Then, for the in-depth segment, I take a look at why Cross-Platform gameplay has not yet become standarized. And lastly, to wrap things up, I speak with Tyler Schrodt, who is the founder and CEO the Electronic Gaming Federation (https://egfederation.com), an organization that aims to create an NCAA-like governing body for collegiate esports as well as to partner with states to set up high school level esports programs. We talk a little gaming, the complexities of establishing esports organizations, some of the issues with the NCAA model, and more!

We sit down with Peter Curry, a Programmer & Designer from Dinosaur Polo Club, developers of Mini Metro. Mini Metro is a subway planning puzzle game, that puts the fun in fundamental transport logistics, with a great procedurally generated soundtrack and a fantastic minimalist design. Peter joined us from Wellington, New Zealand and we learned what it's like to develop a game about subway train network management from a country that doesn't have any subways. We’ll also be talking skill elitism and how it relates to gaming toxicity. Could the source of much of the online toxicity in games be the result of an over inflated value that we place on our gaming prestige? Lastly we took a look at the early access title Fortnite as it recently accidentally allowed PS4 and Xbox One users to play together for the briefest of moments. All eyes are now looking to Sony as to why we still are unable to play with our cross-platform counterparts. Melons! Joe & Merlin

Well, it has finally happened! Sony have revealed the price of PSVR and it is a whopping $399, which is without the PS Camera and PS MOVE controller you need to use the device. Should Sony have made it cheaper? Why not announce all of the extra peripherals needed straight away? Do you think this will sell well? Could people actually use this to play PS4 games without a TV? We try to answer these questions about it as best we can. There’s also a ton more stuff in here, since it has been a bit since we’ve done a podcast. Could Sony and Microsoft actually approve cross-platform play for games? Microsoft has at least extended the olive branch. We talk about the last Nintendo Direct that happened, The Division being the new best selling franchise, Indiana Jones 5 being announced and a ton more. Sean also talks about his time with Senran Kagura: Estival Versus and Marc bought The Division and has been playing quite a lot of it, he also talks about Disgaea PC as well.

Welcome to this special episode of Connectivity. We are proud to announce that, starting this week, we are introducing cross-platform capabilities to our podcasts. What does this mean for you? Read on to learn more! We open this week's show with Scott, Danny, and Patrick answering some listener mail. The trio discuss the future of Mario RPG's, why Miiverse is relatively troll-free, playing 3DS games on Wii U, and what series needs to take a break for a while. While you enjoy this segment, you'll notice a new feature. Thanks to our new cross-platform infrastructure, you'll find that you can download this podcast to any of your devices. That's right! PC, Mac, iPhone, Android device; feel free to download this episode on virtually anything. Revolutionary! Next up, Alex and Justin discuss life in Animal Crossing after 100 hours. The duo discuss their immaculate towns, goals in the late-game, and where New Leaf fits amongst the others in the series. Thanks once again to our new cross-platform cloud system, you can also rest easy knowing that you are free to start this segment on one device and finish it on another (some fast forwarding may be required). How convenient! Closing out the show, Neal, J.P. and Patrick discuss the merits of the Vita and whether or not there is place for it in the homes and backpacks of fervent 3DS owners. The guys go in-depth with the Vita's hardware and software, so if you've been curious about it, this is the segment for you. Unfortunately, we haven't worked out all the kinks with our cross-platform system, so this segment inexplicably might not run on newer devices, despite being available on their progenitors for years. Hey, we aren't perfect here! Be sure to send your listener mail to Connectivity@nintendoworldreport.com. We love hearing from you guys, so keep it coming! 98 episodes in the can, how wild. Wonder what we'll do for 100...
