#fiction #urbanfiction #yorkboundpublication #kareemrahman #books #blacklove Little E jumped up out of bed and headed for the bathroom with a huge grin on his face. He was going to get to hang with his older brother Justin today. Not just for a little while, but for the whole day! To most 12 year old boys, hanging with their older brother would not have been a big deal. That wasn't the case for Little E. Justin was his idol. He wanted to be just like Justin since he could remember. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/nayze-media/message

From technical difficulties and cancelled guests to a member of the core four dropping out earlier, this episode was a mess to edit, bet hella fun to record.First off… HUGE NEWS! We have a merchandise shop! Visit https://urstore.ca/no-instructions-needed-podcast for all our swag! The boys start off by figuring out that the Big D is pretty tipsy, which leads the wobbly crew of four to talk smoking weed and running in the Olympics (4:14). Chaps had to step away for a minute so the guys get the Euro Cup in (14:00). Well, the Big O was right about the Clippers all along (22:22). When you get a card...how long do you keep them (26:00). A Little E cancels last second (30:30). Then… OH, MAN does a Jet Li conversation ever erupt (37:00). When you gotta go, you gotta go (40:30). Big fights are coming up soon with Conor Mcgregor taking on Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 (46:00) which also leads to a talk about Trevor Bauer. And, somehow in the midst of UFC, Baseball, and Leonardo DiCaprio, the Big O slips out and the remaining trio finishes the episode on their lonesome (54:00).Thanks for coming back. Thanks for being apart of the chaos. And, most importantly, thanks for living life with No Instructions Needed.

"The idea of representation stems from allyship, but more importantly, giving Black people the space they need to fulfill their potential." -Traci Welcome back to Dive Right In with Jackie and Hannah! This week, we start off the episode by discussing Black History Month and how important it is to have minority representation in all walks of life. We then welcome Traci back for a third time on to the podcast to discuss how her experiences as a Black person have affected her outlook and her activism. One of the main points of our interview with Traci is discussing the differences between Tolerance and Acceptance. We discuss why being able to see people without bias is important and ways we can combat internalized biases. Furthering this, Traci brings up how BIPOC portrayal in children's books is lacking and highlights Little E: the Big Misunderstanding by Dr. Eddie Moore. This book speaks about diversity and acceptance in a way that is comfortable for young people. Furthering this discussion, we talk about racial inequality as a whole and how the Black and BIPOC communities are disproportionately affected by police brutality. Wrapping up, we touch on the role that social media has in suppressing diverse voices and the importance of combatting that. We are so appreciative of the time that Traci spent speaking with us; make sure to tune in next week as we will be dedicating the entire episode to discussing Black History month, why it is important, and historical Black figures who have and have not been given the recognition they deserve. As always, we hope you enjoy the episode, stay safe and wear a mask!
