Most of us grew up with sblings but the expericne of having siblings can vary depending on who you ask. Somtimes the mishaps and drama doesnt even come from your brother or sister but from your own parents. A new study was released and shows that parents commonly display favoritism amongst their own childeren. The morning show crew had alot to say!
We've always had to use the restroom when we're out and about. Somtimes it can be a great experience and other times, not so much. Starbuckst inparticular has put an end to their public restrrom policy and it comes with mixed opinions. The morning show crew discusses the last place they would ever want to be using the restrroom.
Samuel chapter 2 starts out by saying that it was rare for God to speak to someone, as if it had been common place at a different time. Did God speak people regularly at some point in the past? Does God still speak to people today? If he does, how does he do it? Is it just a few special people or can anyone hear God's voice? These are all things we talk about this Sunday. We gather every Sunday at 10:30 am both online and in-person. Small groups meet throughout the week.

Somtimes you have to have a goof off night. It's important to not be so serious especially with the rediculousness that's going on in our world. I mean daily we're dealing with heavy stuff that really makes us have to grind. Tonight was not a grind. Enjoy the show as we talk about Gen Z's vibe. Belgian prison guards who have to have sex. The guys discuss their zodiac signs need for specific kinds of porn and Fitz has a knitted condom. We still got into a lot of news like the Bently terrorist, AI's Sam Atman's weird employment saga, and some random updates on stuff we called a while back. Mostly, we just had fun. Psalm 13-God is Good. Songs For Saints: Weekly Psalm Devotions When you pray, but it feels like it's not getting through, where do you turn? Even the great King David found prayer a challenge. Somtimes he wasn't sure which way to turn. But despite all that he, and we oursleves, can hang on to one abiding truth: God is good! All the time! So keep trusting! Psalms express every experience of life, every emotion and situation human beings can face They point us to the God who made us and loves us. And give glimpses of Jesus and the hope and life he offers us. Blessings, Philip https://sixthirtythree.co.uk

Indra and I spoke about how he uses astrology AND the enneagrams together to help his clients! I found these two ideas married together to be pretty darn fascinating so I lept at the chance to talk about this overlap with someone who has been with working with both the Enneagrams and Astrology for many years! Indra wants to focus on trandscending the "stories" we use to write our own narratives. Somtimes we use these narrtaives to our own detriment and write ourselves into a corner. By taking away the borders we make for ourselves, we can see through our conditioning and begin to see our truest nature; The simple uncluttered truth. There are things about ourselves that we're pretty negative about, Somtimes those things that we've experienced didn't reflect our best self. It doesn't mean that we're a good or bad person, it just means that we're still trying to figure it out. When you are harsh on yourself the more you're likely to do those same things, So one of the ways that you can move away from this is to make fun of it, decide that you're going to do it differently next time. Remember, joy and happiness, and gratefulness are the best ways to change a habit than any other way. I love you. We’re jumping into our coverage on the hat man. So, there are many claims of dark figures that seemingly watch us from the shadows. One of the most prolific and widely encountered being what people refer to as simply, the hat man. This entity has appeared to thousands of people across the globe, primarily at night, and always wearing a hat of some sort. The primary tie in all of these stories is that people who experience an encounter are usually woken from sleep to find a shadowy figure standing over them. The figure is always tall with a cloak and hat. Somtimes that hat is widebrimmed, sometimes short, sometimes a cowboy hat, but it is always on top of his head. He’s always marked by shadows, but in some instances people even report seeing his eyes, red glowing things staring at them from the darkness, and his mouth, a wide, hungry smile eagerly feeding on their fear. Hello Mommas! The holidays are coming in so fast and before we all get busy with life, parties, kids and everything else, I just wanted to talk to you about dealing with the holidays when you’re feeling depressed, down, overwhelmed and anxious. If you are feeling these things, I want to assure you that you are not alone. 90% of people are feeling the exact same way. Holiday depression and stress is a real thing and it happens even to the best of us.Through this episode, I want to be able to help you find a way to deal and manage with these feelings and suggest some things you can do to make the holidays a bit better for you and your family. I want you to be happy during this season momma’s and I’ll be discussing some things that I know might help you out. [02:32] The holidays are stressful and hard but we are doing Christmas for the kids and, hopefully, for ourselves. So, if we are going to do it, let’s make it a little easier. Take some deep breaths and say “I’m doing this.” Let’s make it fun.[03:52] I want you mommas to take care of yourself during this time of the year. Whatever it is, do something for you.[04:33] For a lot of us, holidays can cause depression and stress. It really is a hard time. Try and think about your kids why you’re doing this. Somtimes it’s hard and brings back bad memories, overwhelm, financial. Try to take care of yourself during this whole season.[06:19] We have to find a way to deal with balancing everything - shopping, family, parties, house guests - to decrease your feeling of overwhelm. If you don’t look at this you may find yourself having a headache, getting physically sick, excessive drinking, overeating, etc. It’s going to find it’s way out and I want to help you find a way to not let that happen.[7:05] New Year’s day can also be another time people feel awful about starting the new year and I don’t want you to feel that way momma’s.[08:25] What can we do to get through the holidays and make it a little bit better? Make a list of realistic expectations - what you can expect from family, kids, friends and your financial state. Don’t overextend yourself. Don’t do it because you’re going to be dealing with stress for a long time if you overspend.[09:56] Set a goal for yourself. What do you want to get out of the holidays? Everyone has their own goal. Make your own goal according to what feels right for you. Don’t take on more than what you are able to do.[11:00] Make a list and prioritize. Have it all set out in your calendar. Get it out of your head and put it on paper, it really helps.[12:11] Think about the holidays as just a day to not put too much pressure on yourself. Try to enjoy it. Plan as much as you can ahead of time so that you don’t get stressed. Don’t compare yourself to others on social media or to past holidays you’ve had. On the holiday, you shouldn’t be on social media.[14:28] If you’re struggling for money, there’s a lot of things that you can do for free. Look at holiday lights, go window shopping, engage in snow play, try to enjoy the whole season.[15:23] Try to celebrate the holidays in a new way. The last thing that I want you to do is agree to participate in a family event that makes you unhappy. Figure out a new tradition or holiday stuff with your immediate family or your kids to make it something new and not keep putting you through stuff that makes you upset.[16:23] Make some time for yourself. Do something nice for you.[17:20] Try to spemd th holidays with people you actually enjoy. It’s hard because we all have people in our family that we have to spend time with, but if you are spending time with them then set some boundaries, keep distance or just don’t go.[17:56] Do something that makes you laugh. Try to make some room during the day to make it fun. It can really make a difference however simple it is.[18:30] Enjoy the moment with your family because you won’t get that back.[19:09] If you feel like you don’t have anyone to spend the holidays with, you can volunteer, go somewhere where there’s other people - nursing homes are a great place, call a friend.
Each week it's important to look back at the end of your week and identify what lessons you have learned that will help you not only learn more about you, but gain feedback so you can keep on improving you to reach the heights you want to reach. This week the lesson learned here The Days Go So Fast. This past quarter has been the fastest quarter I have ever experienced. Why? These 4 reasons below; 1. Planned out last quarter in great depth. 2. Set outcomes for each month. 3. Broke down the months into weeks. 4. Broke down the weeks into days. By doing this each week for the past three months enables you to stay focus on accomplishing your goals for the quarter. Will your goals always be achieved within that 3 month time frame? Somtimes yes and sometimes no. It really depends on the goal and the action steps that need to be done to achieve it. Ensure you listen to this episode and get out your notebook to take notes. Some kids are scared to go to the dentist, but not me. I have a funny dentist. His name is Dr. Smiley face. I don't think that's his real name, but that's what he tells all the kids who come to see him. He has a cool waiting room. It has video games and a big toy box. Dr. Smileyface always wears funny hats. Somtimes he has his face painted. He asks funny questions like, "Are you married yet?" and "Do you eat flowers to make your breath smell so sweet?" That makes me laugh. One time, he told me this joke, "What has lots of teeth, but never goes to the dentist? A comb!" When I laughed, he pulled out my tooth. It didn't hurt at all! He also teaches me how to take care of my teeth because he says he doesn't want me to get a really big cavity. Before I go home, he always gives me a surprise. Last time I went, he gave me a rubber spider to scare my mom with. Word list: comb: a small, plastic object for brushing hair; cavity: a hole in someon...

