Katrina asked what do all peak performers have in common that affects their relationships Why does Kiné see finances and relationships go hand in hand? Does the search for wealth denote a lack of finding meaning in what they do or does it fulfill a void that the relationship has not been able to fulfill? Katrina asks what can be done to do the necessary changes and what is controllable? How can your definition of wealth derail you and how can you redefine your idea of wealth? Katrina asks her favorite question, which is, what necessary to coach/teach people effectively? Who is Kiné Corder? How do you and your partner discuss money? Do you have a monthly budget meetup? Or is only one in charge of the money? Kine Corder is a financial planning couple coach. She set up Prosperity Club, where she helps couples talk about their ideas of prosperity, their financial goals and how to find the best connection for them. This episode is packed with a ton of actionable advice! You'll love how intriguing her story is. We also chat about... How Kine got interested in money and relationships The recurrent and main theme in a relationship with money How to put her advice into practice Advice for partners reaching FIRE Success stories Enjoy this chat with Kine, and please subscribe to us in iTunes if you enjoyed it! Show notes and links from today's episode Website: Kine Corder Book: The Art of Starting Over Kine's free course Prosperity Club Kine on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook ClassPass Key takeaways from our chat with Kine 1 - The main theme in relationships Kine explained this brilliantly: prosperity. Partners clash when they have different ideas on what prosperity means for each one. Prosperity could be about earning more, saving more, giving more. When two people have a different idea on what prosperity means for them and can't decide how to work together, Kine has a solution: A Marriage Money Mission. This means writing down what you and your partner want to do with: Earning money Growing your money Protecting your money Giving It's important that both you and your partner are on the same page for your goals, because as Kine says, the further away you are from your idea of prosperity, the unhappier you are. So in order to be able to work on those goals together with your partner, you need to follow a process. Kine describes it as: Awareness -> Acceptance -> Adjustment -> Plan -> Progress Kine explains this in detail on the episode. 2 - Putting this into practice In theory it all makes sense, but the hardest part is, as always, putting it into practice. Thankfully, Kine has pretty awesome resources to do this. Not only does she have a course (in show notes above!), but she helps you use the right words when talking to your partner. The most important ones are: 'I feel like xyz, and I need xyz' So for example: 'I feel like my idea of prosperity is to earn more money, and so I need to work on this side-hustle' She also recommends taking turns with your partner. One day, you talk about your goals and your idea of prosperity. The next day, it's your partner's turn. You ask him/her questions, you do your research, you try to understand why this is so important for them. Kine does this with her clients at least once a month. 3 - What if my partner is not interested in pursuing FIRE? A very important question that comes up quite often in the FIRE community. And Kine has an awesome answer for it. As illustrated before, you each take turns in explaining what your goals and what your idea of prosperity is. You pour it all out. And then can do these three things: Connect Compromise Celebrate Connect means doing his/her dream, and the doing your dream. Taking turns and going full on with each one. Compromise means sacrificing a little bit to gain something else; trust and love. Meeting in the middle. Celebrate means celebrating what you are doing together and the work you're putting in to live out each others dreams. By working together to reach each other's dreams, you get to experience both a fulfilling life and a healthy and happy relationship. Kine does this face to face with clients, helping them determine what their dreams are and how to communicate them to their partner. At the end she also shares with us an awesome success story and how you can get started on communicating efficiently with your partner. Questions? Like or dislike? Leave us a comment! Social Strategy Podcast: The Best in Business, Wealth and Mindset
Did you know that 85% of your money mindset starts at about the age of 3 years old? That my friends was a real shock to me and changed the entire direction of this amazing conversation. My guest Kine´Corder is a business and wealth mindset coach and as you know the format of the podcast has changed to focus of course on business but to also address the aspects of how success happens. Wealth and mindset are key points to consider when building your business and your lifestyle. Kine´is the first certified hypnotherapist I've had as a guest and I'm sure you will find her approach interesting. One of part of the conversation I found enlightening, we touched on was the generational wealth and how it was a part of her family structure which led to us talking about my favorite subject hustle, but to hear that story you have to listen to the episode Connect with Kine Corder: presidentiallifestyle.com Featured Partnership: Media.net As you know I'm always working to bring new sponsors to the show that will provide value and help your business. That's why in October whilst attending Fincon (Financial Bloggers Conference) I met up with the people from Media.net to talk about how they could help me and my audience. So here's the great thing about Media.net, the support it truly over the top. I've dealt with ad networks before that would provide contextual ads or ad blocks that either was very intrusive or took too much work to get the ads to be relevant for my visitors, and not just a cookied ad that followed them around. Admittedly I was reluctant to introduce an ad block or any sort of ad to my site until looking at some of the people Media.net was working within the blogging world. Once I saw blogs and the people I respect were Media.net Ambassadors I was in! So all I'm asking of you as a visitor to the site and as a listener of the podcast is that you check them out via my link and give a few of the ads a try. Just click on the link to go to my custom page https://media.net/vernon Sponsors: Podbean.com & Book Like a Boss If you've booked time with me, you know my 10-minute triage calls then you've used my scheduling link. It's a service that's good and I didn't have any real complaints except it's on the expensive side. I've used Schedule Once since I started podcasting so I'm pretty vested in it, but it's time to say goodbye. It's all Noah Kagen's fault, that's right! If not for AppSumo I would have never discovered Book Like a Boss. I picked it up on a Sumo Deal => Check them here, but then did nothing with it for months. I was just to busy to be bothered at the time, but over the holiday season, one of my goals was to review everything I had purchased from a tools perspective and then either use it in my business or get rid of it. After spending about 1 hour playing around I had a full booking page linked to my Skype account and ready to roll. Here's the page: Vernon's Book Like A Boss Page Great page and I have a special link I can send to my podcast guest to schedule and it all goes on my calendar and it's a one time charge! Not only is it more affordable I've already had conversations with the CEO and love they are working on innovation with the platform and it's already pretty slick. You can grab it now on a special Lifetime Deal with this link, Get the Deal I would love to know what you think of the page and if you think it would be useful. Don't worry if you're not interested in buying it but want to try it out first just click the view all our plans link on the page and sign-up for free.
