In case you've been living under a rock this week, we've had ourselves a week here at Dirty Mo Media — so why don't we take the best 30 mins, package it into a highlight show, just like we do every week. Deal? Deal. We start off with Dirty Air, where Carson "The Hurricane" Hocevar plays host for Dale Jr. while he's out doing something or other in California in between San Diego & Sonoma. Carson dives into the incident between him and first-time winner Corey Heim, the celebration the fans missed out on, and... oh yeah, Cleetus calls in. Next up, Denny Hamlin discusses the final battle between his two drivers, Tyler Reddick & Corey Heim. Did Tyler do the right thing by letting Corey go? DH's answer might surprise you. On Business of Motorsports with Kelley Earnhardt Miller, CEO of Lionel Racing, Howard Hitchcock explains the process of getting diecasts into consumers' hands, and how it takes longer than you might think. Lastly, Ray Evernham was a guest on Door Bumper Clear, along with Bozi Tatarevic, and we asked Ray when he knew Jeff Gordon was a star. That's all for this week! See you next time on Dirty Thirty. There's a hurricane in the Arby's studio. That's right – Carson Hocevar AKA ‘The Hurricane' dropped by today to fill in for Dale Jr as our host for DJD – and this episode was unforgettable. Right out of the gate, Dale Facetimed Carson, thinking that taping had just ended, but in fact, it was just getting started. Carson filled everyone in on his relationship with spotter Tyler Green, how the two navigated Naval Base Coronado, and the winning celebration that every fan would've been talking about had Carson pulled off the victory. In typical Hocevar fashion, Carson gave his takes on Reddick's sportsmanship while racing Heim for the win, his own run-in with Corey Heim, Noah Gragson's heated discussion with Kevin Magnussen, and so much more from the race weekend in San Diego. Cleetus McFarland also calls into the show to talk for a quick minute, right before Carson gets back to more of his opinions on all things NASCAR. Plus, a Kay Adams update. We may be missing Freddie as he is on vocal rest, but we replaced him with TWO beasts of the industry -- Ray Evernham & Bozi Tatarevic! Tommy starts us off how only he can, and it doesn't take long for us to get knee-deep in all things San Diego. The crew discusses the racing that happened over the weekend, from Tyler Reif coming so close to Sam Mayer's massive hit. In Spot On, Spot Off, the topics were: - Was San Diego better than Chicago and Mexico City? - Could Corey Heim have been a playoff contender this year in Cup? - Discussing Taylor Gray's move on Carson Kvapil - Jimmie Johnson's comments on the lack of respect in the Truck Series As usual, we get to hear from our fans, and one of them *allegedly* used their one phone call from jail to join the show. After that, we hear from NASCAR's Jerry Kaproth on everything that went into making the race at San Diego happen — and how Ty Gibbs almost blew the surprise. In Ask DBC, we ask Bozi to power rank pit crews and Ray Evernham about when he knew Jeff Gordon was a future G.O.A.T. They round it all out with DBC Picks and weekend winners, which didn't hit the same without Freddie — so he needs to come back soon! Catch you guys next time on DBC. Back to the grind. After another busy weekend, here we are…at work. Again. Not only that, but I must have slept wrong and my shoulder is all out of whack and in a ton of pain. Had a very successful charity golf outing on Friday. Spent Saturday morning doing laundry & mowing the lawn…ran a few errands…went to the Speedway for the Smash-O-Rama. Then we had another parade yesterday with the Oktoberfest Grenadiers. I'm pooped! In the news this morning, a news anchor from Iowa quits live on-air, a new Miss Wisconsin is crowned, an airline passenger bit another person on the plane and was allegedly trying to fight everyone on board, another idiot tourist got too close to a bison at Yellowstone Park, In sports, the Brewers dropped two out of three to the Braves this weekend but managed to get a 9-4 win yesterday, Pat Murphy is getting a couple of procedures in the next few weeks, Team USA beat Australia on Friday & is on to the round of 32 in the World Cup, Corey Heim got his first NASCAR win yesterday at the Naval Base, and Wyndham Clark won his second U.S. Open this weekend after leading the tournament wire to wire. We talked about what's on TV today/tonight and Brian started watching a couple of shows on Netflix this weekend, including "Michael Jackson: The Verdict" and "Trust Me: The False Prophet" Are Dogs > Cats? Some new research may show that cats don't relieve stress as well as dogs can. Elsewhere in sports, Brady Tkachuk is headed to Florida to play with his brother, Jonathan Toews retires from hockey, a former U.S. Olympian is arrested after allegedly vandalizing the Reflecting Pool in D.C., and a fan climbs over the fence at a NASCAR race to have a chat with one of the drivers. An injured sea turtle was saved by some vets and is now back in the ocean and doing well…a man in Louisiana heroically saved a family that was in danger of drowning, and a woman who recently got married was walked down the aisle by the man who received her father's heart in an organ donation. We talked about some of our snacking habits, and we discussed the new number to shoot for when you're trying to retire. And in today's edition of "Bad News with Happy Music", we had stories about an 85 year-old man who was racing his Nissan while smoking a cigarillo, the Governor of Massachusetts declared haggis "legal", a food delivery robot that got caught in a S.W.A.T. operation, a #FloridaWoman who assaulted a man with her pickleball paddle, and another #FloridaMan tried to steal a med-vac copter.