Mike also reveals the secrets between his 5-figure shop window and they talk about why podcasting indirectly grows and builds your business. KEY TAKEAWAYS It's essential to adopt new ways of doing anything in business to remain relevant and profitable and podcasting is a space that is growing exponentially. Podcasting is an intimate way to speak to people, conversations are more genuine and authentic and feel relatable. It's easier to reach high-profile people to interview through podcasting, people are more willing to give their time to you and for longer periods too. The value in a podcast is immediate, to the audience and the podcaster. Even with a small audience, podcasting gives you the right people and focus to talk to so that you can convert to your products. Podcast episodes aren't just listened to when they are released, they get listens months and even years down the line A podcast is also a great way to collate and create content for mentees and clients to listen to before, during and after working with you. You put the effort, time and money into creating episodes once and you continue to get return on them, whether that's via shorts on other platforms or it being repurposed when it becomes relevant through something like a news event. BEST MOMENTS "Podcasting is the fastest growing medium to communicate with people” “People relax differently when you're in their home, or their office, in a different way” “It was much easier to get their time” “I've created my own library of content from world-leading people that I can refer my own mentees to” “It's content we create once that can be cut into dozens of shorts across a multitude of platforms” “It can be a way to warm up leads” "Less is more has become a cliche but it's true" VALUABLE RESOURCES Website Success is A System EPISODES TO CHECK OUT NEXT Podcast Production - The Cost of the Wrong Choice How to Launch a Number 1 Podcast - Part 1 ABOUT THE HOSTS Kane Baron & Ashley Morris run the UK's first and largest Podcast Agency, Progressive Media. Rob and Mike also analyse misunderstood thought leaders like Andrew Tate, the trap of needing to be loved by everyone, and why personal wealth creation lets you live life on your own terms. Rob Reveals: University delays entrepreneurship and puts you in debt with no guarantees of a good job Be selfish at first to escape debt and make your first £100K, then focus on adding value to others The purpose of life is to self-actualise and become the best version of yourself through lifelong learning To be a great mentor, provide the right balance of support and challenge tailored to each person Polarizing figures like Andrew Tate get people to take action by being extremely challenging You must be equally loved and hated to become very successful and well-known Governments can't manage money properly - entrepreneurs should run countries like companies To “dance” with the universe, you must accept universal laws like you'll always have critics BEST MOMENTS "I became a millionaire just under 31 and a decamillionaire age 35...that was a long time ago." Steven is joined by entrepreneur and renowned art collector, Mike Greene, who talks about his philosophy behind the creations he's drawn to, his foray into the world of television and what spurred him on to want to do it, how life has changed since fame has found him, and his take on how the press have shaped the way we see the world - and not always positively... KEY TAKEAWAYS Sometimes we are drawn to an object in a more fundamental way when we connect with the story or narrative behind the piece. When you establish a public persona, it can come with drawbacks. But people can also feel a sense of kinship and that they know you better, which can serve you in positive ways. There is no such thing as failure, because even when we're down, we're learning about ways in which we can stay victorious for next time. The press feed the world with headlines and "facts" designed to snag our attention and divert us from matters that could change the world if we focussed properly. BEST MOMENTS 'The romance or the story behind things connects me on a different level' 'I buy into what they were trying to achieve, or what they were thinking at the time' 'I would always rather be wealthy and unknown' 'Failure breeds success' VALUABLE RESOURCES The Steven Sulley Study         Mike Greene LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/mikegreenemg/?originalSubdomain=uk ABOUT THE HOST The Steven Sulley Study is my take on success. My view is you should have multiple focuses to be a well-rounded individual. Success shouldn't be just one thing like money, for example, it should also consist of a healthy fit lifestyle and thriving relationships. As a person who has made a success in life and also made huge cock-ups I feel I can offer suggestions and tips on how to become successful or at least start your pursuit. My 'Study' has taken resources from reading and education plus being around, my perception, of successful people and I, know a lot of successful people from all walks of life. My 'Study' coming from my experiences in business, investing, sales (my core background), training, boxing and education has enabled me to become well rounded and successful and I will help you in these key areas too.
