St. Joseph County Commissioners Tuesday delayed a vote on abolishing the county board of voter registration, after a number of people attending the meeting raised questions about the appearance of political bias. Commissioners will take it up again in their January 24th meeting. The county is one of only three in Indiana still maintaining a board of voter registration, and proponents say ending it would save money and distribute its work inside the county clerk's office. Indiana 3rd District Congressman Jim Banks says he will seek Indiana's open US Senate seat next year. Senator Mike Braun is giving up the seat to seek the Republican nomination for Governor. Banks has become known as one of the more conservative Republicans in Congress. Indiana Democratic party chair Mike Schmuhl says Banks cares more about being on Tucker Carlson's Fox News TV show than the future of Indiana. Southwest Airlines reports 90% of the passengers that suffered through the airline's holiday cancellations have gotten a refund, and the remaining 10% can expect theirs in the next few days. Southwest added that all bags with name tags on them have been returned as well. The Dallas-based airline said it will spend more than a billion dollars on system upgrades to avoid a repeat of mass flight cancellations over Christmas. Notre Dame men's basketball took an 84-71 loss last night at Purcell Pavilion against Florida State. The 7th ranked Notre Dame women play tomorrow night at Clemson. And with everything else going on right now, we're still dealing with the shear stupidity of racism. Andre is not hopeful for change based on past evidence. Chris talks about his NASCAR roots, Andre doesn't see a way back for the majority of sports leagues as Texas reopens their sports. (01:14:05) Politics…again - The sports discussion ultimately leads the guys to talk about politics again as Chris points out the stark difference between the previous two Republican Presidential candidates and the current President, the guys discuss the negative impacts of the evolution of media on politics. Fortunately, the Chris wraps up this part of the conversation with a quick recap of his issues with House of Cards. (01:22:40) Technology - In their quest for a new website, Andre has renewed his hatred for all things Docker and talks about his quest for a static website CMS to appease Chris, the guys gripe about shiny object syndrome and inefficiency in the developer community and discuss the potential issues of remote workers competing for jobs across the globe. Since then he's written more than twenty books on Arizona and the West. Trimble is one of the state's most popular speakers and performers. He's also an educator, lecturer, folk singer and stage performer.  Trimble has received many honors both as a historian, writer and performer. In 1997, the governor of Arizona appointed him Official State Historian. In 2000, he was selected as one of Arizona's representatives in the Library of Congress' “Local Legacies.”  In 2003 he was named a Charter Member of the Arizona Culturekeepers.
