O Dr Jacques Belik é formado em Medicina pela Faculdade de Ciências Médicas da Santa Casa de São Paulo. Fez a sua residência em Pediatria nos Estados Unidos, parte em Memphis no Tenesse e parte em Columbus, Ohio. Depois, optou pelo fellowship em Neonatologia na University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, na Filadelfia. A partir daí, foi trabalhar no Canadá, onde hoje atua como cientista sênior emérito do Programa de Medicina Translacional do Sick Children em Toronto. Também é professor emérito do Departamento de Pediatria e Fisiologia da Universidade de Toronto. Sua área de pesquisa inclui a fisiologia da circulação pulmonar durante a transição da vida fetal para a neonatal, a patogênese da síndrome de hipertensão pulmonar do recém-nascido e a lesão pulmonar induzida pela ventilação mecânica. Dimitri Tiomkin es un judío ruso que tras la Revolución rusa emigró primero a Berlín y luego a Nueva York para terminar en Hollywood tras el crack de 1929. Considerado ya un niño prodigio en su país, su capacidad para la orquestación y la melodía le valieron para escribir algunas de las bandas sonoras más grandes de todos los tiempos, destacando sobremanera en sus trabajos para las películas del Oeste. Anoche en Nashville, Tenesse, los candidatos a la presidencia de Estados Unidos por fin debatieron. Fue un buen debate, intenso, pero sin mayores instituciones ni sobresaltos.

Cette semaine pas de briefing de course mais un portrait de Oufff !  Et quel Oufff nous accueillons aujourd'hui : Guillaume Calmettes. Peut-être que ce nom ne vous dit rien et pourtant c'est le seul francais à avoir boucler 3 boucles sur la mythique Barkley. Une course qui a lieu dans le Tenesse dans la foret de Frozen Head et organisée par le farfelu Laz. Pour être finisher de cette course, sur le papier rien de plus simple : faire 5 boucles faisant 30 kilomètres chacune. La chose se complique quand il faut les faire en moins de 12 heures, en ramenant des pages de livres semmés sur le parcours. Le parcours est tellement difficile que seulement 15 personnes l'ont fini en l’espace de 30 ans. I feel that Southern food is very much representative of American food in general. I think it is to me the most indicative of what American food has been and continues to evolve. Personally I try to keep it much in line with who I am and what my background speaks to. I try not to appropriate cultures that are not mine. I understand that Southern food in general comes from a culture that is not my culture.  There are a lot of those influences in the food that I cook, I feel more comfortable that I'm not appropriating them because I'm seeing them through the lens of time. Luego de que el Departamento de Justicia Federal, dirigido interinamente por Jeff Sessions hasta la fecha de este show, le pusiera la tapa al pote sobre el plebiscito de Puerto Rico, se ha formado un revuelo en muchos politiqueros. Porque dice la carta del Departamento de Justicia Federal que la libre asociación es independencia, que la ciudadanía americana no es exclusiva de la estadidad sino que también puede ser al territorio, y que el territorio tal y como está debe ser incluido en el plebiscito del 11 de junio de 2017. Unos dicen que incluir el territorio es como resucitar el ELA, otros no lo ven así, muchos que apoyan el ELA no quieren participar aunque este incluido, los independentistas dicen que van a buscar alianzas para boicotear, y los estadistas ni crean crisis ni ponen en práctica el plan Tenesse, sino que van a enmendar la ley del plebiscito para hacer lo que dice Justicia Federa diga. Así que como la #NaciónChancleta es mucho más creativa que los políticos que nos gobiernan, hoy creamos crisis al estilo nuestro.
