Shannan Gilbert was a sex worker in the NYC area in 2010. Used as a means of getting ahead financially, Shannan's playground was backpage. She could work for herself and only have to pay a driver and not a pimp, but was this her downfall? Tune in while we discuss how Shannan's misfortune happened that may night. After getting a call to a john's house an hour away, it wasn't long before she was making a 23 minutes 9-1-1 call screaming, "They're trying to kill me!" then essentially running off into the wilderness of Oak Beach. Would Shannan's killer have been caught if Suffolk county police had only taken her boyfriend seriously the day after the incident? Is Shannan an actual victim of LISK...or is this just a wild coincidence? How's bubbles living? She aint.  . Known as the Visalia ransacker, Original Night Stalker, East Area Rapist, and most notably the Golden State Killer, he really was a prime example of escalation in terms of going from being just a regular asshole to being a giant GAPING asshole. Assaulting over 50 women and murdering 13, Joseph evaded capture for over 3 decades.  . So how did a mediocre garbage monster get away with something of this magnitude for this long? Science hadn't reached it's evolved form yet. It was merely a Magicarp in a Gyarados ridden world, you know what I'm sayin? But don't worry. With millions of humans sending in their DNA to stake claim to their countries of old, we as a society have a large and in charge familial DNA database now. With one swab of a cheek, a fake DNA profile, and the grey areas of the FBI, Joseph DeAngelo was arrested at the ripe old age of 72. This week the homies really stream line this bad boy! Amanda takes us back in time to 1935 where things at the President Hotel were what one could only describe as a LARGE OOF of a time. After saying a big, "Heck you!" to a neighboring hotel, "Roland T. Owen" (a man so great he needed 3 names) went to stay in this downtown hotel. Roland woke up and chose chaos daily, and man did he make sure everyone freaking knew it. Was it his love for sitting in dark rooms or his love for being locked in said dark rooms/sex workers/random bloody late night encounters that made him the mysterious man/boy that he was? Guess you're gonna have to listen to find out!  . In classic Samantha June fashion, she yet again proves that Randy can GET BENT because she isn't pigeon holed, and that's the mother effin' Natty! Sam details the absolutely baffling/frustrating/infuriating story that was the 1980's McMartin Preschool trials, where an entire staff of a preschool was accused of having enough time to summon demons, take WILD field trips, and even sacrifice animals...all before snack time!
