For Durand, success isn't defined by fame or metrics. “In this industry, there's a tendency to focus on the destination — the fame, the numbers, the accolades. But the real joy is in the process of creating. That's what lights me up. The journey of writing, improvising, and making music is where the magic happens.” While she's been a working musician for years, she admits she's still figuring out how to navigate the business side of music. “I've never been great at releasing or marketing my music. But now I'm learning, because I want people to hear what I'm creating. I want these songs to reach people.” In addition to her own projects, Durand is passionate about teaching singers to actually enjoy their own voice. She offers voice lessons to singers in Los Angeles, where she also produces original music for her students. “I love helping other singers find their voice — not just vocally, but creatively. My goal is to empower artists to trust their instincts and embrace the joy of improvisation.” Durand's artistry is deeply rooted in collaboration and connection. She believes music is a universal language that has the power to bridge cultures and experiences. “Music is transformative. It's a way to express the human experience and connect with people on a soul level.”

Clarity(she/they/it)is a techno DJ originating from London, with current roots in the Bay Area. She engaged the art of DJing during the pandemic, doubling down on a deep love of the rave culture from her European home base. With this consolidation of passion and mixing, she's podcasted for stations across Europe and the world including FOLD, Instruments of Discipline, Erotic Sentimentalism, HRA Berlin, Dusk Records, Singularity LA, DaisyChain, Techno's Children, and Speedmaster Records. It is clear her sound resonates with the tastes of listeners, and this live recording can attest. Victime de harcèlement sexuel, des comportements fréquents dans le monde de la pâtisserie selon elle, Aurélie est dégoutée de ce milieu. Elle décide de tirer un trait sur sa passion. Elle découvre alors le monde de la tekno grâce son conjoint. Lui-mêne DJ, il part mixer le soir. Curieuse, Aurélie décide d'essayer les platines qui sont dans le salon et de mixer en son absence. Elle se découvre une véritable passion et se lance à son tour comme DJ. Elle travaille la semaine comme assistante juridique et enflamme le weekend les soirées tekno parisiennes. Une double vie jusqu'à, il y a deux mois où, elle a décidé de vivre de sa passion. Aujourd'hui, Aurélie ou DJ Lili, mixe pour les plus grandes soirées parisiennes DJ tekno, acidcore et psytrance et a fondé son collectif à demain matin. Shalabieh's tells stories from Bilad Al Sham (the Levant) as well as other traditions and regions. Her repertoire includes folktales, testimonies and oral histories, contemporary stories. Sally has been working in the oral tradition since 2005 and has performed at various venues and festivals locally and internationally. Sally's practice is a continuous process of research and development of which the performance is one part. This process results in a newer version of the stories she works with. These new tellings respect the traditions and the story whilst also reflecting more contemporary concepts and values.Sally has presented various shows of including Khair Ya Tayer, a storytelling performance that tells the story of the Palestinian Nakba through testimonies and oral histories. Khair ya Tayer was performed in Amman (2017 and 2019), in Nablus (2018), Bahrain (2018), and Ramallah (2019). She has also been working on developing a contemporary telling of the bio-epic Sirat Al Thaher Baybars and has been telling stories from the epic every year since 2017, thus becoming being the first woman to tell the epic of Al Thaher Baybars (the Mamluk king) in a public space.Sally is also a writer and translator. She has translated two anthologies from the Syrian folktales series “Timeless Tales” and written various audio pieces. Serena Giuliano. Je suivais déjà Serena sur les réseaux sociaux, où elle s'est fait connaître grâce à son blog il y a déjà quelques années. Son premier roman, Ciao Bella, est paru au mois de mars aux éditions du Cherche-Midi.   Ensemble on a parlé de l'Italie et de la langue italienne, mais aussi de déracinement, de maternité, et bien entendu, d'écriture. Car Serena a écrit la majeure partie de Ciao Bella en une semaine, coupée du monde dans sa maison d'enfance italienne. Dans ce troisième épisode de La Page Blanche, je reçois Caroline Caugant pour discuter de l'écriture de son deuxième roman, Les Heures solaires, paru en janvier 2019 chez Stock. Les Heures solaires croise le destin de trois femmes, de trois générations différentes. Généalogie, filiation et héritage sont au coeur de ce drame familial à l'écriture fine, ciselée, lumineuse. Un magnifique roman que j'avais vraiment à coeur de partager.  Avec Caroline nous avons discuté de la genèse des Heures solaires et toutes les thématiques clés du roman, avant de revenir sur l'écriture de son tout premier roman, Une baigneuse presque ordinaire. On a également parlé du travail de réécriture et du regard bienveillant de son éditrice sur son travail.  J'ai passé un excellent moment avec Caroline, une personne aussi lumineuse que ses mots, et c'est un vrai bonheur de l'entendre. J'espère que cet épisode vous plaira! Pour ce deuxième épisode de La Page Blanche, je reçois Sophie Astrabie, l'auteure du Pacte d'Avril, qui vient tout juste de paraître en petit format chez Livre de Poche. J'ai découvert Sophie grâce à Instagram, et un peu par hasard, je dois le reconnaître. J'ai tout de suite été séduite par ses publications, son style, son écriture qui transparaît entre les lignes d'un simple post, et aussi par son humour. Ses textes sont fins, ciselés, avec juste ce qu'il faut d'ironie et d'esprit...Tout ce que j'aime! Je n'ai pas tardé à me procurer son premier roman, Le Pacte d'Avril, intriguée par cette jeune auteure au talent prometteur. Sophie est quelqu'un de très accessible, de très ouvert et de très sincère quant à la réalité de son métier, et ça j'ai beaucoup apprécié. On en a profité pour parler autoédition, un sujet qu'on évoque finalement assez peu, et vous verrez que tout ce que Sophie a à dire sur le sujet est très intéressant. On a évoqué aussi la relation auteur-éditeur et la position un peu délicate du de l'auteur qui publie son premier roman. Et bien sûr, on a parlé d'écriture, de la difficulté de tout lâcher pour se consacrer à un seul projet, de l'inspiration qui ne tombe pas du ciel...Et d'instagram ! Bref, beaucoup de sujets différents. Je tiens à dire que j'ai pris un grand plaisir à enregistrer cet épisode, et je remercie encore vivement Sophie d'avoir accepté mon invitation.
