Here it is. You've made it down to the show notes. I'm so proud of you for finding them! Sometimes they can be a bit hard to find. I know for me personally I always have a hard time finding them. It's like I just can't remember how to get to them and then I find myself just back on the podcast's basic page, and then I keep repeating this until I finally hit some button that takes me to the show notes. However, I never retain which button it is so I have to repeat the process every single time. But alas! You aren't here to hear about my experience with show notes. I've bet you've come here to find links that were discussed during the show. The most important one, I think, is the link for Jackey's painting classes! I sure hope you'll look into them. I know I want to! Jackies Painting Classes I forgot which playboy edition we talk about Jackie being in; however, I did find the edition on ebay for about 8 bucks, so if you are interested in reading more, you can find it there!
In 1966 director Hal Warren unleased "Manos The Hands of Fate" in a small theatre in El Paso, Texas. After a short run, the film seemed to be lost to time until the iconic "Mystery Science Theatre 3000" found a copy and aired it for it's audience of acerbic, riffing aliens. One of the stars of the film happened to be watching that episode when she recognized her father, her dog and herself magically in front of her eyes, at long last reunited with a home movie to end all home movies. In this episode, Jackey Neyman discusses the strange stories behind what many consider the worst movie of all time, a mantle she embraces with grace. It is the second of our Halloween episodes! At the age of six, Jackey made her feature film debut in what has been widely considered the worst film ever made, Manos, the Hands of Fate. Long thought to bw lost media until it was unearthed by the crew at Mystery Science Theater 3000, the movie has now become part of pop culture history. There are stage adaptations, including the brilliant puppet version, Manos, the Hands of Felt, references in various television shows, a video game, and RiffTrax did an updated riff on it in 2012. Jackey tells me some of her memories of making the film, and we talk about her life and current projects. I had a heart touching interview with Jackey Neyman Jones and I am excited to share it with you! In this conversation we connected on the experience of life and death, having both lost the life of a best friend in our own life times, we touched on this subject, the experience, values and insights we both had from the event. Jackey shared her life and story, from childhood to where she is now and her ambitions for the future. She openly talked on her life growing up, having a artistic father who became a known movie star in a cult classic film. It was fascinating to hear her side of the story, what it felt like to be a 6 year old on a movie set to moving to California with her father to grow in her own ventures and also keep an eye on his health and wellbeing. It resonated to us both the power of perception, how the slightest change can change everything. I know you will enjoy this episode and you can find Jackey online through the links below. I appreciate you being here and listening

What makes a film transcendently bad? A cult classic, as opposed to merely unwatchable? Child Jackey appeared in 1966's Manos: The Hands of Fate, and she joins Mark, Erica, and Brian to discuss growing up in community theater, being reintroduced to her family movie by MST3K, and the over-confident auteur. On this week’s Damn Dirty Drive-In, Greg, Ben and Robb are joined by special guest Ryan Luis Rodriguez, from the Coolness Chronicles podcast, to indict the 1989 comedy sequel “Ghostbusters II” on the Reels of Justice. Also, Jackey Neyman Jones from “Manos: The Hands of Fate” stops by to discuss the premiere of “Manos Returns” on Amazon Prime streaming. Plus, the gang debuts a brand new sketch entitled “Today is the First Day,” featuring Kevin Caliber Thomsen, Jeremiah Benjamin, Jack Bennett, and Robb Maynard. And finally, on the Damn Dirty Deli, Erik treats the entire gang to a refreshing batch of Aloe Vera Drink (yum yum)! All this and a mutant sloth who just wants some friggin’ Ecto Cooler already, on the Damn Dirty Drive-In!
