Re-live a dramatic - and pivotal - Spanish GP as it unfolded from Friday through to Sunday.  The race resulted in yet another one-two finish for McLaren-Mercedes but will be remembered for the fireworks in the closing laps, after a Safety Car deployment.  Charles Leclerc eventually finished third for Ferrari, ahead of Mercedes' George Russell, Nico Hulkenberg (Sauber-Ferrari), Sir Lewis Hamilton (Ferrari) and Isack Hadjar (Racing Bulls-Honda).  After driving brilliantly in pursuit of the McLarens for much of the race, Red Bull-Honda's Max Verstappen was demoted to P10 after a late-race collision with Russell.  Support the showVisit: https://youtube.com/peterwindsor for F1 videos past, present and future

No shortage of content here, whether it be McLaren-Mercedes brushing aside the new FIA wing tests to score another, devastating one-two finish in the Spanish GP; or Max Verstappen driving brilliantly through to the Safety Car deployment with six laps to go; or Max and Ferrari's Charles Leclerc colliding at 308kph; or Red Bull blowing Max's race with three bad calls (not keeping him out there, leading the race behind the SC, fitting hard Pirellis and needlessly telling Max to give position back to George Russell); or Max, exploding, deliberately t-boning Russell's Mercedes and incurring a ten-second penalty.  So settle back, keep the espressos brewing...and enjoy. With thanks to Jetcraft, the world's largest buyer and seller of executive jets:https://jetcraft.comTo OEM Exclusive, the passionate suppliers of OEM upgrades for exotic and high-performance vehiclesTo TrackNinja, a lap-timer and data app designed to help users improve their on-track car and driver performance through analysis and an innovative Data Garage. It all happened in qualifying at Monaco - the more so because the new two-pit-stop rule for 2025 also nullified the drivers' ability to manage (or not) the Pirelli tyres. Thus it was a jubilant Lando Norris who won his first Monaco GP, ahead of Ferrari's Charles Leclerc, Lando's team-mate, Oscar Piastri and Red Bull-Honda's Max Verstappen. Sir Lewis Hamilton, who had incurred a three-place grid penalty for impeding, was a distant fifth for Ferrari, ahead of the excellent Racing Bulls-Honda of Isack Hadjar.  Join Peter as the action begins on FridayWith thanks to Jetcraft, the world's largest buyer and seller of executive jets:https://jetcraft.comTo OEM Exclusive, the passionate suppliers of OEM upgrades for exotic and high-performance vehiclesTo TrackNinja, a lap-timer and data app designed to help users improve their on-track car and driver performance through analysis and an innovative Data Garage. From seemingly nowhere on Friday, when his Red Bull RB21-Honda was plagued with understeer, Max Verstappen rose to the pole at Suzuka on Saturday and to an (unprecedented) fourth consecutive race win on Sunday.  The two McLaren MCL39-Mercedes, driven by Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, clearly  provided the better performance packages; yet, by consolidating his pole and by perfectly managing his tyres and the race as a whole - and by driving faultlessly -  Verstappen achieved one of his greatest dry-track victories.  Relive those moments now on our latest podcast. It begins with Friday at Suzuka - when Jack Doohan survived a huge shunt due to a DRS error - and ends with Max's Perfect Day. The rain delivered another F1 thriller in Melbourne, with McLaren-Mercedes' Lando Norris crossing the line to win by only 0.8sec from Red Bull-Honda's Max Verstappen. George Russell and Kimi Antonelli finished P3-P4 for Mercedes and fifth was the excellent Alex Albon (Williams-Mercedes), ahead of Sauber-Ferrari's Nico Hulkenberg and the two, disappointing, Ferraris of Charles Leclerc and Sir Lewis Hamilton. The race was strewn with incident, beginning with Racing Bull-Honda's Isaac Hadjar crashing on the formation lap; Alpine-Renault's Jack Doohan losing control on the straight on the opening lap; Carlos Sainz (Williams-Mercedes) spinning into the barriers due to a Safety Car mode glitch; Aston Martin-Mercedes' Fernando Alonso shunting at high speed on intermediate tyres; and Gabriele Bortoleto (Sauber-Ferrari) and Liam Lawson (Red Bull-Honda) going off-course while running slicks in the semi-wet. In addition, McLaren-Mercedes' Oscar Piastri (who seemed set to finish P2) spun luridly onto the grass and both Leclerc  and Antonelli survived quick track-surface spins without damage.  