A young star cluster trots along with the Dog Star, Sirius – the brightest star in the night sky. They’re in the south-southeast at nightfall, and due south by about 9 p.m. The cluster stands directly below Sirius at that hour. Under dark skies, it’s just visible to the eye alone as a small, hazy patch of light. Messier 41 is about 2300 light-years away. And it’s about 25 light-years across. That volume is packed with hundreds of stars – as many as eight hundred, according to some estimates. By comparison, the same volume of space around the Sun contains only a few dozen stars. That means the skies of any planets in the cluster would be packed with bright stars – especially in the middle of the cluster, where the stars are jammed together. Some of the stars there are bigger and brighter than the Sun. Some of them are still in the prime of life, but a few are already near the end. They’ve puffed up to giant proportions, so they shine hundreds of times brighter than the Sun. The Sun probably was born in a similar type of cluster. But the Sun and its sibling stars have all gone their own ways – pulled away from each other by the gravity of the galaxy’s other stars and gas clouds. The Sun has been around for four and a half billion years. But the stars of M41 are only about 200 million years old. So there hasn’t been enough time for the galaxy to rip apart this family of young stars. Script by Damond Benningfield

They were ultimately excommunicated from the Imperium after the events on the world of Umidia. There, they purged the planet's entire population after coming under the belief that they had been tainted by the Ruinous Powers. However subsequent intelligence indicated that Chaos Cults on the planet were indeed in the process of summoning a powerful Daemon of Khorne. Khorne, either as a reward or revenge for massacring his followers, cursed the Crimson Sabres to be haunted by the voices of all those they killed. Only further bloodshed could silence the voices, and even that was temporary. Thus the Chapter Master Sevastus Kranon led his followers into the Eye of Terror to gain a temporary peace among the realm of Chaos rather than remain in Imperial space and risk harming further innocents.Support the show
On todays episode we begin our coverage of the Officio Assassinorum. We start with a quick delve into the Schola Progenium, and get out of that as quickly as possible. We then talk about the history of the Assassins on Terra from before the Unification Wars up to the start of the Great Crusade. Then we talk a lot about the value the Assassin brought to the Imperium during the Great Crusade and then into the Horus Heresy. We then finish off with the Assassins between M32 and M41 and the “learning” the imperium had to go through about their powers and capabilities.Support the show

Just a synopsis of the video you're watching. The Legion of the Damned is an enigmatic and spectral force within the Warhammer 40,000 universe. Originating from the Fire Hawks Chapter, the Legion's transformation into their current state is shrouded in mystery. The Fire Hawks vanished during a warp jump in 963.M41, only to reappear as ghostly Space Marines who materialize unexpectedly to assist the Imperium's forces in critical battles. These appearances are often marked by their ominous and flame-wreathed armor, adorned with bone motifs and other eerie symbols. Their supernatural resilience and combat prowess are legendary, making them a fearsome presence on the battlefield.Their history is filled with tales of sudden and miraculous interventions, such as aiding besieged Imperial forces and turning the tide of hopeless battles. The Legion of the Damned is rumored to be impervious to pain and capable of extraordinary feats of strength and endurance, surpassing even their Space Marine brethren. This spectral army strikes fear into the hearts of their enemies while being revered by the Imperium's forces as saviors in their darkest hours.Notable within their ranks is Brother-Sergeant Attica Centurius, who carries the Animus Malorum, an ancient and powerful relic shaped like a skull. This artifact can drain the souls of enemies and revive fallen Legionnaires, making Centurius and his squad nearly invincible. The Animus Malorum's eerie presence and deadly power add to the Legion's fearsome reputation. The Legion of the Damned has been involved in numerous key battles, including the Battle of the Phalanx and the Fall of Cadia, where their timely interventions have often turned the tide in favor of the Imperium. Despite their spectral and cursed nature, their unwavering loyalty to the Emperor and their relentless pursuit of the Imperium's enemies make them one of the most intriguing and mysterious forces in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. For more detailed information, further exploration of their lore is available in Warhammer 40k resources and codices.TIMESTAMPS —— ——TAGSWarhammer 40k, Legion of the Damned, Fire Hawks Chapter, Space Marines, Imperium of Man, Warhammer lore, Warhammer history, Warhammer 40k battles, Warp jump, ghostly Space Marines, ethereal fire, supernatural resilience, Attica Centurius, Animus Malorum, Battle of the Phalanx, Fall of Cadia, mysterious Space Marines, Emperor's intervention, cursed warriors, spectral forces, Warhammer 40k factions, Warhammer 40k characters, Warhammer 40k universe, Warhammer 40k key battles, Raptorus Rex, Dark Eldar pirates, Space Marine relics, Imperial research station, Ork pirates, ghostly interventions, supernatural combat prowess, spectral army, Imperial aid, Fire Hawks transformation, mysterious appearances, spectral combat abilities, Imperial legends, Warhammer 40k codices, Imperial myth, ghostly interventions, undying loyalty to the Emperor, mysterious forces in Warhammer, Imperial saviors, spectral soldiers, battlefield apparitions, supernatural warriors, Warhammer 40k supernatural.————————————Opinions expressed in this video are solely those of Isyander & Koda and in no way reflect the views or opinions of Games Workshop Ltd.Artwork throughout this video is used for educational purposes. if you see your artwork and would like an art credit, message me.Support the Show.

