Lesser know British gangster action drama A Hitman in London, also known as Skin Traffik (2015) has Mickey Rourke as mysterious Vogel, a small role but compelling.Stuntman, producer and actor Gary Daniels, is the skilled above average fighting lead alongside all star brilliant B-cast Jeff Fahey, Michael Madsen, Daryl Hannah, Eric Roberts, Alan Ford of SNATCH (2000) and underrated Dominique Swain. Not the best but rough around the edges action with an emotional story makes this one work, just. Enjoy my rundown with a focus on Mickey and his paisley collared shirt, I'd wear it.

F.T.W (1994) also known as The Last Ride. Rundown of fairly unknown, quite interesting cowboy drama with Mickey Rourke as rodeo maestro Frank T. Wells trying to live a normal life after a stint in jail for a crime he did not commit. Frank also falls in love with an unlikely, unhinged individual played by Footloose, Short Cuts talent, Lori Singer. Iconic, Brion James also stars, as does Peter Berg, and an array of musicians including Charlie Sexton. 

Rundown of Mississippi filmed Hunt Club, better than average revenge thriller indie, terrific acting and a solid role for Mickey Rourke as villain Virgil.He's part of a secret pact of men who meet on a regular basis to hunt humans. Main premise is familiar, but this has a message and is particularly well directed by Elizabeth Blake-Thomas, who you will hear a bit from during podcast. True story of the kidnapping of Irish champion racehorse, Shergar.Filmed in 1998, barely released in 1999, Mickey Rourke reprises his Celtic accent from A Prayer for the Dying (1987)He is somewhat impressive a small prominent role as Gavin O'Rourke, a vindictive member of the Irish republican army overseeing this botched horse kidnapping for a ransom they'll never see.Ian Holm, David Warner are great, also Andrew Connolly, Tom Walsh and wonderful Laura Murphy (reminding me of Maureen O'Sullivan) co-star.

Mickey was given a significant, small role by late great Tony Scott action melodrama Man on Fire (2004) also starring Christopher Walken, Dakota Fanning, my fellow Australian Radha Mitchell and the man Denzel Washington among others. Excellent movie has stood the test of time. I also discuss the deleted Mickey scenes featured on Blu Ray;(Courtesy of 20th century fox home video) also hear comments on Mickey by director Tony Scott, who also hired Mickey to be in his later film, Domino (2019)

Two movies that Mickey Rourke knows the subject of so well, amateur boxing and inside the boxing fraternity. HOMEBOY (1988) and true story, TIGER (2018) Both excellent films thirty years apart, you certainly don't have to like boxing to enjoy my rundown.

2019 multi character interconnected romantic tale set in and around Berlin has Mickey Rourke as Jim;in a story arc concerning a chance meeting with glamourous Heather in a hotel bar, their connection is immediate but something mysterious is about to be revealed. Berlin, I Love You has an array of fabulous actors appearing in small selective roles.Barely released I had never seen it until now. 

A pair of equally unknown films from the Mickey oeuvre that I share details about;Masked and Anonymous (2003) has an all star cast and an appearance by Mickey Rourke that fares quite well, in particular sharing the screen with a smiling Bob Dylan.Cast includes, Jeff Bridges, Penelope Cruz, Joh Goodman, Christian Slater, Bruce Dern, Jessica Lange and more.The Legion (2019) additionally known as (Legionnaire's Trail) is based on a true story but is it a Roman soldier adventure worth watching?having now seen it twice, you be the judge after you listen to me discussing details including Mickey Rourke sporting fresh nails;also an eye patch remarkably similar to his Warhunt (2022) costume accessory. 

Better than it should be, 2022 film Warhunt, genre combination of military action with pagan seduction and a touch of paranormal activity, it's good! Gruff, direct Mickey Rourke is eye patch wearing Major Johnson; after popping in and out, he sweeps into the finale for a solid blast.Spoiler free discussion hopefully you will seek it out to watch. Robert Knepper, Jackson Rathbone co-star. 

Absolute box office flop 1941, directed by Steven Spielberg has a youthful Mickey Rourke appearing. I discuss the movie around Mickey and his character Reese. The 146 minute Director's Cut is what this discussion is based on. Still a turkey. 

Bullet, a 1996 crime drama with icon Tupac Shakur alongside Mickey Rourke (who also co-wrote screenplay) Adrien Brody, Ted Levine and cameo by Peter Dinklage.A flop when first released, it found an audience now an underrated Mickey classic.  

Two movies featuring Mickey Rourke, one is a cameo whilst one is an extended cameo, but there's still a lot to talk about, They Live (2001) is a little known creepy crawly detective thriller. Section 8 (2022) happens to be a better than expected action drama with an impressive ensemble including Dolph Lundgren, Scott Adkins, Ryan Kwanten and the remarkable Kimi Alexander. 

Rundown of two Mickey Rourke movies of different eras. Exit in Red (1996) indie noir thriller mystery slice of shady dealings with Annabel Schofield,  Carrie Otis, Anthony Michael Hall.Also, true story, Man of God (2011) following the life of Saint Nektarios. Mickey has a small ultra significant role in Man of God, a miracle moment not to be missed.

Fairly unknown, barely released, Eureka (1983) is a high concept epic adventure and descent into greed, madness, revenge and love starring Mickey Rourke in an early small role, alongside Gene Hackman, Rutger Hauer, Ed Lauter, Joe Pesci, Theresa Russell.  A prospector finds gold changing his life, outlook and family stability; Directed by Nicolas Roeg.
