My seventh year in the classroom came to an end at Sam Houston High School this year. I have heard people say that the grass is greener on the other side; I realized that that isn't true. Sam Houston was cool and interactions with some student reminded of how dope of an educator I am and also how good I have it at Waltrip! In the seventh year of my career, I say that understanding that all my creative ventures have a 50/50 chance of coming to reality; I had my second child, the class of 2025 won district in basketball, I had 16 students get mastery on the Math STAAR exam and I realized that maybe I am a career educator! I learned Loyalty this year, I learned structure, I learned repetition! Aside from being a Husband, Father, educator and coach; I want to get back in shape and thanks to the Golden State Warriors I will back in front of the lens soon! August 23, 2021 was the start of my seventh year teaching in the public high school setting! It was the start of Virgo Season and the Birthday of an icon in American Sports' History. I thought a sure way of making money was providing a service! At least that'ss what I heard Michael Aigbedion say one time! That's not to say that making money is everything and I'd be lying if I said that making money wasn't a goal; but I'm 36 and if not now when! We never mentioned our father and mother when we were shouting out people in this episode. Without them I would be nothing. I wasn't always the biggest family person. I at times felt trapped around my own blood. I couldn't wait to get out of my father crib to be on my own, think for myself and just be free to live how I wanted. The second I left Fonmeadow I never wanted to return, till I had no other option. It took watching my baby sister and brother excel in basketball to see how much I had missed by being the child who stared out of the window while my family enjoyed each other.
