After multiple pregnancy losses Jackie and her husband worked with an adoption consultant agency before meeting with a Reproductive immunologist. Her RE discovered that she had an autoimmune disorder known as Antiphospholipid Syndrome (APS) which was causing her recurrent pregnancy losses. After treatment for APS, Jackie became pregnant with her daughter. She was diagnosed with Vasa previa at 20 weeks which led to an early delivery through a planned C-Section and a NICU stay for her daughter.
