The following is a peak behind the curtain at a discussion between the Angry Christian Podcast hosts via Facebook messenger as it relates to the effectiveness of the new Arizona Bill HB 2650 aimed at charging those who get an abortion and those who carry out the abortion procedure with homicide, as well as the effectiveness of other tactics aimed at ending abortion in the United States. In addition to that, I think you'll find an interesting dialogue as Brad and Brian don't actually agree on the issue, and you will see how Christians can discuss a hot topic, disagree, and yet be respectful of one another and still land on opposite sides of a debate. Did you make an error? Or was it a mistake? We often fret about going through life making errors. We try not to make them but we make them anyway. What can we do about it? Make it into a moment. Because life is too short and sometimes it’s the moments that bring us together. That or a lotto dream. © Hope It’s A Trap 2020 Music by TRG Banks, Matt Oakley, Simon Panrucker and Kevin MacLeod

Additional music today provided by Simon Panrucker www.soundcloud.com/simonpanrucker I'm releasing this VERY FUNNY podcast with my brother today because IT IS HIS BIRTHDAY! Happy Birthday to my number one muse, you are funny and brave and annoying and I love/hate when you challenge me to be courageous and the best I can be. I am largely who I am because of you. We have been speaking on the phone every day since lock down (he's in Australia), which we started to help his extreme struggle with depression and loneliness. These things are linked to, and also separate from, his mental illness, which he explains is kind of still misdiagnosed. It occurred to me I'm releasing this during Mental Health Awareness Week. My brother would probably hate that, he does not get along with things like Mental Health Awareness Week. I would encourage you to ask him why, but you probably won't like what he'll say. Things like MHAW have been really instrumental in helping me find the vocabulary to talk about my own health, and to feel comfortable talking about it to others, who are probably more open to receiving it, because of things like MHAW. I have struggled with anxiety, stress, low mood, and carry around a deep melancholy and self-loathing mostly as a result of being chronically bullied in my childhood. I have received years of low-cost therapy, attended NHS workshops, paid for mindfulness courses, and have found great strength and understanding from continuing to share my journey of growth with my friends and family. At the risk of paraphrasing and getting it wrong, I think my brother finds things like MHAW problematic because he struggles to get the right and compassionate help, care, medication, funding and general daily respect from we, the public, that is his right as a gorgeous human being. So on Mental Health Awareness Week, have a listen to this podcast, we accidentally bust some myths about people with schizophrenia/personality disorders/mental illness just through a charming bit of banter! Please join me wishing Liam Happy Birthday, because he's GLORIOUS and deserves ALL THE LOVE. AND HE IS 38 HAHAHAHA, OLD MAN!
A new episode after a long painful break spent not making podcasts; a freaky story all the way from Siberia. Music by Simon Panrucker https://soundcloud.com/simonpanrucker
Kate Raworth's internationally acclaimed idea of Doughnut Economics has been widely influential amongst sustainable development thinkers, progressive businesses and political activists, and she has presented it to audiences ranging from the UN General Assembly to the Occupy movement. The Guardian even named her as “one of the top ten tweeters on economic transformation”. And last Tuesday Kate tweeted pictures of the world's first City Doughnut Day in Philadelphia, advising they are “plotting a tool so we can share it widely.” Kate's best-selling book ‘Doughnut Economics: 7 ways to think like a 21st century economist' continues to provide perhaps the most promising framework for achieving an economy fit for this century. Along with the simple yet profound visual symbol and metaphor for going about the change in how we think and organise ourselves. So to celebrate Doughnut Day, and on the back of where our last episode left off, it seemed like a good time to feature Kate on this podcast again. All the more in light of our live conversation event the day before Doughnut Day, launching Katherine Trebeck's ‘Economics of Arrival', for which Kate wrote the foreword. With the extractive 20th century model of economy continuing to falter as it hits up against a range of limits, and the world moved once again by Greta's presence at the UN's Climate Action Summit and the largest climate strike the world has seen (so far), Kate's powerful, holistic and achievable vision for our economy seems worth keeping front of mind. It's also a week out from the next National New Economy Network conference here in Perth, Australia, and it was at the 2nd of these national conferences where this 20-minute keynote address by Kate was given. It features Kate beaming in on the big screen with her customary power pack delivery, on how the economy has come to work the way it