The war was fought on the Hive World of Armageddon in the Segmentum Solar, where Ghazghkull Thraka launched an Ork WAAAGH! consisting of five separate Ork tribes in an attempt to seize the planet for themselves.Elements of three Space Marine Chapters were involved in the defence of Armageddon, including: the Blood Angels, Salamanders and the Ultramarines, along with dozens of regiments of the Astra Militarum, particularly the Armageddon Steel Legion native to the world, as well as a large contingent of Inquisition forces from the Ordo Xenos composed of Squat mercenaries. A notable effect of this invasion resulted in Ghazghkull earning the wrath of Commissar Sebastian Yarrick, who dedicated his efforts after the Second War to hunting down Ghazghkull, with little success.Support the Show.

And make your voices heard for which faction you would like to see next! -Isyander Everything below is for the omnissiah. But like, you can read it if you want. Just a synopsis of the video you're watching. The story begins with the Ullanor Campaign, a massive military operation during the Great Crusade. The Emperor of Mankind and his Primarchs, including Horus, led the Imperial forces against the Ork empire of Overlord Urlakk Urg. This campaign was pivotal, as it marked one of the largest and most crucial victories for the Imperium. The defeat of the Orks on Ullanor was celebrated with the Ullanor Triumph, during which the Emperor declared Horus as Warmaster, setting the stage for future events in the galaxy. The War of the Beast was a devastating conflict, during this period, an Ork Warlord, known as The Beast, rose to power, leading a Waaagh! of unprecedented scale and ferocity. With Ullanor as the heart of this massive Ork empire. The rediscovery of Ullanor, now transformed into a world of industry and war under Ork dominion, was a symbolic and strategic blow to the Imperium. The First War for Armageddon was sparked by the return of the daemon Primarch Angron and his World Eaters. Seeking to conquer Armageddon, Angron led a daemonic invasion that brought chaos and destruction. The Space Wolves, led by Logan Grimnar, alongside elements of the Grey Knights, confronted the chaos forces in a brutal and bloody conflict. The war ended with the banishment of Angron, but not without immense loss and devastation. The Second War for Armageddon saw the return of the Orks, led by the infamous warlord Ghazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka. In 941.M41, Ghazghkull launched a massive Waaagh! against Armageddon, overwhelming the planet's defenses. The war was characterized by brutal city fights, large-scale tank battles, and the resilience of Armageddon's defenders. Commissar Yarrick emerged as a hero, his legendary determination and leadership inspiring the Imperial forces. Despite heavy losses, the combined efforts of the Imperial Guard, Space Marines, and local militias eventually repelled the Ork invasion, but the threat was far from over. The Third War for Armageddon began in 998.M41, with Ghazghkull returning to Armageddon, this time with an even larger Ork horde. The conflict quickly escalated into one of the largest wars in Imperial history. The warzones were marked by intense battles, including the defense of Hive Acheron and the struggle for Hive Helsreach. Notable participants included the Black Templars, led by High Marshal Helbrecht, and the Salamanders, under Captain Tu'Shan. The war also saw the return of Commissar Yarrick, now a living legend. Our exciting conclusion to the research done into Commander Farsight (definitely not going to be the last). Something to consider as you listen: Each must find their own way. If those in our heartland had witnessed the savageries of the void as have we they would know this. The hand of each of the starfarers is turned against the other; none will join their strength together just to see their ancient enemies prosper. Neither should we. - attributed, 765.M41
This is a test that was made on March 13th 2021. We discuss general aspects of the Tau including their place of origin, a little bit about the Enclaves and the aftermath of the Damocles Gulf. During the discussion we mention a Farsight Quote which is my favorite: Each must find their own way. If those in our heartland had witnessed the savageries of the void as have we they would know this. The hand of each of the starfarers is turned against the other; none will join their strength together just to see their ancient enemies prosper. Neither should we. - attributed, 765.M41

