Jesus did not die the death that he died so that we would have a comfortable life. He did not die on a cross so that we could spend our lives on ourselves. He did not die with the weight of our sin on His shoulders so that we could play games while a world around us dies and goes to hell. He died so that we could be forgiven, to be made whole, to be made alive, to be brought into relationship with God, and to be empowered by the Holy Spirit to be witnesses in the world to the hope we have found in Jesus. God has called us to so much more than our little kingdom, called “life.” He's called us to a new Kingdom. It's a Kingdom where the king is Jesus, not us. It's a Kingdom that is about grace that was bought with Jesus' blood. It's a Kingdom that's about the love of a Savior for the world! As followers of Jesus, we are a part of this Kingdom and we are to be about inviting others into this Kingdom as well. Support the show (https://tithe.ly/give_new/www/#/tithely/give-one-time/92323)

What started out as an amusing story of a would-be thief whose plans were thwarted by a couple of prayerful nuns, turned into a mini conversation about the power and importance of prayer. Then back to the “Key Verse du Jour” as Pastor Nathaniel addresses a “beautiful, messy portion of scripture.” Paul leaves his beloved friends behind knowing he is advancing toward impending doom. How can he bear it? Why doesn’t he stay with his friends? It’s a shoulder-shrugger!
Springboarding off a news story where a man gets into a fist fight because his buddy "ate all the shrimp," Pastor Chad Johnson of Fellowship Bible Church leads a thought-provoking discussion about being faithful and content in whatever ministry God has placed us. You could be a mom who points her children to Christ, a pastor of a church, or anything in between. Plus, how does Jesus brings calm during storms? All of this with the central theme of how we need to be thinking, “What does God have for me to do right here, and right now?”
