NOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! Why Must She Be Fridged?!?! Mar-Vell and Yon-Rogg are gonna tussle Una is actually alive! Mar steals a spaceship from the cape to spirit her away. Nope, Una is dead again… out of the refrigerator and into the freezer Yon-Rogg’s ship yeets Mar’s ship faster than light into the cosmos Mar hallucinates as he is lost in space for months He awakens planetside healed and refreshed There is a giant building and a being calling to him… the being is ZO! Captain Marvel demands that ZO prove that he’s as powerful as he claims ZO shows Mar a slideshow of Western History ending in Nuclear Holocaust It then shows Mar-Vell a vision of Mar destroying Kree-Lar There’s tons of awesome Black Light Poster Art Mar is convinced, it’s a good slide-show ZO tells Mar-Vell that Mar has to destroy the Kree Pagan God TAMBOR TAMBOR has magnetic powers, which we all know work by magic If Mar destroys Mag-TAMBOR-no it will destroy Kree-Lar so Mar is stumped Mar-vell is ultimately captured by the followers of Tam-Bor Captain Marvel 16: Behind the Mask of ZO! Captain Marvel is dragged before Tam-Bor Tam-bor brings the destructive magnetism which Mar overcomes with Jet-Belt Action Mar-Vel discovers that Tam-Bor isn’t a God but is a giant Kirby-esq machine! Mar-Vel defeats Tam-Bor with his Olympic Leaping Skills Ronan the Accuser teleports in and blasts Mar-Vel Ronan is finally shown as a Blue Kree (signaling that he tastes like Raspberry) Ronan thrashes Captain Marvel with his Universal Weapon but Mar activates his helmets self-destruct and lobs it like a grenade at Tam-Bor, destroying it. Ronan is about to execute Mar when the Supreme Intelligence intercedes with its Super Sentry Mar-Vel is teleported to the Hall of Judgement by the Super Sentry Turns out, Mar isn’t the one on trial, Zarek the Imperial Minister is. Mar knows him by another name though, ZO! Zarek, Ronan, and Yon-Rogg were conspiring together because of Racism… Yep, they were tired of the Supreme Intelligences dumb liberal policies of a peaceful pluralistic society and wanted to make Kree-Lar great again! Zarek and Ronan attempt to escape but the Supreme Intelligence captures them In reward for all he’s been through, the Supreme Intelligence gives Mar the Nega-Bands and a new costume. Mar-Vell tries to teleport to Earth but something goes wrong and he ends up in THE NEGATIVE ZONE! I've been thinking about the latest trailer, and it occurred to me that if one of the themes of Infinity War was “we don't trade lives” (except for maybe Wanda and Vision), then is it possible, and maybe even a little worrisome, that End Game's “Whatever It Takes” mantra could result in one of the Avengers being put in a position where he or she will be forced to take the life of another hero in order to win the day and accomplish their goal? What if one of our beloved Avengers end up dying, not at the hands of Thanos, but rather at the hands of a friend who is forced to make an impossible choice? Can you determine whether Carol actually regained her memories of her past at some point or will it be a process for her? She was clearly upset and shaken after listening to the cockpit voice recording of her crash, but I can't tell if it was because she actually remembered what happened or because she was finally able to hear the entire scene of the accident play out and learned about Yon Rogg's betrayal. Also, what exactly made her lose her memory in the first place? Was it the crash itself, the explosion and resulting energy blast, or did the Kree do something to her mind to block out her past? It seems like somone should have noticed that the Tesseract was missing from the facility. But we don't see any evidence in the film that before the crash anyone even noticed it was gone. Carol Danvers makes her live action debut as Captain Marvel next month. To prepare, Kriss and Dpalm are tackling the mantle of Captain Marvel. Calling herself Ms. Marvel, she established herself as one of the most powerful and prominent heroes, both as a solo heroine and as a member of the Avengers. She has now adopted the mantle of Captain Marvel for herself. In the 1960's, Carol Danvers made her comic book debut as a beautiful and highly capable young woman who had managed to overcome gender-typing and excel in challenging military occupations normally dominated by men. She was already an ace fighter pilot, a former officer in the U.S. Air Force, and a former CIA agent when she was hired as the head of security of NASA headquarters at Cape Canaveral. One of Carol's co-workers at NASA was a Dr. Phillip Lawson, who was secretly the alien Kree super-agent named Mar-Vell. When a dormant Kree Sentry robot that NASA had been studying activated and went berserk, Mar-Vell defeated the rampaging robot and saved Carol's life in the process, with the press dubbing the mysterious new superhero " Captain Marvel." Carol became drawn to Mar-Vell and a romance developed between the two. A Kree enemy of Mar-Vell's named Yon-Rogg soon learned of the relationship and kidnapped Carol as bait to lure Mar-Vell into a trap. When Mar-Vell came to the rescue, Yon-Rogg deployed forbidden Kree technology called the Psyche-Magnitron in an attempt to destroy his enemy. During the battle the Psyche-Magnitron, which had the power to turn thoughts into reality, exploded and Captain Marvel shielded Carol from its radiation with his own body, causing Carol to absorb much of his own genetic template. Carol's wish to stand with Mar-Vell as an equal rather than a helpless victim completed the process, and her DNA became a perfect synthesis of Kree and human genes. After Carol recovered from the explosion, she had gained superhuman powers much like those of Captain Marvel and her alter-ego even wore a costume patterned after that of the Kree hero.