FANS: Jackey Neyman Jones is an artist, actor and author who will forever be tied to one of the worst films of all-time... Manos: the Hands of Fate (1966). Jackey played young Debbie and her father, the late Tom Neyman, played The Master. She delivers production details, recounts the film's premiere, and shares how she rediscovered it via MST3K. She also discusses the props and costumes she recreates for sale, her acclaimed Manos autobiography, and upcoming film projects, including the long-awaited Manos sequel! FILMS: While The Master is away, we set about dissecting the atrocity known as Manos: The Hands of Fate (1966). We are perplexed by the editing, nauseated by the music, share our favorite lines, ask Jackey to rate the movie with us for the Cult Filmometer, and recast all the roles in our now famous Total Recast! segment. Also: lots of Torgo talk! FINDS: Indiana Jones 5 names its director, The Rock as Black Adam, Chris Evans and The Little Shop of Horrors remake, cult Blu-ray news, and much more!

Our own Frank Dietz recently flew the Damn Dirty Geekjet to Colorado to visit with members of The Revival League Podcast -- Greg Tally, Robb Maynard, Ron McAdams and Jackey Neyman Jones, the actress who survived playing young Debbie in the notorious MST'ed film target MANOS: THE HANDS OF FATE. The gang starts off disussing the recent Revival League radio play "What About Blob?", a parody of the classic 1950s teen horror film starring our honorary Damn Dirty Geek, Brian Howe, along with Dietz and MST3K alums Trace Beaulieu and Frank Conniff. The Revival League has produced nine audio plays along these lines, including a Shakespearean parody of PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE and a riff on Orson Welles' War of the Worlds broadcast. DDG listeners have already sampled The Revival League's comedy stylings in our previous Shorts in a Bunch: Back to School episode, also including Dietz, Beaulieu and Conniff. The Revivalists give listeners previews of fun new plays and shows in their pipeline. Greg, Rob, Ron and Jackey also share their own "geek origins" stories about growing up on a wide range of influences including Godzilla and Toho films, Monty Python comedy, A Muppet Christmas Carol, and '90s TV horror shows. Jackey also shares a behind-the-scenes story about the making of and premiere of MANOS when she was a child. Now it's time to meet the Revival League in our latest podcast episode! Get photos and more info about this episode on the Damn Dirty Geeks website.

Meanwhile, Greg, Robb, Ron, and special guests Frank Dietz and Jackey Neyman Jones chat about “What About Blob?”, blue soda, and what’s going on in the world of riffing. All this and way too many mentions of October 30th, on this week’s episode of the Revival League Podcast. Good gravy! The Revival League Podcast proudly presents our newest original comedy radio play, “It's a Tell Tale Valentine, Eddie Poe!.” It's Middle America, 1973. And the Independence Broadcasting System is airing its Tenth Anniversary Special of the beloved classic, “It's a Tell Tale Valentine, Eddie Poe!" (With special behind-the-scenes commentary from Gothic horror cartoonist and Eddie Poe creator, Edgar Allen Poe). Everyone agrees that out of all the Eddie Poes out there, Eddie Poe is the Eddie-Poe-iest. He's insecure, unpopular, chronically depressed, and possibly mad; a ten-year-old poet whose only buddies are cape-wearing Lionel and Eddie Poe's dog, Snooby the Anthropomorphic Basset Hound. So when the Little Strawberry-Haired Girl, Lenore, sends this tortured soul a Tell-Tale Valentine, Eddie Poe must take drastic measures to preserve his sanity and hide his secret love. All while he's directing the other kids in a Singles Shaming Day Pageant to celebrate the holidays! Join Eddie Poe, Spearmint Sally, Annabel Lucy, Schrödinger, Woodraven and the rest of the Eddie Poe gang in a heart-thumping, angst-filled descent into madness that can only signal that it's Valentine's Day. Consumption! Pits and pendulums! Polly Matthison Snack Cakes! Terrible gothic poetry! Supernatural tachycardia! So please grab some chalky candied hearts, some overpriced flowers bought last minute at the gas station, and settle in for a story of dark secrets and unrequited love. It’s the Revival League’s 100th episode! If these episodes were