Happy Friday! Let's not waste any time here — we've got Dale talking Rookies, Jeff Gordon chatting with Kelley Earnhardt Miller about her dad, and Larson listening to a fan-submitted song. We open the show with Dale discussing Corey Heim's eligibility for the Rookie Of The Year being, quite frankly, non-existent. Dale has an idea on how to revamp the process of awarding each year's driver. Next, Kelley Earnhardt Miller hosted Jeff Gordon for Business of Motorsports, and he discussed the advice Dale Earnhardt gave him, his lifetime contract with Hendrick, and bringing in Jimmie Johnson. The usual comic relief comes in Door Bumper Clear, who FINALLY had Kyle Larson join, along with his spotter, Tyler Monn. We couldn't pick just one moment, so we have two: Kyle on talking smack with his daughter about racing and a call from a fan who wrote Larson a song. And lastly, Dale had the weekend with the girls and went to Kannapolis, where the conversation turned to his dad's statue and where the girls might be in understanding who he was. That's all for this week! We will see you next time on the Dirty Thirty. Check out Dirty Mo Media on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@DirtyMoMedia Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Bringing the Heat: Trey & Caleb React to the Race From Iowa

This week on Bringing the Heat With Trey Lyle, Caleb Barnes joins Lyle to focus on the biggest takeaways from the race at Iowa Speedway and talk the hottest topics of the week so far. One driver who has been a not-so-hot topic is Tyler Reddick, after a mistake took the No. 45 out of contention in the opening laps over the weekend. While Barnes believes the panic level is pretty high for the team, these next few races are key for Reddick to regroup and try to rebuild some confidence before the start of the Chase. With just three races left before the cutoff, Barnes and Lyle debate the drivers with the most to lose — or gain — when it comes to qualifying for the field of 16 drivers. That includes some concern about Shane van Gisbergen, along with some hope for some of the Ford drivers to use their short track speed to close on the cut line. Is Corey Heim vs. Carson Hocevar the Next Great NASCAR Rivalry? It might be a little too early to say yes. This week, fans found out that Corey Heim will not be eligible to compete for Rookie of the Year in 2027 due to a new regulation NASCAR is putting in place to determine who can qualify for the award. Barnes believes it's an unnecessary addition, while Lyle wonders if the Cup Series will even have anyone else available to run for 2027 Rookie of the Year. This week's news also brings a number of schedule announcements, including the return of the All Star Race to North Wilkesboro Speedway. While Barnes is sad to see the points race taken away, he thinks it's an opportunity to go to work on the short track package. Meanwhile, Lyle shares his excitement that the O'Reilly Auto Parts Series is returning to the historic venue in 2027. This week's soundbite comes from Christopher Bell, who reiterates some of his frustration with finishing in the runner-up spot yet again. Barnes and Lyle review if Bell could have handled the final run to the finish any differently at Iowa, and what the remainder of the season could look like if the No. 20 team does wind up breaking through to get to victory lane in the next few weeks. Watch Bringing the Heat With Trey Lyle here or listen wherever you get your podcasts.

This heat is the WORST! I guess you could say it's going to cool off tomorrow with a high of just 87°, but I'm done with Summer. Let's get those crispy nights & chilly mornings going already. Jean's on vacation this week in Boston with her family, but I've got plenty of stuff to do this week with a big show on Friday at the Oktoberfest grounds…and a major concert announcement tomorrow morning. Speaking of this Friday's Megadeth & Obituary show at the Festgrounds, we talked to the legendary Dave Mustaine on Friday and ran that interview this morning. In the news today, a deadly shooting at a food festival in Seattle, a recall on a fabric dresser sold at Walmart, a deadly attack on a Pride celebration in Berlin, the latest on the shooting in Madison last week, and an update on the bio-hacker dude. The Brew Crew got a stellar start from the Miz yesterday and crushed the Rockies, Todd Gilliland may have won the $1 million in-season NASCAR tournament…but Corey Heim won the race yesterday, Tony Romo got popped for DUI over the weekend, and Lebron is heading to Philly to join the 76ers. Talked about what's on TV & streaming today/tonight…and recapped some of the highlights from this past weekend's Comic-Con in San Diego. Punch the Monkey just celebrated his first birthday and appears to be doing much better…and a dog that went missing over the 4th of July has been found & returned to his owners. A recent survey asked Americans if "flirting" with an A.I. program counts as cheating on your significant other…and about 1/4 of people think it does. Elsewhere in sports, the baseball HOF got some new inductees this weekend, Jacoby Brissett gets a nice contract extension, the 49ers head coach was involved in a pretty serious accident recently, John Tortarella is looking to coach again, and the NFLPA is investigating the Panthers after a player got seriously injured on the very first day of training camp! And in today's edition of "Bad News with Happy Music", we had stories about a #FloridaMan who broke into a neighbor's house and made himself a margarita, a #FloridaWoman who stabbed her friend with a pair of scissors, a guy who got stuck inside of a gas station sign for several hours, a couple of guys who parachuted off the space needle in Seattle, and a woman on a Carnival cruise ship that was scratching her feet with a fork.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

