On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is joined by Joe From Queens to discuss several topics, including going back to revisit their Buffalo Bills individual and team predictions made before the 2024 season started, figuring out what they got right and wrong. In an episode that dropped before the season started, Patrick and Joe each made 20 Bills predictions for the season. Most inaccurate predictions discussed included Patrick thinking Tyler Bass wasn't going to finish the season with the team as well as Ray Davis coming close to James Cook's production, while and thought the Bills would win just nine games and not be a top ten team in scoring. They also got plenty right, which leads to a fun conversation and a lot more perspective on a season that culminated by making it to the AFC championship game, which is farther than most people had them going. They also spend a few minutes talking about the Buffalo Sabres, who won their third straight game on Sunday but that doesn't stop Patrick from ripping into them after they failed to take up for star forward Tage Thompson taking a cheap shot to his head. The guys also react to the wild Luka Doncic/Anthony Davis NBA trade, have several thoughts on this weekend's WWE Royal Rumble and tons more. Major props to Talking Buffalo sponsor, Sonny Red's at 1841 Abbott Road in Lackawanna, just minutes from Highmark Stadium. On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran has his biggest Buffalo Bills Week 15 takeaways on the heels of an absolutely wild 48-42 victory on the road over the Detroit Lions that has the Bills feeling really good about being 11-3 going into the final three weeks. Unlike last week in Los Angeles where Buffalo's offense was in desperation mode trying to catch up and in the game late, Buffalo dominated on both sides of the ball early to jump out to a two touchdown lead and never looked back, despite Detroit's resiliency throughout the second half. Patrick starts by giving a lot of credit to head coach Sean McDermott and his coaching staff---it was obvious from the first snap of the game that this team came to Motown prepared to play and ready to fight. The defense showed grit in allowing Buffalo to stake an early two score lead and offensively Joe Brady had the Lions defense in guess mode throughout. As for Josh Allen, Patrick struggles to even put in words how special this 2024 season has turned into for him. You can't find an outlet anywhere at this point that doesn't think Allen isn't the MVP of the league and Patrick takes it one step further, saying he may be the most physically gifted football player at his position in the history of the game. Removing all the stats and accolades away Patrick hammers home how important it is for Bills fans to just sit back and enjoy being able to watch someone like Josh play every Sunday, it's not something to take for granted. Patrick also talks about a Bills defense that obviously struggled but did enough to win and more specifically, Ed Oliver having one of the best games of his entire career a week after being called out all over the place, including this podcast. Also, should Dorian Williams being getting more snaps, even if it comes at the expense of Matt Milano? That plus Tyler Bass pisses us off again, Dawson Knox comes through bit, Kaiir Elam fills in admirably and tons more. Sunday Morning Kicker Podcast - Kicker und Punter in der NFL
Eine kurze Folge über Weihnachtsbäume, Tyler Bass und fehlerhafte Statistiken, die fast den Eichhörnchen Geld gekostet hätten.
On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is joined by Matt Warren of SB Nation for their weekly chat, this time focused on several of the biggest keys for the Buffalo Bills as they hit the stretch run of what's been a successful regular season through this point. The Bills are 9-2 and for all intents and purposes have already wrapped up the AFC east for a fifth straight season. That's well and good but this is a football team that has its sights set higher than just winning their division. The guys go over some of the biggest factors that await them in their quest to get over the hump and win an AFC championship. Some of the topics are quite obviously, especially Josh Allen continuing to play at a MVP level and the team getting some long overdue injury luck deep into the season. But there's other key factors as well, including Ed Oliver and the defensive tackles continue to ascend as the season goes on, Dalton Kincaid putting up the production we expected before the season started in September, the safety play remaining at least steady and not having a game potentially decided by a kick, even if Tyler Bass did drill a franchise-record 61-yarder to beat Miami a few weeks ago. They also spend some time examining the AFC, including a discussion on if they'd prefer Buffalo to face Denver or Miami in the first round. Patrick also has an unpopular opinion about the Kansas City Chiefs and much more. You can follow Matt on Twitter @MattRichWarren and be sure to check out Buffalo Rumblings for your (really good) daily Bills content. ♦♦♦♦♦ Follow Patrick Moran/Talking Buffalo Podcast Substack: Patrick Moran's Substack Twitter: @PatrickMoranTB Blue Sky: @PatrickMoranTB.bsky.social Instagram: @PatrickMoranTB Facebook: Talking Buffalo Podcast Learn more about your ad choices. Today on the Logan Blackman Show we recap Iowa's impressive 42-10 victory against Wisconsin, keeping the Heartland Trophy in Iowa City for yet another year. Within that game we compare how the offense has looked with Brenden Sullivan vs Cade McNamara while also going over Kaleb Johnson's continued dominance, scoring three more touchdowns in the win. With that we discuss who has a real shot at taking home the Heisman Trophy as well as taking part in a quiz where we try and name each of the finalists from the past 20-Heisman Trophy ceremonies (2004-2023). After looking at how both Iowa State and UNI did we switch gears and move over to the NFL where we recap the Bills 30-27 win against the Miami Dolphins, with kicker Tyler Bass drilling a 61-yard field goal for the win. We also take some time to discuss how some of the younger quarterbacks are doing, namely Anthony Richardson and Drake Maye, before finally going over each and every game from this past weekend. Enjoy!

