At the age of 23, Amy Molloy found herself widowed just three weeks after her wedding day. For me, the mere thought of being married at such a young age is difficult to fathom, let alone facing the profound grief that accompanied her devastating loss. Amy persevered and found solace in her process of coping, which eventually became the foundation of her candid memoir, 'Wife Interrupted.' A book which not only garnered her validation and praise but also invited its share of criticism. More importantly, it marked the beginning of her profound relationship with writing and the healing power of storytelling. Today, Amy is celebrated as an award-winning journalist, editor, author, and podcast writer. She crafts uplifting content for some of the most prominent names in global publishing, drawing from her personal and professional experiences. Amy seamlessly integrates these experiences to inspire and coach others, guiding them to put their stories down on paper. Her philosophy revolves around writing from wounds and editing from scars, a mantra that resonates deeply with me, especially given my own encounters with storytelling through conversations on this very show. In our conversation, we delve into Amy's journey, exploring the lessons she learned, the growth she experienced, and the silver linings she discovered during turbulent times. She is AH-MAZING! We all know vegetables are good for us, but let's be real: sometimes we just don't feel like eating them. Today I'm sharing: 1. Why being intentional about eating veggies is honoring to God and being a good steward of your body 2. How I make my veggies taste like dessert! 3. Why I don't sweat if I don't eat veggies for a few days 4. A little teaching on what Gentle Nutrition is and how we can apply this mindset to consuming produce 5. My fav ways to get more veggies in, easily and tastily (is that even a word?!) Connect with Nyla: IG Website Her Holy Hustle Christian Business Podcast
OK, I know: Chia pudding sounds like something your hippy aunt made in the 70s. But trust me, it's really flipping good. I admit I discovered chia pudding when I was on the ketogenic diet a few years ago and needed something to fill the dessert void. But chia pudding also makes an awesome breakfast, tastes kind of like rice pudding (and if you're not into that texture, I've got a fix for you), provides heaps of fiber, protein, and omega-3 fatty acids, and keeps you pleasantly full for a few hours. PLUS, did I mention you really just have to stir some stuff together in the same jar that you store it in and eat it out of? I share the formula and lots of possible variations in this episode. On this week's episode of Womens EmpowHerment Junkie, I have the beautiful Vanessa Simpkins, CEO & Founder of Take Your Power Back Now. Her work has been featured on FOX, ABC, CBS and NBC television. And she is passionate about teaching women how to overcome fear and thrive so they can have a choice in relationships and leave lousy jobs and relationships without being held back by fear or money. Are you able to look at parts of yourself and heal? Its a scary thought, but Vanessa teaches us that we can share our stories we never wanted to to tell in order to do just that...heal and dismantling the story you were told. I have learned over the years of healing along with Vanessa that we need to lead with love and love in the unknown and to radically look on the inside of Self-Love. We are far from perfect so we need to share our imperfect underbellys! Our conversation about being who we are and fuck everyone who has an opinion about what we should do or not do. Lets embrace US, our true selves. Take that sexy photo and post the damn thing! If it makes you feel good, then do it. There will always be criticism from someone but that is where you thank them and say I'm sorry you feel that way about yourself. She definately explains this in better terms as she tells the story of a post she did and her mother commented on her eyebrows...LOL She claimed herself and we should too. Let's meet ourselves and say Fuck ya or Hell No. Your allowed! We don't need to have someone in our lives to make us happy, we can not control other peoples feelings or behavior about us. We are responsible for our own feelings and we cant give our power away to someone else feel complete and fulfill us, that is not their job, it is our responsibility for ourselves. Ladies, Men, listen, this podcast is so empowering I just want you to tune in and listen. Vanessa can be reached at www.takeyourpowerback.com "Claim yourself, Unleash & Embody your Divine Feminine and trust the magic of New Beginnings Check out her website if you want her Spotify playlist, I downloaded it and its AH-Mazing!

This episode was an IG Live interview that I did with my good friend and AH-MAZING coach, Michelle Kim @thecosmicmentor.Michelle always knew that she noticed and experienced things differently from others, but she kept it hidden as she grew up in a strict S. (Note: my voice and laughter is pretty loud compared to Michelle's - I was a lot closer to my microphone! Don't say I didn't warn you!)

This month I was chatting with Nicole Mattice from B Fulfilled Life Coaching. Nicole is so inspiring and brave and shared her story of her journey to wellness... all of the Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Nicole is an award winning Certified Master Life Coach Practitioner and the proud owner of B Fulfilled Life Coaching! This is what she told me (and only part of her awesomeness)... I have stood exactly where you may be standing right now… Lost in the darkness, unable to find my worth - my mind screaming at me that I was “NOT ENOUGH.” I was a prisoner, shackled in self hatred and debilitating depression to the point I wanted to end my own life. Not doing so was the best decision I ever made... Because I get to stand here today and guide you to feeling self love, compassion, and worth. To flood your heart with purpose and be your compass to the realization that you ARE enough. My dream is that I can use all that I have learned, all my tools and all my love to serve other women to live in the same light and feel the same way about themselves as I do now about myself. That being said, I am so excited to join you on this journey and stand by your side! Today is Father's Day and it's a time to celebrate! All too often we hear all the talk about how dads don't get the same level of celebration that Moms get on Mother's Day. We hear the jokes about the wack gifts or them having to grill on their day.
