In a blink of an eye, or more specifically four games, the St. John's season went from dead to back on life support to very much alive. St. John's is playing the best basketball of their season at just the right time. So we'll sit down with Assistant Coach Bob Walsh who has been around for every second of it to discuss what's changed, what has happened and why. Twice in two weeks St. John's has lost a game to a ranked Big East Opponent by one point. Heartbreak part deux happened inside Madison Square Garden on Saturday when St. John's valiant comeback effort fell short as Chris Ledlum and Daniss Jenkins both missed crucial threes at the end of the game. Turnovers in the first half didn't help, poor defense in the 2nd half didn't help, yet St. John' showed toughness and resiliency but simply couldn't get over the hump. We recap it all as St. John's lost to #17 Marquette 73-72Follow the podcast on Twitter:@EyeonStormPod = Eye on the Storm Podcast#sjubb

St. John's went on the road and did something they haven't done since 1993, and that's beat Villanova at The Finn. Thanks to Joel Soriano and Daniss Jenkins the Johnnies were able to overcome not having Chris Ledlum, and a new career high by Brady Dunlap made sure of that. Dunlap got his first start as a Johnnie and rewarded Rick Pitino with 12 points in the 2nd half, to finish with 15. It was a solid defensive effort as the Johnnies held Eric Dixon and the Wildcats in check, something they often were unable to do in the past. St. John's is tied for first in the Big East at 3-1 and are now 11-4 on the season.Follow the podcast on Twitter:@EyeonStormPod = Eye on the Storm Podcast#sjubb

St. John's faced their first true road test against West Virginia on Friday Night and while they had to battle the hostile crowd and as Rick Pitino said "the elements of the referees" they still came away victorious. Joel Soriano had a career high 24 points, Chris Ledlum chipped in with a double-double and Nahiem Alleyne proved once again why his championship experience is invaluable to this roster. After a busy week of transfer news and rumors, things wind down for the Indiana Hoosiers with Harvard transfer target Chris Ledlum scheduling a campus visit to Bloomington. IU women's basketball head coach Teri Moren also was named Associated Press National Coach of the Year on Thursday. On today's episode of Locked on Hoosiers, Jacob Rude (@JacobRude) discusses Ledlum's upcoming visit to Indiana, which will come only after a dead week that started on Thursday. As a player that could really unlock IU's offense moving forward, Ledlum seems like a priority for the Hoosiers coach staff. After a dominant season from the Hoosiers, Moren earned a well-deserved national honor with the AP Coach of the Year award. The video of the team surprising Moren with the award is as good as anything you'll see this week. The show wraps by looking at a pair of teams that we haven't discussed much in the softball and baseball teams. Both sides are on winning streaks, but the softball team is up to No. 24 in the country after an 18-game winning streak and counting. Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! The Kentucky Wildcats haven't even played a game in the postseason, and John Calipari has his eyes set on a bucket-getter in the transfer portal. On today's episode of Locked On Kentucky, Lance Dawe discusses Kentucky basketball's reported interest in Harvard Crimson transfer Chris Ledlum. Ledlum's season has already ended, and there are several big name schools (UCLA, Ohio State, Florida, Xavier, Indiana, among many others) that have reached out with interest in pursuing his services. With a loaded recruiting class coming in next season, where would Ledlum realistically fit in Kentucky's rotation? Rob Dillingham, DJ Wagner and Reed Sheppard should have the guard spots locked down... could he play behind Justin Edwards at small forward if Chris Livingston doesn't leave for the NBA Draft? Or would Cal want him at the four, with Daimion Collins and Lance Ware? Dawe also takes a look one more time at the updated bracketology from ESPN, CBS Sports, and NCAA.com. There are a multitude of interesting draws projected out for the Wildcats, but Andy Katz may just have projected the easiest (on paper) of them all... What would dictate a successful summer, though, for the Hoosiers in the coming weeks? The show wraps by looking at the latest bracketology ahead of IU playing in the Big Ten Tournament. The Hoosiers look very solidly locked into the fourth seed as virtually all the top seeds in the tournament seem firmly in their spots.Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!Built BarBuilt Bar is a protein bar that tastes like a candy bar. Or would Cal want him at the four, with Daimion Collins and Lance Ware?Dawe also takes a look one more time at the updated bracketology from ESPN, CBS Sports, and NCAA.com. There are a multitude of interesting draws projected out for the Wildcats, but Andy Katz may just have projected the easiest (on paper) of them all...Tristan Pharis' bracketology article: https://kyinsider.com/pre-sec-tournament-bracketology-update-030923/Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!LinkedInLinkedIn jobs helps you find the candidates you want to talk to, faster.