On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is joined by Buffalo Bills beat reporter Matt Parrino to go over their biggest Week Nine takeaways following the Buffalo Bills exciting victory over Miami on Sunday in addition to a conversation about athlete parenting and more. It certainly wasn't easy facing a Dolphins team that knew any slim chance they had of getting back into the AFC east race hinged on them upsetting the Bills in Orchard Park. In the end though, Tyler Bass set a franchise-record with a 61 yard game-winning field goal and the Bills not only improved to 7-2 but put themselves where they'd need a total face plant to not win their fifth consecutive AFC east crown. Matt's as entrenched with covering the team full time and has thoughts on many of Patrick's biggest takeaways from this week, including the wild (wild!) ride Tyler Bass went on, Sean McDermott showing confidence in a spot other coaches probably wouldn't have, Josh Allen staying patience paying off, a tip of the cap to Mack Hollins and focusing on a defense that other than a singular Taron Johnson effort got largely dismantled by the Miami offense. In particular Patrick thought the defensive tackle play led by Ed Oliver was extremely lousy. Does Matt agree? The guys also have a discussion about how protective parents of athletes can be and sometimes go a little overboard. Patrick feels that's the case recently after a social media incident involving him and Damar Hamlin's father. Matt shares his thoughts and the guys talk about relating to the parent in most cases. That and plenty more! Offensively, we saw big plays from Ray Davis and Khalil Shakir, but missed opportunities in the red zone and questionable officiating kept the outcome uncertain until Bass's incredible kick. On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is joined by Joe From Queens not long after the Buffalo Bills dramatically beat the Miami Dolphins, 30-27 on an improbable Tyler Bass 61-yard field goal in the wanning seconds to move 7-2 and end Miami's hopes for a divisional title before Election Day. It's safe to assume the last thing anyone expected Bass to do was win Buffalo the game, especially after missing an extra point and having another one bounce in through the uprights earlier in the game. But Bass not only the game-winning field goal but booted an all-time franchise record 61 yarder to do it. The guys talk this being one of the ultimate single-play redemption stories they can remember, as Patrick calls himself out for lambasting Bass on social media several times throughout the game. The Bills offense started slow but then got things heated up in the second half, scoring on their last four drives on a day they had to because the defense wasn't stopping anything. The guys talk about Josh Allen playing MVP caliber football in the second half without the services of Amari Cooper and having to consistently overcome their own mistakes, something they've done a lot of this season. The win is sweet but it was far from a perfect Sunday afternoon Patrick and Joe talked about a defense that other than one play from Taron Johnson mostly stunk, especially in the middle of the defense where both Ed Oliver and DaQuan Jones were eerily silent. Was it just one of those days or do the Bills have a serious problem in the middle of their defense? That plus some big picture stuff and much more. ♦♦♦♦♦ Follow Patrick Moran/Talking Buffalo Podcast Substack: Patrick Moran's Substack Twitter: @PatrickMoranTB Facebook: Talking Buffalo Podcast Learn more about your ad choices. Buffalo Bills vs. Miami Dolphins: A Podcast Breakdown In this episode of the 'Circle the Wagons' podcast, we discuss the Buffalo Bills' victory over the Miami Dolphins, 30-27, to go 7-2. We talk about Tyler Bass' clutch 61 yard Field Goal to clinch the win (after missing a PAT and doinking another one), Josh Allen making plays when it matters, slow starts in the first half by the offense and defense, officiating (again), Khalil Shakir needing more praise, Jordan Poyer's dirty hit to help the Bills & much more! We discuss our general thoughts on the game, stats of the game, plays of the game (Sweet Sassy Molassy & Gettysburg), who goes on our Wall of Fame and who goes on the Wall of Shame (and turn to Twitter for some great reaction from our followers). On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran offers instant live reactions in the moments following the Buffalo Bills squeezing out a 23-20 road victory over the New York Jets on Monday Night Football. Let's be honest--this was one of the ugliest games you'll see and if you didn't have a horse in the race you probably would've turned the game off long before the final whistle. But at the end of the day the only thing that mattered for Buffalo was getting a win. They did and now have a firm hold on the AFC east six weeks into the season. Before hitting on all the ugly stuff Patrick highlights three players that were critical to the Bills winning this game: Ray Davis, Josh Allen and Taylor Rapp. Raise your hand if you expected to read that before the game. Patrick spends (plenty of) time talking about all the ugly from this game, from the 22 combined accepted penalties to the Bills ridiculous defensive call at the end of the first half that allowed Aaron Rodgers to complete a hail mary. Patrick also brags on hitting all three of his bold predictions before the game, what this win means for Buffalo, has Tyler Bass attempted his last kick for the Bills and much more. ♦♦♦♦♦ Follow Patrick Moran/Talking Buffalo Podcast Substack: Patrick Moran's Substack Twitter: @PatrickMoranTB Facebook: Talking Buffalo Podcast YouTube: Talking Buffalo Podcast YouTube Channel Learn more about your ad choices.