In case you've been living under a rock this week, we've had ourselves a week here at Dirty Mo Media — so why don't we take the best 30 mins, package it into a highlight show, just like we do every week. Deal? Deal. We start off with Dirty Air, where Carson "The Hurricane" Hocevar plays host for Dale Jr. while he's out doing something or other in California in between San Diego & Sonoma. Carson dives into the incident between him and first-time winner Corey Heim, the celebration the fans missed out on, and... oh yeah, Cleetus calls in. Next up, Denny Hamlin discusses the final battle between his two drivers, Tyler Reddick & Corey Heim. Did Tyler do the right thing by letting Corey go? DH's answer might surprise you. On Business of Motorsports with Kelley Earnhardt Miller, CEO of Lionel Racing, Howard Hitchcock explains the process of getting diecasts into consumers' hands, and how it takes longer than you might think. Lastly, Ray Evernham was a guest on Door Bumper Clear, along with Bozi Tatarevic, and we asked Ray when he knew Jeff Gordon was a star. That's all for this week! See you next time on Dirty Thirty. There's a hurricane in the Arby's studio. That's right – Carson Hocevar AKA ‘The Hurricane' dropped by today to fill in for Dale Jr as our host for DJD – and this episode was unforgettable. Right out of the gate, Dale Facetimed Carson, thinking that taping had just ended, but in fact, it was just getting started. Carson filled everyone in on his relationship with spotter Tyler Green, how the two navigated Naval Base Coronado, and the winning celebration that every fan would've been talking about had Carson pulled off the victory. In typical Hocevar fashion, Carson gave his takes on Reddick's sportsmanship while racing Heim for the win, his own run-in with Corey Heim, Noah Gragson's heated discussion with Kevin Magnussen, and so much more from the race weekend in San Diego. Cleetus McFarland also calls into the show to talk for a quick minute, right before Carson gets back to more of his opinions on all things NASCAR. Plus, a Kay Adams update. We may be missing Freddie as he is on vocal rest, but we replaced him with TWO beasts of the industry -- Ray Evernham & Bozi Tatarevic! Tommy starts us off how only he can, and it doesn't take long for us to get knee-deep in all things San Diego. The crew discusses the racing that happened over the weekend, from Tyler Reif coming so close to Sam Mayer's massive hit. In Spot On, Spot Off, the topics were: - Was San Diego better than Chicago and Mexico City? - Could Corey Heim have been a playoff contender this year in Cup? - Discussing Taylor Gray's move on Carson Kvapil - Jimmie Johnson's comments on the lack of respect in the Truck Series As usual, we get to hear from our fans, and one of them *allegedly* used their one phone call from jail to join the show. After that, we hear from NASCAR's Jerry Kaproth on everything that went into making the race at San Diego happen — and how Ty Gibbs almost blew the surprise. In Ask DBC, we ask Bozi to power rank pit crews and Ray Evernham about when he knew Jeff Gordon was a future G.O.A.T. They round it all out with DBC Picks and weekend winners, which didn't hit the same without Freddie — so he needs to come back soon! Catch you guys next time on DBC. Fresh off his Nashville victory, Denny Hamlin is back on Actions Detrimental to break down one of the wildest weekends of the season. The biggest story? A bet between The Denny Bros and the No. 45 team that escalated far beyond its original low-stakes beginnings. What started as friendly trash talk turned into a full-blown competition, with the stakes getting higher throughout the weekend and bragging rights hanging in the balance. Denny also walks through his race-winning performance, from fighting through the field with a car that wasn't built for dirty air to executing the late-race restarts that put him in position to battle for the win. He explains what he was thinking during the closing laps, why he felt confident on the bottom groove, and how everything came together at the right time to deliver one of the most unlikely and rewarding victories of his career. The conversation also covers the decision to stay out on old tires, Nashville's unique racing characteristics, tire strategy, brake issues throughout the field, standout performances from across the garage, Ross Chastain's playoff outlook, Corey Heim's promotion to a full-time Cup ride with 23XI Racing, and what lies ahead as the series heads to Michigan.
