    Ivy Insights

The Bill Simmons Podcast is a must-listen for any sports and culture enthusiast. As a lifelong Steelers fan, I initially had reservations about Simmons' support for Mallory Rubin, especially considering my pure hatred for the Ravens. However, her ability to call out Simmons for trying to have her on after a loss was spot-on and made me appreciate her perspective. Despite this small disagreement, I thoroughly enjoy the podcast.

One of the best aspects of The Bill Simmons Podcast is the chemistry that Simmons develops with a wide range of guests. His conversations flow effortlessly and his ability to create an easy rapport with his guests is truly unique. Recent episodes featuring guests like Doc Rivers have been excellent examples of this chemistry. Additionally, as a recent convert to NBA fandom, I appreciate Simmons' deep dives into basketball topics, even if some of it goes over my head. His honest and thoughtful discussions are always entertaining.

The worst aspect of this podcast is Mallory Rubin's presence. Personally, I find her unlistenable and don't understand why she continues to be featured so prominently on the show. While Boston Bill is highly entertaining and has built an empire with The Ringer, his devotion to having Rubin on the podcast seems like his Achilles heel. However, this is just my personal opinion and others may enjoy her contributions.

In conclusion, despite my disagreement with some aspects of The Bill Simmons Podcast such as Mallory Rubin's presence, I still love the show overall. It provides great NFL analysis on Mondays with Cousin Sal as they break down the previous weekend's games. The show also features fantastic celebrity interviews that are a must-listen for any Boston sports fan. Additionally, Simmons' NBA content stands out among other podcasts due to its honest and thoughtful approach without resorting to hot takes common in mainstream networks. Overall, it is hands down the best sports/culture podcast available but recently there have been too many editing errors that need addressing.
