Our friend, Niki Toscani, joined us on the show and we did a deep dive, discussing the many collaborations that both she and her co-founder (and husband) have participated in, including their about-to-launch collaboration and turning lemonade into a refreshing and unique mix! I know I was excited to hear about it, and even more excited to taste it once it launches!!! But you don't have to wait to bite into some of their delicious and crisp pickles--you can either pick up a batch at your local store, or have them shipped to your door (nationwide!)!!! If you want to hear more about it, and what Niki and Mike are doing in the very near future (including a sneak teaser for Philly Magazine's Best Of Event)...tune in till the end and find out!Speaking of collaborating for the benefit of everyone...my next guest is the Market Manager for Rancocas Woods Farmers Market (RWFM) which happens every Sunday running until Oct 13th. Allison Coulter, who goes by Allie, is well versed in farming and the farmers market culture and was happy when she saw her childhood stomping grounds begin a revitalization process. So it made perfect sense for Allie to take on the Management role for the Rancocas Woods Farmers Market. Today, Allie selects farmers and vendors to cultivate a market that offers a one-stop shopping trip for your weekly needs. If you'd like to hear more about the RWFM, events they hold, and what you'll find when you visit--keep listening to find out, and feel free to share with your friends so they can join in on the fun too!Lastly, I chimed in to boast about some of the places I've dined out at--all of which I recommend for you to visit (and enjoy) and try for yourselves! So if you're interested in some of my recommendations, then be sure to stay to the very end of the episode and hear from your favorite Food Farms and Chefs host's traveling foodie adventures!!!

It's expected to intensify further while heading into the eastern Gulf of Mexico and could potentially reach category three hurricane status before landfall on Wednesday. The Florida Gulf Coast should closely monitor the storm's trajectory. Uncertainty surrounds its exact path, with many models pointing to the Florida Big Bend region. Georgia might experience rain from the storm, primarily on Wednesday and possibly Thursday morning. Rainfall extent depends on Idalia's track. All those bad bad people from those areas are leaking into our once proud county and lowering its value and raising its crime rate” Shane Brady “ We have a community strangled with traffic and endless new neighborhoods with roads that can't handle them yet our commissioners approve every dr Horton plans. Here's why: The Georgia State Board of Education has approved a measure allowing local school systems to decrease the weight of the Georgia Milestones End-of-Course tests from 20% to 10% of a student's final grade. The Georgia Milestones tests assess proficiency in core subjects like English/language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. During the pandemic, the weight of these tests was temporarily lowered to 0.01% due to the shift from in-person to online instruction. After Beth had her kids, she tried to go back to work in the corporate world. She realized that to be happy, she needed to be creative and paint, so she quit her job and sacrificed a little, so she could do what she loves. Beth’s passion for painting reached a whole new level when she decided to do some face painting at a local festival. She was testing the waters and really just wanted to make her money back, but she ended up having so many people lined up to have their faces painted, that her husband had to start taking reservations. Beth talks about how face painting has become a huge competition around the world. There are tons of great tutorials on how to get started and she talks about how important it is to have professional grade paints. Most of Beth’s business comes from word of mouth and social media. She does a lot of corporate events and employee parties that are booked in advance. When she isn’t face painting, she does pet portraits and mini murals. Beth talks about building her business in layers. Meaning, she chose the thing she could start the quickest and cheapest (so she could just start making some money) and then she added on more and more services from there. I met The Silver Nightingale through Sree's NYT Readalong and I am looking forward to our conversation today... The story of how I got my name is part of the larger story of the development of my solo flute act. When I lived in Syracuse, I played in lots of eclectic rock/blues bands (Laura and the Legwarmers, Friends, Felicidad, and No Sense of Humor were some of the more interesting names), folk/rock duos, and also started to play solo for yoga classes, spiritual retreats, food coops, anti-nuclear rallies and such. I really enjoyed the freedom and creativity playing solo allowed me, as well as the meditative qualities of the music. During this period, I started composing solo flute pieces, as well as music for my bands. Listeners liked what I was doing, and many people told me they found my solo music peaceful and healing. Receiving a great response to my new solo work, I decided to focus on doing a solo act in the fairly unusual configuration of solo flute, and with the help of local guitar legend and producer Mark Doyle, made a demo tapeShortly thereafter, at the end of 1986, I left Syracuse for New Orleans, feeling it would be fertile ground for a full-time music career. While there, ex-Laura and the Legwarmers bandmate Diana Trifoso (also a jewelry designer and face-painter) came to town, and we spent an afternoon sitting on the floor of my David St. apartment brainstorming.I wanted to create an image suggesting elegance, opulence, upscale dining, and light, airy, fluid qualities. I wanted silver in the name to suggest the silver flute, the silver used with fine china, silver coins, silver jewelry (I have always preferred silver jewelry to gold). I also wanted to conjure the melodic, "singing" qualities of the flute. We sat on the floor and made a list of 58 names - Some of the also-rans were Silver Sonata, Liquid Silver and Silver Dreams.
