Every NBA team at some point in their history has hit a drought so to say. A drought from success that keeps them out of the postseason picture. It can be injuries, poor coaching, bad management, whiffed draft picks or a combination of it all. In this segment Josh and Calvan look at EVERY NBA franchise and dissect their longest absence from NBA playoff basketball and ask the question, "what went wrong?" Even the driest of droughts see rain once again and there is light at the end of every tunnel. In part 2 of this 2 part series, Calvan tackles the Northwest, Southwest and Central divisions. In part 1 Josh covered the Atlantic, Pacific and Southeast. Will and Diezel predict the 2023-24 outcomes for the Pacific and Central Divisions.
3/4 Done. NHL Global Series in the books in the land down under and NHL training camps are underway with full throttle which can only mean that we are just few short days away from the opening night of the NHL 2023-2024 regular season. We've already covered the Atlantic and Central Divisions in prior weeks which means that today we'll have the Metropolitan Division on the plate to finish off the Eastern Conference before diving into the last remaining division the Pacific, which will be on the cards next week. Metro's power sctructure felt quite a shift during last year's regular season which has completely changed the outlook of the division itself where former veteran powerhouses Pittsburgh and Washington have become the underdogs facing a tough hill to climb when aiming to return back to postseason hockey after 1-year hiatus. Few teams were handed a platter full of tough love and I also got to give my honest opinion on the Mike Babcock situation so, listener disgression is adviced and if there's any Isles fans out there, let me know what's your take on your team's current outlook 'cause I've lost my patient with the leadership of your team and you are about to hear that in today's episode. 1 more to go! MLBTR's Steve Adams joins Darragh McDonald to discuss the Reds and Pirates sitting on top of the NL Central thanks to strong performances from young players like the newly promoted Henry Davis, Gavin Williams being the latest in the Guardians' seemingly endless line of top pitching prospects and if the team will try to leverage their pitching depth at the deadline, the White Sox saying that they plan to only sell their impending free agents and the Dodgers looking to solidify their rotation. Listener question topics include whether the Cubs would trade Christopher Morel, the chances of the Diamondbacks promoting Jordan Lawlar and what blockbuster trade for the Rangers could look like.

Flyover Country: We do occasionally have to talk about the Central Divisions. 2. Yanks and Sawx: But what the people really want are Yanks and Sawx (plus a long Astros aside and us considering a Luis Robert trade to the Orioles)3. The Craij Up: The Dodgers have been struggling, Leody Taveras has not, and Jo Adell hit a home run (and then another, much longer home run after we recorded).4.
