In today's episode of the Ultimate Intimacy Podcast, we're diving deep into a topic that many couples struggle with but rarely talk about openly—the difference between awakening and harnessing sexual desire. For most men, sexual desire is always "on." They're ready to go at any moment and often can't understand why their wives don't feel the same way. On the flip side, many women often need to awaken their sexual desire, which can feel like a chore when life is already so overwhelming. It's not about a lack of love or attraction—it's simply a different sexual wiring. We'll talk about why these differences exist, how they affect intimacy, and why understanding this can be a game-changer in your marriage. Plus, we'll discuss the common dynamic where wives often hold the power over “if” and “when” sex happens—and how couples can navigate this dynamic in a healthy and loving way.Whether you're the one who's always ready or the one who needs a little warming up, this episode will help you connect, communicate, and create more balance in your intimate life. This episode sponsored by vitalhealthproductsusa.comIf you are feeling like something is off with your energy or health, check out all of the great vitamins and dietary supplements to help you improve your overall health and wellbeing. In our videos, podcasts, and other things that we do, we sometimes get feedback from people that make comments that leave us wondering "how in the world did they come to that impression?" or "what podcast are they listening to?" Or they interpret something from the podcast, newsletter or video that in reality had nothing to do with what we were even stating. People see and hear what they want to based upon their experiences, emotions and many times what they are going through. The human brain is wired to interpret information based on past experiences, emotions, and current circumstances. This phenomenon is called confirmation bias — the tendency to search for, interpret, and remember information that aligns with our existing beliefs and feelings. We often do this in our marriages as well which can cause great harm or damage, especially if there is not open communication, or our pride and ego is too high. Also, one of the reasons why this is so serious is Miscommunication is one of the top three causes of divorce, according to a study by the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers? In this episode, we discuss this important topic and solutions as well as statistics to help you combat this in you marriage. This episode sponsored by vitalhealthproductsusa.comIf you are feeling like something is off with your energy or health, check out all of the great vitamins and dietary supplements to help you improve your overall health and wellbeing. If you've been a longtime listener of our podcast, you know that we always emphasize the deep connection between emotional intimacy and sexual intimacy. The two are inseparable—when one is lacking, the other suffers. And when sexual intimacy begins to fade in a marriage, the emotional toll can be devastating. In this episode, we tackle a difficult but necessary conversation: the emotional impacts of a sexless (or nearly sexless) marriage and why, if left unaddressed, it often leads to divorce. We'll discuss:Why sex is more than just physical—It's a bonding experience that builds trust, connection, and closeness. How emotional and physical intimacy fuel each other—When physical affection disappears, so does emotional security, leading to loneliness, resentment, and disconnection. What happens to a marriage when one spouse feels rejected—Lack of intimacy can make one or both spouses feel unwanted, unseen, or unloved, creating a wedge in the relationship. Why resentment builds over time—When needs aren't met, frustration and bitterness take over, making it even harder to reconnect. And much more! But we're not just here to talk about the problems—we're here to offer real solutions. In this episode, we continue our conversation about intimacy in marriage—this time from the husband's perspective. In the previous episode, Amy shared the 20 things wives wish their husbands knew, and now it's Nate's turn to reveal the things men wish they could tell their wives—but often don't know how to say.If you've ever wondered what's really going on in your husband's mind when it comes to intimacy, this episode is a must-listen. Nate dives into helping wives understand what their husbands wish their spouse new. Here's just a glimpse of what we're covering:Don't Use Sex as a Weapon – How intimacy should never be used as punishment, leverage, or control. He Wants to See You – Why visual connection is important for him and how body confidence plays a role.Tell Him Clearly – Husbands aren't mind readers—here's why clear communication makes all the difference.Flirt with Him – How small moments of playfulness, teasing, and attraction fuel long-term intimacy. He Wants You to Want It – Why feeling desired (not just obligated) is a game-changer for your marriage. It's Not You, It's Him – Understanding how stress, performance anxiety, and external pressures can impact a husband's intimacy. Many wives assume that men just “want sex” without deeper emotional needs, but the truth is, intimacy is about so much more for husbands. They long to feel wanted, respected, and deeply connected—and when that happens, everything in marriage gets better. This is an episode you don't want to miss! Whether you're a wife who wants to better understand your husband or a husband who's struggling to express what you truly need, this conversation will bring clarity, connection, and maybe even some breakthroughs in your marriage.Get the book Let's Talk About Sex: 20 Things Christian Husbands And Wives Wish Their Spouse Knew (Or Would Do), But Don't Know How To Tell You.This episode sponsored by vitalhealthproductsusa.comIf you are feeling like something is off with your energy or health, check out all of the great vitamins and dietary supplements to help you improve your overall health and wellbeing. In this 12-minute episode, I explore the delicate balance between prioritizing relationships and careers, inspired by a heartfelt conversation with my uncle. Drawing from personal anecdotes, including my grandparents' daily rituals of connection, I reflect on how cultural differences, like the hustle culture of North America versus the slower, relationship-focused pace in the Middle East, impact our ability to nurture meaningful relationships.I discuss the importance of quality over quantity in spending time with loved ones, how small rituals of connection can strengthen bonds, and why a healthy relationship can actually enhance career success. Whether you're navigating long work hours, societal pressures, or simply trying to find harmony between your personal and professional life, this episode offers practical insights and a fresh perspective on why relationships deserve our attention. To purchase and download the guide please click here♾ In a fast-paced world like the one we live in, time is one of our most important assets. Once again, it is time for a refresher course inspired by the teaching of four-time podcast guest John Gray, the #1 bestselling relationship author of all-time with his Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus franchise. In this highlight episode, you will hear life-changing advice and insights into relationship health, including the specific “assignments” John Gray has designated for men and women and why. You will learn about the importance of being a “Kung Fu Master”, why men should never speak when they have a negative emotional charge, and the #1 danger women face today. I also include tips from author David Deida, talk about the effects of complaining or nitpicking and what happens when you instead express everything as a preference, and how to overcome emotionally fragile reactions. You will also learn what causes arguments to escalate, why women just need to vent, what kills the passion in a relationship, what causes women to end up anxious and depressed, and more details about the different fundamental biological drives and hormonal underpinnings that influence our behavior and wants and needs. TIMESTAMPS: After the first two highlight podcasts, Brad looks at relationship insights. [01:04] The male’s relationship assignment is to be a kung fu master by remaining calm, cool and collected. [02:43] The female needs to vent, to talk out her problems, concerns, challenges, and complaints. [09:55] Leave the petty grievances alone. Decide what is really important. [14:59] The female should never complain and nitpick your male partner. [18:11] You are responsible for your own happiness. You cannot depend on another person to make you happy. [20:10] The evolving culture and evolving relationship roles lead to challenges, mainly with the female. [23:23] Another dynamic is the increased isolation of society. [26:16] John Gray’s anatomy of an argument: Female feels unhappy and starts to feel disconnected. The males responds by telling her why she shouldn’t feel that way.