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Fresh off his Nashville victory, Denny Hamlin is back on Actions Detrimental to break down one of the wildest weekends of the season. The biggest story? A bet between The Denny Bros and the No. 45 team that escalated far beyond its original low-stakes beginnings. What started as friendly trash talk turned into a full-blown competition, with the stakes getting higher throughout the weekend and bragging rights hanging in the balance. He explains what he was thinking during the closing laps, why he felt confident on the bottom groove, and how everything came together at the right time to deliver one of the most unlikely and rewarding victories of his career. The conversation also covers the decision to stay out on old tires, Nashville's unique racing characteristics, tire strategy, brake issues throughout the field, standout performances from across the garage, Ross Chastain's playoff outlook, Corey Heim's promotion to a full-time Cup ride with 23XI Racing, and what lies ahead as the series heads to Michigan. Episode 181 is on the scene and we end our 2026 Kulwicki Driver Development Program Series with third generation star Penn Sauter. Penn who is the son of former Craftsman Truck Series Champion Johnny Sauter and grandson of the legendary Midwestern competitor Jim talks to us about his upcoming season growing up in a racing family and if he faces any pressure to live up to the Sauter name and reputation. Kristian Armstead grew up in Michigan but has settled in nicely in the South Boston area of Virginia racing in the Hornets Division. Last Saturday during Danville Toyota Race Night, him and his small team of three's hard work paid off with his first win ever at the speedway. Kristian joins us to discuss his career so far, what it means for him to win at a speedway that has seen so many legends do the same and overcoming some of the faster cars to claim his first win of what he hopes to be many. Julian was at SoBo on Saturday and the boys reviewed the other racing action from the Halifax County facility. From Trevor Ward picking up twin second place finishes to Peyton Sellers and Johnny Layne adding to their impressive career win totals in Late Models and Pure Stocks respectively to Jacob Derrick's late pass on Drew Dawson to win in Limiteds, it was quite the opening day for three of the track's four divisions. We spoke with Bobby McCarty following his win in the second race. For McCarty, it has been a struggle the last few seasons getting his new team up and going and yes, there were times he thought it was over for him. Saturday proved otherwise by returning to victory lane just like Lee Pulliam did two weeks ago. After a week off from the Cup Series and hopefully a Happy Easter (yes, even for you Denny Bros) — the Door Bumper Clear crew is back and joined by a Hall of Famer in NASCAR and on our guest list, Mark Martin! To start the show, Mark and the gang rehash all the happenings from this weekend's O'Reilly, Truck, & ARCA Series races at Rockingham. But first, Mark tells the story of how he once tried to hire Tommy Baldwin to be his crew chief. After that, we dive into some Spot On, Spot Off, where we cover: - Should the Cup Series go to Rockingham? - Where did Cleetus McFarland perform according to our expectations of him? - Why shouldn't Corey Heim be able to compete for the Truck Series Chase? In Reaction Theatre this week, it was short, but it packed a punch, with fans calling in to thank Mark how only they can, ask about Tommy's car warranty, and more nonsense as usual. Is it really S*** Show Hall of Fame if Connor Zilisch doesn't show up? Also, Mark Martin talks about racing in the rain, Tommy calls the SMART Tour race pathetic, and we all react to the massive pile-up at Port Royal. Lastly, we call out our Weekend Winners and tease our guest for next week - and you guys will never be able to guess who it is... See you then! Coming off Throwback/Alumni weekend for NASCAR at Darlington, Phil and Josh are here to discuss all three races at the track Too Tough To Tame. Tyler Reddick had to overcome multiple issues and the speed of Brad Keselowski to win his fourth race out of six to start the 2026 Cup Series season. The guys go over how he did so, other players and the points heading to Martinsville. Justin Allgaier utilized a poor final pit stop by Kyle Larson's crew and a strong restart to win his second race of the season in the O'Reilly Series and add to his points lead. Corey Heim used new tires and overtime restarts to make it back to the front for his first Truck Series win of 2026, while teammate and replacement Kayden Honeycutt dominated. Phil and Josh do their reviews, provide their takes and give updates leading into Martinsville and Rockingham respectively. A busy GSP Roundup covers IMSA at Sebring, NHRA, MotoGP/Moto2, Formula E, Supercross, World Superbike and Indy NXT before the guys come back together to make their picks for the Formula 1 Japanese Grand Prix, IndyCar at Barber and NASCAR Cup/O'Reilly at Martinsville. Josh lets us know all things going on in iRacing on the Sim Segment and Phil mentions his participation in a sim race at G-Force Racing Lounge before the usual social media updates.
Your Monday just got a whole lot better - Door Bumper Clear is HERE, and we have Matt Weaver joining us to talk Darlington, short tracks, and ... pizza? In the opening segment, we cover the whole wide world of racing, starting with the situation surrounding Matt & the Rattler at South Alabama Speedway. The crew then dives into whether or not the race at Darlington lived up to the hype the drivers have been hinting at. They also discuss Corey Heim's realistic chances to run well in the Cup Series and why it's not as easy as fans think it is. In Spot On, Spot Off, the topics covered were: - Tyler Reddick's chances to win the Regular Season Championship - Should Hendrick hit the panic button? - Justin Allgaier winning the NOAPS title before Homestead - The Chase Format vs. The Playoff Format Reaction Theatre did not disappoint, with Blaney fans calling in, people calling for Freddie to cut his hair, and a fan who is rather enthusiastic about his wife. In S*** Show Hall of Fame, we dive into the world of cycling, on-deck circles, and Max Verstappen's disqualification. This week's Ask DBC gets to the real nitty-gritty with Matt Weaver, with a debate about Chicago and New York style pizza ... oh, and which short track more fans should go visit.
