talk about how there may or may not have been some progress in negotiations, give our predictions as to whether the season will start on time, and beat the drum for the University of California solution to the problem. It is a jam-packed episode, so give it a listen!

Adam is back from his scouting trip to Alaska, and Filibuster is back in your ears. We start off by talking all things D.C. United preseason trialists: Andrew Driver and David Estrada, Rocket Rod Dyachenko, the center backs (Futty Danso, Rauwshawn McKenzie, and Sean St Ledger), and the goalkeeping trialists that are Diego Restrepo, Richard McCallum, and Riccardo Anedda. We then talk about injuries suffered this season (Eddie Johnson and Michael Seaton) and at the end of last season (Luis Silva, Chris Rolfe, Andrew Dykstra, and Conor Doyle). It could be an interesting forward pairing to start the year if these players don't start getting health (but most of them are doing so). When then talk about Perry Kitchen, Steve Birnbaum, and the USMNT's Camp Cupcake. They play Chile tonight, and they may do so in a strange formation. Is Jurgen Klinsmann actually just Tom Soehn? Finally, we introduce a new segment entitled "Metro Offseason Failure" before taking some of your Twitterbox questions. Give it a listen!

It is MLS SuperDraft week, and that means that it is time for our yearly chat with Top Drawer Soccer's Travis Clark, the expert on all things college soccer. We talk about Cyle Larin, Cristian Roldan, and the other top players in the draft, the depth (or lack thereof) of talent in this draft, and the various goalkeepers in the draft (and where D.C. United should take them). We then ask Travis about picking for need versus picking the best available player, the Generation Adidas class this year, prospects from around greater DMV area, the effect of USL PRO, and whether or not there are any D.C. United Academy players who might sign soon. After we bid farewell to Travis, we turn our attention to D.C. United news. We talk about SB Nation's mock SuperDraft, the signing of Markus Halsti, how Halsti will fit in with Perry Kitchen and Davy Arnaud, the callup of Steve Birnbaum and Perry Kitchen to the USMNT, the Concacaf Champions League, and United's coaching changes. It is a jam-packed show, so give it a listen! Note: There is some joking about the Metro in this podcast, before we knew the full seriousness of the tragedy. We apologize for the tastelessness of the joke.