Log of Captain Hepatia, Sword-Class Frigate Alexandria 125.817.M41 2032 Hours Operational Theater: Rheelas We have been engaged with Stigmartus ship elements for 4 hours, the majority of the time with only visual communication. Contact with the ground has been extremely limited, and battle order has been difficult to maintain. Despite numerical superiority, we have been unable to press our advantage, and while there is no apparent communication between enemy ships, they are operating according to a seeming existing plan. This should be considered a priority one development, as it is extremely atypical for Stigmartus forces. Contact has finally been reestablished with Astartes fleet elements via direct light (I will be submitting a commendation recommendation for this development). If the emperor wills it, we will be able to force the fleet back within 6 standard hours. I am troubled, however, as I’m receiving report of changing star maps consistent with a Type 4 Chaos anomaly… Side Chatter MUSIC CREDITS PLAYERS The post Deathwatch – Binary Stars Episode 7 appeared first on The Drunk and The Ugly.
Conflict Report In Progress of Captain Roman, Ultramarines 125.817.M41 1946 Hours Operational Theater: Rheelas 1-Unsuccessful attempt to coordinate actions with Storm Wardens and Salamanders (see report D-RHE1982, Unsuccessful diplomacy attempt preceding Rheelas conflict Gamma) 2- Enacted joint operation with Deathwatch Squad, successfully assaulting previous seat of power on Rheelas utilizing modified Aquila assault Phi-9 (see report OOB-RHE31029, Order of Battle Rheelas conflict Gamma) 3- Established standard Bulwark Alpha 10 defensive protocols, with addition of armor elements. (See report OOB-RHE31029) 4- Communications with Imperial Forces, when available, considered reliable to only 81%, with 9% chance of outright deception. 5- Massive counterattack expected within 3 standard hours. All brothers ordered to status yellow until contact beyond probing attacks detected. Final Transcribed Transmission of Land Raider Izod, designated transport of Captain Tobias 125.817.M41 1827 Hours Operational Theater: Rheelas Tobias: “Squad Alpha, get me a visual on the other side of that grain depot. If we lose the rations, we’re looking at a thousand rebels turned to a million. Igneous, give me a report on the–” A loud crash is heard, along with the sound of ceramite on ceramite collision within the hold Tobias: “Commander Brazen, status report!” The sound of movements, metal on metal, and other activity can be heard Brazen: “Sir, the engine is running and we’re not moving. Reporting… Magnetic field of… 200 Teslas! An industrial magnet? The decking itself is shearing apart around us. Structural integrity sound, locomotion ineffective. Diverting power to locomotion. The sound of an extremely large motor can be heard growing rapid from undetermined location outside Land Raider Tobias: What is… BRACE! Transmission peaks with impact noises for 1.7 seconds, followed 3 seconds later by the sound of submersion. No further audio evidence of life in Izod. Izod: “Automated transmission system of Land Raider Izod activated. Hull punctured in… 32 places. Depth at 100- 110- 120 and counting meters below sea level. Locomotion ineffective, assumed destroyed. Life support inactive. Weapons functional. Depth at 200 meters and counting. Awaiting bottom impact. Assumed time until emergence from ocean based on topography: 9999 hours. Praise the Emperor. Message will repeat.” Contact ceased before message could repeat. Land Raider assumed lost with all souls aboard. A grave loss for our chapter. Side Chatter MUSIC CREDITS PLAYERS The post Deathwatch – Binary Stars Episode 5 appeared first on The Drunk and The Ugly.
Pre-Battle Report of Captain Alister Mac Lir125.787.M41 1813 Hours Operational Theater: Rheelas The meeting with the Salamanders and Ultramarines has amounted to little but wasted operational time and a foul taste in my mouth. However, the presence of the Deathwatch, and the fact that a fellow brother ranks among them, is encouraging. No Xenos shall stand against us, and the habitual over-cautiousness of the other chapters will not hinder us any further. My honor guard and myself are en route to the city-ship Esmerelda, where we will pluck this infestation root and stem, by whatever means necessary. By the tribes of Sacris, our will be done. From the desk of Inquisitor Ulysses Wright 125.787.M41 1357 Hours In Transit to Hestus, Jericho Reach [Achilus Crusade] Lord-Captain Incanus Gilden, Rogue Trader: I write this to you mere moments before we enter transit, this very temporary delay only justified by the potential inexcusable loss of Rheelas. I have deployed a Deathwatch Kill-Team to aid against incursion by unknown Xenos on the planet’s surface, and cannot wait to resolve the situation. Please make haste to collect them immediately afterward, and have them brought to the Death World of Bellom at greatest possible speed. As per usual, an agent entrusted by myself can be safely assumed to traffick in nothing of danger to the Imperium, and your mission and related dealings will be expedited at the highest possible speeds, including customs checks. Please also provide all pertinent expertise in Xenos artifacts. From the desk of Inquisitor Ulysses Wright 093.787.M41 0400 Hours Watch Station Erioch, Jericho Reach [Achilus Crusade] Inquisitor Lord Concordia: Arrangements have been made for the assignment of one [1] 5 member Deathwatch Kill-Team to my command. I am confident that their unique skill-sets and operational freedom make them ideal for the purposes we last discussed. Now please remit the necessary funds and materiel outlined in my last requisition order. I erroneously received a response indicating that you had denied my request for assets contributing to the likelihood of success of an operation vital to the course of the entire Achilus Crusade. While the recollections of the sordid events of our last mutual operation off the Hadex Anomaly trouble my sleep and I debate reporting them, I am confident that with the arrival of my requisition, the recollections will be pushed from my mind entirely. Megan and Konrad discuss the implications of President Erdogan's visit to Berlin: for international diplomacy, human rights, and the M41 bus. That's one moral compromise too far, Angela.
