IF By Rudyard KiplingIf you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you, If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, But make allowance for their doubting too; If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,Or being hated, don’t give way to hating, And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise:If you can dream—and not make dreams your master; If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim; If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster And treat those two impostors just the same; If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken, And stoop and build ’em up with worn-out tools:If you can make one heap of all your winnings And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,And lose, and start again at your beginnings And never breathe a word about your loss;If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew To serve your turn long after they are gone, And so hold on when there is nothing in you Except the Will which says to them: ‘Hold on!’If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, Or walk with Kings—nor lose the common touch,If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you, If all men count with you, but none too much;If you can fill the unforgiving minute With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run, Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it, And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!#RudyardKipling#family#wordsofencouragement#mysons#inspiringpoems#wordstoliveby#imagineif

Disconnect from fear.During this chaotic time, we are increasing our good vibes content with more podcasts and videos....it is our little way to add more good vibes to your newsfeed. Be responsible and not allow yourself to become consumed by fear after watching countless hours of news or scrolling on social media. If you are feeling anxious or overwhelmed, consider disconnecting from social media and turning off the news for a little while. It is important to be proactive in monitoring the content you consume.Do not drown yourself or family in fear. Be proactive and do your part to prepare, be informed, but let go of the obsessive fear attachment.Breathe.Lots of Love

Grief, healing, and blessings seem to roll in and out like waves in the ocean. When we lose a loved one when they pass away, the pain can come like waves in the ocean. There are also blessings that sometimes emerge out of nowhere. Take a listen to this story about a woman in Arkansas who lost her father and continued to text his cell phone for 4 years after he passed away. Then one day she received a reply...Wishing you healing as you take baby steps towards fully living life again.Sending you much love, and I hope this message brings a little smile to your heart. You can read the full article https://www.fox13news.com/news/arkansas-woman-texted-fathers-number-every-day-after-he-died-she-got-a-response-four-years-later?fbclid=IwAR3KO339oeOq0QGYDThSk6nooy-heRYu9g_9jLbnzLZqDZwc6JpuOk0o_rQ#kudosmagazine #inspiringstories #dealingwithgrief #deathanddying #babystepsback #helpingothers #whatwedontknow #elizabethmarasco
Did life kick you down or throw you into a storm? That happens to many of us at some point in life. There will be struggles like seeing a loved one become sick and pass away, or dealing with the end of a marriage or job or home or....fill in the blank. Life has storms. Learning how to overcome the storm and start to jump back in. When you were in the middle of the storm you had to show up, are ou recline into the pain? It's time to change that and grow from the lessons you experienced and if possible take that wisdom and share it with other people. You were not the first one down that road of struggle and you will not be the last. But the question is what are you going to do with it? It's time to jump back into living life and lean into faith instead of leaning into fear, guilt, anxiety, anger, depression or regret. Let the past go and move into creating something new with all of these experiences.#kudosmagazine #grief #healing #personalgrowth #elizabethmarasco #caregiving #selflove #babystepstoliving
We seek healing in different formats, each of us is different in the way we survive each day and heal from our past. Kayne West released his new album Jesus is King. I found it to be filled with inspiration in so many ways for every day living and navigating storms. There are many layers to the music, a one time listen won't be enough. If you are on a path to healing, this may be a great journey for you. No surprise Kayne West created another masterpiece mixing up genres and moving people with poetic truth. Some of my favorites Follow God and Water ohhh wait and also Closed on Sunday. This will be on repeat for a while. Healing and growing come in different packages. I hope this helps you in finding peace, happiness, and joy in your life. Today we are fortunate to have access to information at our fingertips. It can also make us vulnerable to false information and even myths. There has been a proactive effort from social media to clean up the problem, but part of it comes from our individual's responsibility to fact check information. And when you get something wrong, fix it, don't get spreading it. Each day we learn and grow, make sure you are fueling yourself with the right information. And before you ever take any medical advice from anyone, always consult with your doctor. Wishing you happiness, good health, and the facts. #kudostothat #justthefactsplease

Hurley Foundation has unveiled the new Dr. R. Roderic Abbott Medical Education Center. The center provides technology-enhanced rooms for training and conferences within the hospital, enhancing our vision to be “leaders in transforming health through academic and clinical excellence, expanding access to innovative care.” Comprised of 7 different rooms, the renovation was made possible through generous donations from both current and retired medical professionals in our community who see the value in continuing education. All rooms have been sponsored, however, other sponsorship opportunities are available. Dr. R. Roderic Abbott was known as a selfless oncologist who believed every patient had the right to the best care possible, regardless of their ability to pay. He never took a salary from the hospital and donated any patient payments back to Hurley. Fundraising Committee Chair Dr. Jitendra P. Katneni says, “Dr. Abbott respected everybody. We learned a lot of things from him, not just medicine, but how to be as a person.” Dr. Margaret Setter-Abbott, wife of the late Dr. Abbott, followed that sentiment saying, “He truly was selfless in what he did. Everyone was his friend and that meant so much to him.” Hurley Foundation is proud to continue Dr. R. Roderic Abbott’s legacy of compassion and giving. We welcome donations to the medical education center and will continue to honor donors at a permanent display at the entrance to the center. Donations can be made at www.hurleyfoundation.org/donate