does, and how to reorient it towards what we need and want in an economy today. It's followed by Q&A with the capacity audience of around 300 people at Brisbane's South Bank, hosted by Network co-founder Dr Michelle Maloney. So how are we to create an economy that, in Kate's words, is ‘distributive and regenerative by design'? And how can we become less concerned about the growth of our economy, and more concerned about improving it? Get more: Kate's website - https://www.kateraworth.com Hear Kate in conversation with Anthony in episode 3 - https://www.regennarration.com/episodes/003-doughnut-economics Kate and her team are in the process of setting-up the Doughnut Economics Action Lab (DEAL) ‘in order to connect and empower those who want to turn the ideas of Doughnut Economics into transformative practice to create a world that thrives. EPISODE 104: HOLIDAY HORROR & NOIR What Are You Afraid Of? Horror & Paranormal Show with horror authorsT. Fox Dunham and Phil Thomas. The mid-winter season has a tradition of scary stories and legends, and we’re back to share them! Fox isn’t dead! And he’s not a zombie, we swear. After a forced break while Fox dealt with pneumonia, What Are You Afraid Of? Horror & Paranormal Show returns with a holiday-themed episode, featuring ghost stories, silly tunes and noir fiction. Horror authors T. Fox Dunham & Phil Thomas catch up then discuss the dark legends and customs that evolved in Europe during the mid-winter holidays—and these are some horrible and twisted Christmas stories told to children. Don’t be naughty or else! Cannibals. Giant cats. And trolls just to name a few Yule ghouls. Fox narrates a true ghost story about the classic haunting of an old apartment building. Horror author Todd Keisling, author of The Smile Factory, shares his paranormal experiences at 146 West High Street. We play two silly holiday songs from British musician Simon Panrucker—composer for several cartoons and one of the hosts of The Past Present Future Funcast. We play his holiday carol, Leave My Nuts Alone! The show closes with a holiday noir story written by celebrated crime and horror author, Andy Rausch. Santa’s Little Helper is a sardonic tale about a burglar and a little boy who thinks he’s Santa, narrated by our amazing David Walton. Yeah. We’re terrible people! But as we learned, the mid-winter holidays have always been a time of ghost stories and dark tales, and we invite you to celebrate the creepy side of Yule with us. Or the Krampus will stick you in a sack and beat you with a stick. Oh . . . and leave his nuts alone!

I left out the musical act this week. I even laid off the kissing noises, but they will always be there. Who would Bugs Bunny be without the huge wet kiss? Please keep it simple and stupid!Funding for this EpisodeAudible.com - amzn.to/2mrfBfFAudible is audio entertainment that entertains, educates, and inspires.Enjoy this with your free trial:30 days of membership free, plus two free audiobooks that are yours forever.1 credit a month after trial, good for any book regardless of price.Exclusive members savings. Welcome to this week's podcast. I think everyone will actually enjy this podcast. My efforts as a podcaster is continuing to grow as a share each week my ideas with everyone. The title of this week's episode is, "the Art of Being Successful". Success is not always given the full appreciation that it should. Nor should the idea of knowing how to feel successful be taking lightly. I give my opinions of the subject and hope that I give birth to new ideas in your mind. I brought back the audio track portion of the show. I hope you enjoy the song.Sponsorship: Discover Card"Become a Discover Card member and get a $50 Cashback Bonus when you make your first purchase within three months. This episode is a short episode. The name of the episode is "Borrowed Time". I am still working on themes for the podcast, but you may still enjoy the show. If not I enjoyed doing the show. I also introduced Angry Man for the first time. I have an idea that he will be showing more of himself.Sponsorship: Discover Card"Become a Discover Card member and get a $50 Cashback Bonus when you make your first purchase within three months. Brent, Chris and David discuss the homework assignment (the... .... ... movie John Dies at the End). Taking a cue from the fictional drug Soy Sauce in that movie, we talk at length about Fictional Drugs! Tripping the light fantastic through movies, TV and even videogames (we'll save a plasmid-laced potions for ya), we talk about weird ones, even weirder ones, and ones we might even take (going for that 100% Bradley Cooper brain, yo). Enjoy responsibly, Honda Fonda. The direct podcast RSS feed is here. And please contact us through email, Facebook (movies, TV, games), and Twitter. Please give us a (good?) review on iTunes (here), Google Play (here), or anywhere to give us a boost! Homework Follow-up: John Dies at the End (0:54) Main Topic: Fictional Drugs in Movies, TV, and Games (17:34) New Homework Assignment: On Golden Pond (Netflix) (44:32) Slight warning: Some mild language (Intro courtesy of The Willow Walkers / Outro "Ding Dong" courtesy of Simon Panrucker, via the Free Music Archive, CC-BY)
