What Peter wrote about trials, as a man who had experienced the trial of having the enemies of the Lord challenge him about his association with the Lord.
The trumpets as God released the judgments. God's righteousness in judging the world.
Paul and Silas opened the scriptures in Thessalonica to show that the Christ must suffer and that Jesus was that Christ. Many responded to the truth. But there was heavy paid opposition from the Jews of the synagogue.

Send us a textThis case is in living memory. Going back to 1974. Egon Von Bulow's parents came from South America, had him while in the UK, then left him when they went back home. Not an ideal start for him. He grew up anti authoritarian. He shot three policemen and committed other crimes after seemingly losing control during July 1974. He could be living near you today.
A look at predestination in Ephesians 1, following the train of thought.

Send us a textBefore the OJ Simpson trial, the Claus Von Bulow case was the trial of the century. It was the first nationally televised criminal trial. This case has it all wealth, sex and murder. This case provides a peek into the secretive lives of socialites. Sunny Von Bulow inherited over 200 million dollars at age three. She was a constant on the Manhattan and Newport society scene and her apparently aristocratic husband Claus, fit right in. As the 1980's rolled around the talk of divorce was in the air, that certainly that concerned Claus. The case would culminate in a prolonged coma for Sunny and a possible life sentence for Claus Von Bulow. We continue our sleuthing in Newport in today's episode, focusing in on a little more reporting from our man Dominick Dunne. Dunne covered the second trial of Claus von Bulow, and in so doing, uncovered a few more shady characters. Today, we investigate the two guys coming to help out Claus - David Marriott and Father Phillip Magaldi, both proven to ultimately be lying for Claus to get away with murder. Alicia definitely falls into a rabbit hole in this episode from the Patreon Vault. Dominick Dunne writes just one little paragraph in his reporting on the von Bulow case that was definitely worth investigating. Dunne makes a mention about Paul E. Molitor, Jr., who was kind of a big deal in Newport for a little while, for his preservation efforts and being a houseguest of Sunny and Claus. But it is really his mysterious death, just at the height of his triumph, that is the real mystery. Continue your investigation with ad-free and bonus episodes on Patreon! you'll have to listen to find out!
Continuing with the apostle Paul in his gospel outreach
How we can please the Lord. Paul's desire for the believers is that they would walk worthy of the Lord Jesus and be fully pleasing to Him. He wrote to them to explain how they could live in such a way that they would please Him.
The Lord gave the apostles signs as they preached the gospel. Signs are pointers to the reality. The reality isn't speaking in tongues, it is changed speech. Healing the lame man was a sign. The reality is a changed life that follows the Lord. These realities are the great testimony that persuades people to listen to Jesus.
Newport, Rhode Island, 1980. The mysterious case of Claus von Bulow, a man accused and acquitted twice of the attempted murder of his wife, "Sunny". See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
Paul wrote that the believers were complete in Christ. They did not need to add traditions and principles to be approved of by God. Everything they needed to be complete as a Christian is in Christ.
The Father has made Christ everything to us. We are complete in Him.

The resurrection where Jesus fulfilled His statement that He had overcome the world
The fondational truth of Christianity: We begin in sin, guilty before God; He has saved us. 1 Corinthians 13 - a better way. Receive love from God in order to love. We learn the love of God through the pursuit of knowing God, learning who He is. We may learn through nature, working, and His commands. These things are not the and goal of the Christian life, they are the means to learn of God. This is the Christian life.
John is joined by the actor, director, writer, and producer Griffin Dunne to discuss The Friday Afternoon Club, his recent memoir about his famous literary family. Dunne offers intimate portraits of his sister Dominique, an actress on the rise four decades ago (having starred in Steven Spielberg's Poltergeist in 1982) who was strangled to death by her ex-boyfriend; his father, Dominick, whose coverage of Dominique's murder trial in Vanity Fair turned him into the marquee chronicler of celebrity true-crime cases of the Eighties and Nineties, from O.J. Simpson to Claus von Bulow to the Menendez brothers; and his aunt, the legendary Joan Didion, about whom Griffin made an acclaimed Netflix documentary. Dunne also discusses the highlights of own acting career, from playing the lead in the Martin Scorsese cult classic After Hours to his memorable cameo in the first season of Succession.