Dalmatians, the podcast would be just one away from either starring in a Disney movie or running a puppy mill! Regardless, it’s the big One-Oh-Oh, so the podcast gang – Ryan, Greg, Ron, James, Erica, Erik, Robb, Natalie (and alas, no Kate) – gather to celebrate and reminisce. They start where they began, with a Mini Soda Review of Fentiman’s Dandelion and Burdock. Have their attitudes changed towards Fentiman’s, given all the crappy sodas they’ve tasted in the interim? The answer might underwhelm you! The gang is joined by “Manos: The Hands Of Fate” actress Jackey Neyman Jones, who debuts her new podcast, “Jackey’s Hand of Horror” immediately after the Revival League Podcast. But first, Jackey takes the reins to interview the Revival League’s guest #1 – none other than Jim Henson Puppeteer Grant Baciocco, the man behind MST3K’s Golden Spiderduck, Crow T. Robot! And there’s A Very Adamant Stance against Greg’s Porg onesie, which dammit, he just refuses to button. All this, and a very special “Smucker’s 100 episodes young” greeting from Al Roker on the, “Today Show,” on this week’s episode of the Revival League Podcast! And make sure to stay tuned afterward for the premiere episode of Jackey's Hand of Horror! On their very first episode, Jackey, Tonia and Rachel talk about puppets and review a movie trailer for a classic 80s horror film, and Jackey chats with Mike Senna, the builder of amazing, functional replicas of famous movie robots like WALL-E, EVE, and, of course, R2D2! On this episode of the Revival League Podcast, Kate once again ropes in special guests Ron McAdams and the ghost of James Rohling to fill in while Greg and Ryan are locked away completing the Christmas special. Kate, Ron and Ghost James chat about upcoming movies and whether Tommy Wiseau is an alien, and Kate decides that James just can't live up to Ryan's rage quotient. And in a previously recorded interview, Ryan and Kate chat with RiffTrax writer Sean Thomason about his love for MST3K, getting the job at RiffTrax, and surviving "Batman v. Superman". In "Reviewers in the MST," James and Ron examine the calamity that is "Pumaman". Will they survive the experience? Will Ryan ever tire of the cruel and unfunny joke that James is a ghost? The answers to all this and a wronged platypus out for revenge on this week's episode of the Revival League Podcast! PLUS: Make sure to tune in next week for the Revival League Podcast's epic, feature-length comedy radio play: "Soylent Scrooge; or, Christmas is Made of People" -- a heartwarming retelling of "A Christmas Carol", with all the cannibalism and fourth-wall-breaking Dickens would've wanted. On this episode of the Revival League Podcast, we chat with actor, comedian, and new voice of the old Tom Servo Baron Vaughn! Baron talks about getting the part, his roots as a comedian, and the difference between writing stand-up and writing for MST3K. Also in this episode, "Manos" star Jackey Neyman Jones drops in to let fans know about an attempt to snatch "Manos" out of the public domain, and how you can help prevent that from happening. Meanwhile, Greg insists the Power Rangers movie is the next "Citizen Kane," Kate discusses the science of cats, and Ryan fills us in on the Jean-Claude Van Damme classic, "Cyborg." Plus, James endures "Hercules Against the Moon Men." All this and a cricket deity, on this week's episode of the Revival League Podcast. BUT WAIT! Don't touch that dial! Immediately following the Revival League Podcast, we're pleased to present the premiere of 10 Backward, the latest podcast on the DENA network. James Rohling and Ron McAdams are tackling "Star Trek: The Next Generation" episode by episode -- but they're doing it in reverse! It's like opposite day, every day! EDITOR’S NOTE: In June 2019, this podcast merged with the Damn Dirty Geeks Podcast and became The Damn Dirty Drive-in. These are our classic back catalog episodes, dating back to March 2016. Please enjoy! The new Drive-In podcast opens for business with original sketches, movie discussions, interviews, weird food tastings and more at Episode 168.
This week, our hosts interview Jackey Neyman Jones and Tonjia Atomic from the upcoming film Manos Returns (currently on Kickstarter!), as well as discuss Deadpool and Frank Castle's Free Candy Van. The song this week is 'Careless Whisper' by WHAM!.
