Practice daily stress management such as meditation or gratitude journaling and nurture close friendships so you can help each other in times of stress. Manage emotional eating during times of stress and help reduce the strain on the gut by reaching for foods that are high in fiber and fatty acids such as a trail mix, fruit bowl, and stay hydrated with water. Win Wellbeing, Human 2 Human:www.chiefwellbeingofficers.comWatch the full episode: https://youtu.be/aCd1K-wU_ag

The first phase, elimination, is a ten-day minimum ‘season' where you eliminate all foods that could be causing you problems including dairy, gluten, and added sugars. The second phase, reintroduction, is where you add these foods back into your diet one at a time, for three days at a time. The key is to stat up how you feel throughout this process so you can win your gut health and your life. Food allergies trigger an immune response including hives, swelling or nausea whereas food sensitivities are more common and can cause brain fog, bloating, and headaches. Win Wellbeing, Human 2 Human:www.chiefwellbeingofficers.comWatch the full episode:  https://youtu.be/_k3dWpdiuBg

Implement inclusive language into your everyday vocabulary, especially around youth athletes. Young LGBTQ+ populations face barriers participating in athletics and are significantly less present within youth sports, so it is essential to start at the bottom so children can feel more comfortable participating.“The power of story moves hearts to then move minds”. Gut health affects mood because 70% of the immune system is affected by the gut biome. When the bad bacteria in our gut takes over the good bacteria, called dysbiosis, it puts our body in constant distress and can send signals to our brain, negatively affecting our mood.An easy nutrition hack is to have a protein shake and simple carbohydrates directly after working out. For our muscles, the protein will rebuild and the carbohydrates will refuel. With young athletes, approach nutrition simply but effectively. Set them up for success in the long-run by teaching the importance of fueling and recovering with nutrition, starting by eating enough of the right macronutrients (carbohydrates, fats, and proteins).Get Coached 2 Win Your Wellbeing:www.sportslifecoaching.comWatch the full episode: https://youtu.be/4JDjhRPas3MGET COACHED: www.lifetrainingacademy.comBe a CHAMP10N for your Wellbeing: www.championwellbeing.comFOLLOW US ON SOCIAL MEDIA:Instagram: @championwellbeing @lifetrainingacademy @chiefwellbeingofficersFacebook: www.facebook.com/ltachamp10nLinkedIn: CHAMP10N Wellbeing | H2H Wellbeing Chief Wellbeing Officers | H2H WellbeingTwitter: @coachcarletteFor inquiries contact us: karina@lifetrainingacademy.comPlease subscribe so you can keep up to date with our CHAMP10N TEAM!

Winning Strategies:Use the 80:20 Rule: where 80% of your foods are whole foods such as lean proteins or leafy greens and 20% of your foods are foods that may “feed your soul” such as processed foods or sweet treats. The truth about nutrition is that there is not one specific diet or lifestyle change that will work for everyone to reach peak performance. Our bio-individuality means that tuning in to the body after meals is the best way to make an informed decision about the foods that feel best for you.Stay intentional throughout your NUTRIT10N journey by establishing clear goals and the steps to get there. Wellbeing: It is necessary that all athletes and coaches are aware of the signs and symptoms of concussions. It is the coach's responsibility to lower the risk level of head impact (like in football), but it is the athlete's responsibility to recognize the serious nature of a concussion.INFORMAT10N: A concussion is a head injury that jostles your brain and there are about 3.8 million concussions reported each year. NAVIGAT10N Through Change:An athlete recovering from a concussion needs to take the six-step protocol seriously, and if multiple concussions occur, the athlete must weigh the benefit of ongoing participation versus a potential long-term brain injury from the concussions.Get Coached 2 Win Your Wellbeing:www.championwellbeing.comWatch the full episode: https://youtu.be/N8DPJ-zwaM8