Peter Windsor in this video looks back at the day's key moments. With thanks to Jetcraft, the world's largest buyer and seller of executive jets:https://jetcraft.comTo OEM Exclusive, the passionate suppliers of OEM upgrades for exotic and high-performance vehiclesAnd to TrackNinja, a lap-timer and data app designed to help users improve their on-track car and driver performance through analysis and an innovative Data Garage. Peter talks at length with the driver who in 2024 underwent open-heart surgery before rising again to win. Only one other driver in motor racing history - Robert Kubica - has won both a World Championship Grand Prix and a major rally championship; the other is Heikki Kovalainen. Winner of the 2008 Hungarian GP for McLaren-Mercedes and a podium finisher for Renault F1, Heikki subsequently won two Japanese Rally Championships with Toyota in 2022 and 2023. Then, in the spring of 2024,  Heikki's life changed suddenly when he underwent urgent open-heart surgery in Finland. For two hours he was on life-support.As we now know, the operation was a resounding success. Heikki was soon back in business, presenting the trophies on the podium for the Secto Rally of Finland in early August, before winning again in Japan. It wasn't over, though: on November 25 he was lying a stunning third in the WRC2 division of the Rally of Japan when he crashed heavily on a fast right-hander. As he says in this interview, "it gave the new heart system a bit of a work-out..." And still there was to be an epilogue: basically uninjured, Heikki on December 14-15 jumped into a car totally new to him and won the all-tarmac Union Rally in Italy. All for the love of his sport. Which is why, in our opinion Heikki was unquestionably the star of 2024 In this interview he talks to Peter about his surgery (44:30); about his massive shunt in Japan (28.53); and about beating the likes of Michael Schumacher, Sebastien Loeb, David Coulthard, Felipe Massa, Sebastian Vettel and Toyota's latest Rally star, Sami Pajari, in head-to-head match races in a wide variety of cars (17:00).With thanks to Jetcraft, the world's largest buyer and seller of executive jets:https://jetcraft.comTo OEM Exclusive, the passionate suppliers of OEM upgrades for exotic and high-performance vehiclesAnd to TrackNinja, a lap-timer and data app designed to help users improve their on-track car and driver performance through analysis and an innovative Data Garage. Along the way, Peter also found time to create his own self-sustaining glider, to fly a Tiger Moth and to restore a Bugatti T51.  Peter Wright spoke to Peter Windsor from his home in Presteigne, on the Welsh-English border, just before Christmas. The Constructors' World Championship hung in the balance going into Abu Dhabi but McLaren-Mercedes nailed it down with a superlative performance from Lando Norris: he took the pole and dominated the race, leading home the two Ferraris - McLaren's only rivals for the title - by a comfortable margin.  Oscar Piastri qualified a strong P2 in the other McLaren but collided with Max Verstappen's Red Bull-Honda at the first corner; he finished P10.  The factory Mercedes were fourth and fifth, with Sir Lewis Hamilton (on medium Pirellis) passing George Russell (on the harder tyre) in sight of the flag.  In this podcast Peter not only details the three days of Abu Dhabi as they happened but also talks to Mario Isola, Pirelli's Director of motor sport about the 2024 season and the prospects for 2025 and 2026. A one-place grid penalty was brushed aside by Max Verstappen in Qatar: within about 25 seconds of the lights going out - for as long as it took to float into T1 on the inside of George Russell, RB20 perfectly-balanced - it was Max in front, with everyone else in his turbulence.  