We briefly touched on what happened during the first two books a couple weeks ago, but with this storyline taking up half the year – we'll be looking at the story in-depth as our spotlight story this week.  After the guardian Devil storyline ended in June 1999, we didn't get another book in the main Daredevil title until December. When we get the start of another multi-book storyline called Parts of a Hole with a new writer in David Mack. Avengers Forever is over and we're back to more Busiek and Perez goodness!  The mystery of Wonder Man is finally settled, and if you're dealing with Wonder Man, you're likely also dealing with his brother....the Grim Reaper!  Plus count how many of the dead Avengers in this issue are still dead in 2024!  Its not that many.

This is it....Avengers Forever ends here, with more alternate universe Avengers than you can shake a Quinjet at!  See the death of Immortus!  See the rebirth of Immortus!  See the Supreme Intelligence get a pretty jewel!  Everything gets wrapped up with huge fight scenes that Carlos Pacheco poured his heart and soul into!

We're back with more from the 1999 Avengers Forever series!  We have an issue that focuses on (and does some retconning to) Kang's history and then the plot kicks back in as we prepare for the grand finale in the next episode!

The Avengers get captured, escape and are captured again when one of their own turns against them!  In between all that we get a LOT of retconning of plotlines going back decades, but especially plots from the 90s.  Strap in, because this is a big one!

We continue to follow our Avengers away teams through the far future and not quite as distant past as they deal with pregnant robots, hostile aliens, wild west heroes and an alien Richard Nixon!  Listen along to see how these forays into the time stream resolve themselves!

We continue our look at Avengers Forever as our team of time tossed Avengers start going through time and find more teams of Avengers throughout different eras in history (and in the future)!  We ask how a robot that had hair can now be bald, and also pregnant?  Listen along and maybe you can answer this for us!

We're breaking into the main Avengers title to discuss a 12 issue mini-series from 1999 where Kurt Busiek rewrites Avengers history and also throws in a huge time travel plot to boot!  We meet our....slightly different Avengers team in these issues, plucked from multiple points in Avengers history, as well as our villain and a former villain who becomes an ally (I'm sorry, three former villains that becomes allies)!

Yes, THE Roger Stern! It took months of work to get this storytelling master to sit down for an interview, and we hope you agree that it was worth it. We dug into as much of his career as we could, starting with the fanzine CPL with Bob Layton, moving through the Charlton Bullseye, and on to his big break as editor and then writer at Marvel. And that's only the first 10 minutes! Of course, we had to get to Captain America, Incredible Hulk, Avengers (original and West Coast varieties), and the Amazing Spider-Man, including co-creating Hobgoblin with JRJR. Next we take another swing through the Triangle Era of Superman, including Death of Superman and Reign of the Supermen.
