The Arabian Traveler Poetry spends time with Chancellor Jackson to talk about love and how he was able to overcome adversities by finding love and compassion for himself. He talks about his journey to teach English in China and how that transformed his life. He came over adversities through the deep love his family had for him, and his early years of playing football. As someone who came late to play football, he had to overcome adversities and find emotional intelligence to help guide him as a male of color. He talks lovingly of his single mom who raised him along with his brother in a very busy neighborhood and gave him everything he needed. Chancellor Jackson, author of 14 Days in Beijing, preceeds Brittany Griner with a story similar to hers: incarceration in a foreign country for possession of an illegal substance. Relive Chancellor's bewilderment, confusion, and concern upon being imprisoned without knowing what was going to happen to him. You will enjoy a few of his lighter moments as when his Chinese cellmates wanted to know if the stereotypes of African men's intimates were true.

PSA the Mental Health Podcast is keeping the ball rolling with an episode that caters to freedom. What if I told you that you were already free? You probably wouldn't believe me. In a society where abortions have been banned, racism is still alive and well, and restrictions because of the pandemic, this could seem unreal to most. Nonetheless, episode 15 comes right back with an episode reveals that you're freer than you already realize. Izzy interviews Chancellor (Chance) K. Jackson, who is Atlanta's finest author, educator, coach, and creative mind behind several books including "14 Days in Bejing". In this episode, the two uncover some of the comedic and interesting elements of education while being black men in education, how Chance got locked up in a foreign country for marijuana, how he became a best-selling author and hated writing, realizing that freedom is a mindset and that you actually have more freedom than you realize, and even giving some tips on how-to live-in freedom as well. Izzy also gives his personal review of the ABC hit sitcom "Abbot Elementary"Chancellor K. UNFORGETTABLE STORY OF A YOUNG AMERICAN'S JOURNEY THROUGH A CHINESE PENITENTIARY Chancellor K. Jackson.. Intro; “ My name is Lucky Chance. I'm a young man looking for an exciting life of travel, and I'm here in Beijing to start a teaching job. On April 4th, 2019, my luck runs out. The Beijing Police show up to my apartment unannounced and I'm arrested on drug charges. I get no information about the law, my rights, nothing. After 14 hours of sitting handcuffed in a holding cell, my destination is Beijing Jail No. 6. I am in a cell with 14 Chinese men and 9 wooden beds for 24 hours a day. I have no idea how many days I will be here, or whether I will ever receive any information. Am I the only foreigner in this jail? How does this jail even work? Does anyone even know I am here? Surely, as the time passes, my girlfriend, my friends, and my coworkers will notice I am missing eventually. Will they be able to find out where I am? How long will that take, or is this to be my future now? Will I ever leave this cell? Embark on this 14 Day Journey with me. “