Career Corner and Life Transitions In this episode: We are both going through pretty major life transitions right now, and we expect some of you are, too. We wanted to discuss how we’re coping with them so that maybe your life can get just a little easier. Mostly talking about new jobs because that’s the kind of transition we are both going through, but lots of things cause them, from health to marriage to kids to a hundred other things. What’s funny about us, though, is that we traded--Void went from freelancing into a full-time position, while Beej went from a full-time position to freelancing. Weird, right? It turns out that we have kind of the Geek to Geek Career Corner this episode inadvertently, so we talk about how we use our skills from other places to really move into something we love, and that even though we are changing, it’s still a career path that we both intended to take, and that some things happened by accident. The hardest parts of life transitions, though, are how routines get thrown off, sleep being hard to get, and how sometimes, our bodies just aren’t able to cope with the change in ergonomics and space that we are thrown into when you’re changing jobs or locations. Somtimes, it’s hard to motivate yourself because your routine is so different, and even when you can get the ergonomics right for your space, finding that space itself can be hard in a new location. We both play video games (obviously) to destress from the changes in our lives, and mainly use mainstays that don’t take a lot of brainpower to get through. Both of us tend to work with stuff going on in the backs of our heads, and learning new mechanics and systems and anything complicated just makes us that much more exhausted. Podcasts and audiobooks are a great way to just escape, break out of work mode, and use them on commutes. While they take some active brainpower to listen to, they can be more passive than sitting and reading, which is great when you’re experiencing transition fatigue. And you gotta exercise. We aren’t doing as much as we’d like, but it helps a lot. Going out and running in good weather, using a stationary bike, even doing yoga stretches at your desk or between projects is a great way to make your day seem a little less exhausting. You can also dedicate some time in the morning or the evening to have some specific active time that you distance yourself from whatever your transition is, keeping that period up with your normal routine that’s been changed. And everyone has some comfort TV. Void loves anything witty and well-written like Aaron Sorkin’s The West Wing or YouTube videos that don’t have a deep time commitment, and Beej loves old sitcoms like New Girl or Parks and Rec to keep him giggling with it in the background.
