Carl and Mike open up the show with Falcons talk as they preview their conversation with Jake Matthews and how they plan to talk with the veteran offensive lineman about how well the o-line played last week and how they can build off of it, especially in regards to the red zone as they were 1-5. They then react to comments from Michael Penix Jr. as he explained his decision making in regards to taking deep shots or settling for checkdowns to which they agree is a sign of the QB's maturity.

Carl and Mike briefly revisit their conversation with Raheem Morris as they discuss Morris' comments in regards to the offense taking what defenses give them versus being compelled to force plays such as big plays down the field by Michael Penix Jr. They are then joined by Jake Matthews who share the pride of the o-line is what led to them performing better in Week 2 against the Vikings.

Carl and Mike come back with more Falcons talk and share thoughts on their conversations with Raheem Morris and Jake Matthews in which they both told the guys the offensive line took it personal in regards to how poorly they played in the season opener and therefore their pride led to their turnaround in Week 2 against the Vikings. They also discuss why they believe the play of Michael Penix Jr. should not be undersold as he was efficient enough due to the fact the ground game was having success and therefore there was no need for Penix Jr. to be forced to make big plays down field.

In the 3rd hour of today's show, the guys chat LIVE with Falcons tackle Jake Matthews, and he discusses how the offensive line was challenged ahead of Game 2. Wes Durham previews Sunday vs the Panthers.

Carl and Mike get back to some Falcons talk as they share more thoughts on their observations in which they believe Drake London and Michael Penix Jr. have the Joe Montana to Jerry Rice energy. They also share thoughts on Jake Matthews and Kaleb McGary getting a rest day to which they believe if the starting linemen will not be playing in the preseason game on Friday, then it is good Michael Penix Jr. is not playing as well.

Carl and Mike are joined by Jake Matthews as he shares why the intensity taking place in Falcons training camp is a great example of iron sharpening iron.
