Coach Weber recaps a 43-14 win over Columbus Junction that capped an 8-0 regular season and previews a tough first-round playoff matchup with Earlham. The Panthers showed a balanced attack (170 rushing yards), a bounce-back performance from QB Randy Smith, and a game-changing return threat in Elijah Brock. The coach highlighted the team's resilience after overcoming turnovers earlier in the season, strong special-teams play, and key playmakers like Henry Adam and Nolan. He expects a close, physical matchup against a big, single-wing-style Earlham team and says discipline in all three phases will decide the game.
iGaming Daily continues its conference tour, bringing you this episode live from SBC Summit Tblisi, Georgia. Host Charlie Horner, Ted Menmuir, and Martyn Elliott assess the potential of the Central and Eastern European (CEE) and Central Asian markets. I met Morgan Myers back in 2017 with the Columbus Westside Running Club. We had run together occasionally at group runs, but our most recent time running together was 2021 at the GRRR 50k, before she moved away. She continues challenging herself and recently completed the Woodstock 50 miler. She is such a happy person to be around & it was great catching up as she is gearing up for the Huron 100 miler. Don't challenge her because she will go three times farther than you think.

RUNDOWN Plenty of sports heartbreak — from the Dolphins' ongoing struggles to the Seahawks' gut-punch opener. But there is relief in the Mariners' explosive bats and the Huskies' video-game offense, before shifting gears to launch the annual Beat the Boys contest, presented by Fireside Home Solutions. Listeners get the scoop on how to re-register, this year's lineup of “the boys” (including a new addition, Jason Puckett), and the all-important first password. Along the way, the guys swap birthday trivia, share a Pink backstory you won't forget, and set the stage for a packed show of Seahawks, Mariners, and college football talk. Mitch and Hotshot dive into the Seahawks' frustrating Week 1 loss to the 49ers, where Sam Darnold's quiet debut and Riq Woolen's costly miscues overshadowed a defense that couldn't quite finish the job. They debate Mike Macdonald's decision to kick on a crucial 4th-and-1, the missing downfield threat without DK Metcalf, and whether Seattle's “smashmouth” identity is more talk than reality. Shifting gears, the guys celebrate the Mariners' offensive eruption — 28 runs over two games — that keeps them two games up in the Wild Card race with 19 left, 13 at home. Hope rises in Seattle, but fans have learned to brace for heartbreak. Mitch welcomes Brady Henderson and Jacson Bevens to dissect Seattle's 17–13 Week 1 loss to the 49ers. The defense largely held its ground, limiting San Francisco to 17 points, but the offense sputtered behind Sam Darnold and a conservative game plan. The panel debates Mike Macdonald's critical fourth-down decision, the ongoing frustrations with cornerback Riq Woolen, and the lack of offensive balance despite Jackson Smith-Njigba's breakout. Mitch sits down with Joe Doyle and Brady Farkas to break down a much-needed rebound weekend for the Mariners. With Julio Rodríguez heating up, a rotation trying to steady itself, and 13 of the final 19 games at home, the M's are still firmly in the postseason race. The crew debates Seattle's playoff odds, the outlook for Jorge Polanco's contract, and the development of young catcher Harry Ford. Plus, they preview crucial upcoming series against the Cardinals and Angels as the AL West chase tightens. Rick Neuheisel joins Mitch to recap an eventful Week 2 in college football, from South Florida's upset of Florida to Oregon's early dominance behind quarterback Dante Moore. The two dive into Florida's coaching hot seat, Jedd Fisch's future at Washington, and why Arch Manning's mechanics and rhythm remain under scrutiny as Texas gears up for the SEC gauntlet. Neuheisel also hands out “Chicken Caesar soft tacos” to standout players and duos across the country before making his Week 3 pick: Texas Tech to roll big over Oregon State. As photos of widespread hunger in Gaza continue to spark international backlash, a growing number of Israelis are taking to the streets and speaking out. Emmanuelle Elbaz-Phelps is a French-Israeli journalist and she joins Christiane from Tel Aviv. There's a secure room in the State Capitol filled with the lost treasures of generations of Coloradans: baseball cards, war medals, even a large yellow diamond ring. Unclaimed property that has come into the custody of the state over the decades. All told, Colorado holds around $2 billion in unclaimed assets, some physical, but even more in the form of abandoned accounts, uncashed checks and overlooked tax refunds. Colorado's Treasury Department is tasked with returning assets to their rightful owners. But the fund is also an attractive target for lawmakers looking to pay programs in the face of a cash-strapped state budget.CPR's Bente Birkeland and CPR's Stephanie Wolf look at how the fund is intended to work, what it takes to reclaim property and why lawmakers dipping into it can be a messy situation. Purplish is produced by CPR News and the Capitol News Alliance, a collaboration between KUNC News, Colorado Public Radio, Rocky Mountain PBS, and The Colorado Sun, and shared with Rocky Mountain Community Radio and other news organizations across the state. Funding for the Alliance is provided in part by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. This episode was edited by Megan Verlee and sound designed and engineered by Shane Rumsey. Our theme music is by Brad Turner.
Join Jim and Greg for the Thursday 3 Martini Lunch, as they welcome the news that former Vice President Kamala Harris will not run for governor of California in 2026. They also discuss New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani attempting to downplay his past calls to defund the police, and whether Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth might be eyeing a future political campaign.First, they're glad to see Kamala Harris choose not to enter next year's governor's race, especially since she reportedly had little interest in actually doing the job. They also discuss whether she's likely to pursue another presidential campaign in 2028 and what the California governor's race looks like without Harris in the field.Next, Jim and Greg focus on Mamdani's effort to distance himself from his long-held “defund the police” stance following this week's horrific mass shooting in Manhattan. They're also frustrated by polling that shows Mamdani likely to win the New York City mayoral race, regardless of how the rest of the field shakes out. Jim also slams a Politico article that dismisses criticism of Mamdani's Marxist ideology as “Mamdani Derangement Syndrome.”Finally, they consider reports that Sec. Hegseth might be thinking about leaving his cabinet position to run for political office in Tennessee. Jim and Greg both find this far-fetched, considering the huge goals Hegseth is pursuing for our military and because there's not much he could run for in Tennessee anytime soon. Please visit our great sponsors:No missed calls, no missed customers with OpenPhone.