Lando Norris fought him hard but was eventually (and needlessly, in our opinion) penalised for not respecting yellow flags. Russell, ironically, was also penalised for a Safety Car infraction...which left P2 to Ferrari's Charles Leclerc, thereby keeping the Constructors' championship very much alive.  Here are all of Peter's summings-up from the three days of Qatar - plus the additional content he produced on race morning, when news broke of Verstappen's penalty. This was one of the great ones - one of the great races and certainly one of the great wins.  From P17 on the grid Red Bull's Max Verstappen not only took the lead of the Brazilian GP with 26 wet laps still to run but also proceeded in setting fastest lap on 15 different occasions.  Some will say that Max was massively helped today by a red flag "free" pit stop - an unpredictable intervention that came on the wrong side of the McLaren, Ferrari and Mercedes strategies. One of the reasons, though, that Max stayed out when others stopped was because of the way he was using his Pirelli intermediates. His almost-perfect wear pattern was a testament to his driving on both fast corners and slow.  He lost some grip with wear in that first phase; but, despite his numerous overtakes, he never lost the balance of the car. Alpine were strong from the start and undoubtedly did benefit from a "free" stop:  Esteban Ocon finished an excellent second (from P4) and Pierre Gasly drove brilliantly from P13 on the grid to finish third. George Russell finished a titanic fourth after leading from the start in a Mercedes that Lewis Hamilton found virtually undriveable; Charles Leclerc was P5 in an equally-difficult Ferrari; and Lando Norris, after starting from the pole and winning the sprint race, finished only sixth. As a result of this astonishing win, Verstappen now has a 62 point lead in the FIA World Drivers' Championship with three races to go.With thanks to Jetcraft, the world's largest buyer and seller of executive jets:https://jetcraft.comTo OEM Exclusive, the passionate suppliers of OEM upgrades for exotic and high-performance vehiclesAnd to TrackNinja, a lap-timer and data app designed to help users improve their on-track car and driver performance through analysis and an innovative Data Garage. It was the race when McLaren's Lando Norris closed the gap a little to the championship leader - Red Bull's Max Verstappen.  It was the race when Max, for his part, incurred two ten second penalties for his over-zealous driving.  It was the race when Norris beautifully beat Ferrari's Charles Leclerc in the closing stages. And it was, withal, the race in which Ferrari's Carlos Sainz started from the pole and basically dominated throughout.  His was a classic, classy win - a faultless win in which he even had the perspicacity, on the opening lap, to relinquish the lead to Max after effectively passing him off-track.  No matter. Carlos ten minutes later made the clean pass going into Turn One.  From then on, his was a race of defence - initially against Max, then against his team-mate, Leclerc, and then, finally, against a fast-closing Norris.  Under pressure, Sainz made no mistakes.  Which is all the more astonishing given that Ferrari will shortly be dumping Sainz in favour of Sir Lewis Hamilton.  No front-line driver in the history of the sport, as Peter says in this podcast, has had to endure that sort of abandonment - not throughout the season long, not when they are still capable of upstaging the other driver AND winning races.Enjoy Peter's podcast, then - from the beginning of untimed practice on Friday, when both Leclerc and Norris were obliged to vacate their seats for newer drivers, to the dramatic, closing moments of a famous Sainz victory. So order a Grande, sprinkle the chocolate and enjoy this (often irreverent) but penetrating chat. A lite version is free; the loaded version is US$9.99 pcm or $99.99 yearlyhttps://trackninja.appAnd a special thanks to Cameron. Peter caught up with Hyundai's Thierry Neuville shortly after his return to Europe from the Rally of Chile.  The current leader of the FIA World Rally Drivers' Championship with two rounds to go, Neuville finished a solid fourth in Chile and won the epic SS11 stage in heavy fog.  