No Ro this week so in his absence we talk about one of his favourite topics - pokies. Kush wistfully retells his experience at a local pokie den playing the classics such as “Where's The Gold?” “Lucky Dragon” and of course “Bull Rush.” We then talk about Swing City, Employees Only, Sen issues an apology for defending Mr Beast last week before finally moving onto more topical and current news - Raygun. Full disclosure this episode was recorded back when Raygun was still relevant and we really wanted to share our 2 cents on it. For our game this week “Price is Right” is back. Instead of guessing house prices or even rental prices, Kush and Sen try guessing the prices of popular fast food items. We end this week with another return segment “Hypotheticals.” A segment where we can waffle on about scenarios which would never happen meaning we can make outlandish claims with no backlash.___________________________________________________________FULL PODCAST EPISODES

Nathan Ro bounced onto the music scene as a contestant on Project Fame. His laid back, acoustic beach boy style won him many fans on the show in which he placed second. Ro then formed the mischievous, electro-rock band Lonehill Estate which toured Europe and the US with hit singles such as Daans, Technoband and Look Good. In a drastic turn of genre, Nathan Ro teamed up with Graeme Watkins and Loyiso Bala to form the swinging super-group Swing City. Ro's most recent release was a colab with The Kiffness called Wiggle A Bit which blew up in February this year. Now, Nathan Ro has released a new solo album entitled African Grey which takes him all the way back to his "beachsand and cocktails" style that started it all. The album is a collection of songs about South African cities with 60's influences being poured over a fun splash of acoustic folk. He joins Brent on today's Good Things Guy podcast.

Soul Damn Funky went on the back burner for about a year until Russell decided to bring it back in the form or a radio show, DJ collective, an online music network and more recently a compilation album. April 2012 and the H Bar in Hove became the new home for Soul Damn Funky parties, every event was a massive success, since starting out in 2010 we've had some of the biggest names in house grace the decks at our nights including: DJ Romain, Paul Trouble Anderson, CJ Mackintosh, Sarah Favouritizm and Victor Simonelli. So its time to add another name to the wall of Soul Damn Funky fame and welcome Richard Earnshaw into the booth. Over the last 10 years, Richard has been nothing short or prolific when it comes to output, having remixed and produced for many labels including Duffnote, Guess, One51, Defected, Soulfuric, King St, Swing City, Large, BMG, Ministry of Sound, Hed Kandi, Purple Music, Morehouse, Peppermint Jam to name but a few. And for the first time at one of our events we have live music from six piece funk & soul band… THE REAL DECOYS The Real Decoys are a 5 piece high energy band based in Brighton playing a repertoire of timeless funk, soul, rare groove and disco...The band is made up of a group of very talented experienced and professional musicians who combine a sense of style, sophistication, and charisma with spontaneity, fun and panache.
