„Bdejte a modlite sa, aby ste neprišli do pokušenia; duch je síce hotový, ale telo slabé.“ Evanjelium podľa Marka 14:38 Už sa ti niekedy stalo, že ťa pristihli pri niečom, čo si nemal robiť? Jedného dňa som našiel svojho syna, ako hrá hru na počítači, čo mu nebolo dovolené, kým nedokončí domáce úlohy. S  výrazom výčitky na tvári sa na mňa pozrel a povedal: „Nemohol som odolať.“ To je správny pohľad na pokušenie. Keď podľahneme pokušeniu, radi obviňujeme druhých. Spomeňte si, ako bol Adam pristihnutý pri čine v raji. Pán sa spýtal: „Nejedol si zo stromu, z ktorého som ti zakázal jesť?“ A Adam odpovedal: „Žena, ktorú si mi dal, aby bola pri mne, dala mi zo stromu; i jedol som.“ (pozri 1M 3:8 – 12) A potom je tu Áron, ktorý ponúkol klasický príklad zlej výhovorky za to, že podľahol pokušeniu. Keď Mojžiš vystúpil na horu, aby prijal Božie prikázania, zveril ľud svojmu bratovi Áronovi. Keď sa Mojžiš vrátil, videl ľudí, ako tancujú nahí okolo zlatého teľaťa. Áron to vysvetlil takto: „Proste sme hodili zlato do ohňa a vyšlo z toho toto teľa.“ Pravda bola taká, že Áron povedal ľuďom, aby priniesli svoje zlaté šperky. Z nich vyrobil teľa. A potom ich povzbudil, aby ho uctievali (pozri 2M 32:22 – 24). List Jakuba 1:14 nenecháva veľa priestoru na zlé výhovorky. „Ale každý je pokúšaný tým, že ho vlastná žiadosť zachvacuje a zvádza.“ Každý človek zohráva kľúčovú úlohu v okamihu, keď podľahne pokušeniu. Diabol ťa môže pokúšať. Niekto sa ťa môže pokúsiť nachytať. Ale nepodarí sa im to, pokiaľ tomu nepodľahneš. Biblia jasne hovorí, že žiadne pokušenie nie je neodolateľné. „Pokušenie, ktoré vás zachvátilo, je len ľudské, ale Boh je verný, On nedopustí pokúšať vás nad možnosť, ale s pokušením spôsobí aj vyslobodenie, aby ste ho mohli zniesť.  Keď budeš pokúšaný, ukáže ti východisko, aby si to dokázal vydržať“ (1K 10:13). „Poddajte sa teda Bohu, ale vzoprite sa diablovi – a utečie od vás.“ (Jk 4:7) Napriek týmto uisteniam je prekvapivo ľahké podľahnúť pokušeniu. Ale to ti asi netreba hovoriť. Možno je v tvojom živote hriech, ktorý ťa dohnal. Možno uvažuješ nad tým, že sa zapletieš do hriešneho vzťahu. Možno ťa kvôli tvojmu hriechu premáha pocit viny. Ak áno, je tu niečo, čo by si mal vedieť: Boh dáva druhú šancu. Prvý list Jána 1:9 hovorí: „Ak vyznávame svoje hriechy, On je verný a spravodlivý, aby nám odpustil hriechy a očistil nás od všetkej neprávosti.“ A Dávid, ktorý vedel niečo o podliehaní pokušeniu a hľadaní Božieho odpustenia, napísal: „Nenakladá s nami podľa našich hriechov a neodpláca nám podľa našich vín. Veď ako nebo vysoko je nad zemou, tak mocná je Jeho milosť nad tými, čo sa Ho boja. Ako ďaleko je východ od západu, tak vzďaľuje od nás naše prestúpenia. Ako sa zmilováva otec nad synmi, tak sa Hospodin zmilováva nad tými, čo sa Ho boja. Veď On vie, ako sme utvorení, a v pamäti má, že sme prach.“ (Ž 103:10 – 14) Otázka na zamyslenie: Aká je tvoja najúčinnejšia stratégia ako sa vyhnúť pokušeniu alebo mu odolať? Greg Laurie

Dolgoživost je beseda, je stanje, o katerem v zadnjih letih vedno pogosteje govorimo. Ampak, a smo se kdaj sploh vprašali, kaj sploh je dolgoživost in kako jo doseči. Beseda ne nujno pomeni, da živimo več let, ampak predvsem, kako živimo ta leta. Pri ljudeh zdravo, vitalno, kakovostno staranje ni le posledica sreče ali genetike, temveč je tudi način življenja.