He talks about that in this podcast - and the recent, astonishing slurs that Toyota's Sébastien Ogier has recently been sending in his direction.  Thierry also looks ahead to this weekend's potentially decisive Central European (tarmac) Rally and to the season's finale in Japan. With thanks to Hyundai Motorsport; the WRC; Thierry Neuville and Red BullThanks also to Jetcraft, the world's largest buyer and seller of executive jets:https://jetcraft.comTo OEM Exclusive, the passionate suppliers of OEM upgrades for exotic and high-performance vehiclesAnd to TrackNinja, a lap-timer and data app designed to help users improve their on-track car and driver performance through analysis and an innovative Data Garage.  A lite version is free; the loaded version is US$9.99 pcm or $99.99 yearlyhttps://trackninja.appAlpinestars:https://alpinestars.comOscar Razor:Australia's highly-rated, 5-blade razors for men and women https://oscarrazor.com.auFollow Peter on Twitter and Instagram:@peterdwindsorWe support the Race Against Dementia:https://raceagainstdementia.com#standwithukraine Nick: you're always with usVisit: https://youtube.com/peterwindsor for F1 videos past, present and future

Peter begins this livestream with his thoughts on the new tie-up between Toyota and Haas-Ferrari.  It's basically win-win from every angle - although the whole business of an F1 team by definition designing and building its own car takes a bit of knock when you consider that, in the immediate future, Haas F1 will be co-producing its cars with Ferrari, Toyota and Dallara...There are plenty of questions and comments - as ever - from F1 fans around the world, with subjects ranging from the current Pirelli tyre monopoly to Ford's Walter Hayes suggesting to Jim Clark in early 1967 that he (Jim) should perhaps accept a pay rise.  And there is an exclusive interview with Hyundai's Thierry Neuville, current leader (with two rounds to go) of the FIA World Rally Drivers' Championship.  Fresh from his P4 in the recent Rally of Chile, Thierry braved a bout of the 'flu to talk to Peter on Zoom. So download, brew the coffee and enjoy the latest episode in Peter's highly-acclaimed series of F1 podcasts. A lite version is free; the loaded version is US$9.99 pcm or $99.99 yearlyhttps://trackninja.appAlpinestars:https://alpinestars.comOscar Razor:Australia's highly-rated, 5-blade razors for men and women https://oscarrazor.com.auFollow Peter on Twitter and Instagram:@peterdwindsorWe support the Race Against Dementia:https://raceagainstdementia.com#standwithukraine Nick: you're always with us Visit: https://youtube.com/peterwindsor for F1 videos past, present and future

Hundreds of questions and comments coloured our September 26 livestream - many of them relating to the ongoing championship, race and political battles between McLaren, Red Bull, Mercedes and Ferrari.  We didn't have time to respond to everyone but here's a good sample.  And, as a bonus, please also enjoy a 30min chat with Yves Morizot, the founder of Stand 21 (and thus one of the key men behind the use of the HANS collar safety device throughout the motor racing world).  One of F1's less-obvious heroes, Yves encapsulates the essence of the French F1 revolution that characterised the 1970s and 1980s.With thanks to Jetcraft, the world's largest buyer and seller of executive jets:https://jetcraft.comTo OEM Exclusive, the passionate suppliers of OEM upgrades for exotic and high-performance vehiclesAnd to TrackNinja, a lap-timer and data app designed to help users improve their on-track car and driver performance through analysis and an innovative Data Garage.  A lite version is free; the loaded version is US$9.99 pcm or $99.99 yearlyhttps://trackninja.appCameron: @CameronCcTVAlpinestars:https://alpinestars.comOscar Razor:Australia's highly-rated, 5-blade razors for men and women https://oscarrazor.com.auFollow Peter on Twitter and Instagram:@peterdwindsorWe support the Race Against Dementia:https://raceagainstdementia.com#standwithukraine Nick: you're always with usVisit: https://youtube.com/peterwindsor for F1 videos past, present and future
