Edukowali go jednak także rodzice. (22 odcinek) Dlaczego Salomon miał aż 700 żon i 300 nałożnic? Co o nich wiemy? Jak stawały się żonami Salomona? Dlaczego przynajmniej jedna go odrzuciła? Gdzie mieszkało pozostałe 700 żon i 300 nałożnic? Niekoniecznie w Jerozolimie. We actually recorded this when we recorded the episode on B'shallach, for last week, in order to accommodate Eliot's travel to Israel for his daughter Naama's wedding this week. Mazal Tov! We remain ever mindful of the hostages still in captivity, may they be returned speedily to their families, and to the soldiers defending Israel as part of the Israel Defense Forces, may they be removed from harm's way. Israelis watched the video on October 7, 2023 in shock. A teenage girl, bloodied and terrified, was being pulled by her long hair from the trunk of a jeep by a heavily armed Hamas terrorist. Naama Levy, a newly conscripted IDF soldier, had been brutalized, and the short clip of her went viral globally. When they first saw it even her parents did not recognize their daughter. In a dramatic few weeks leading up to last Saturday, the fate of Na'ama—as well as four other female IDF soldiers also kidnapped on that dark day by Hamas—hung by a thread. Negotiations were so tense. So much was and is at stake. And Israel is forced to negotiate with one of the most barbaric terror groups in the world. Hamas is ISIS is al-Qaeda. Qatar, a backward country that supports Islamist terror financially and diplomatically, is the “neutral” mediator. It's all like a bad hallucination, but true. Until the last moment on Saturday morning, there were so many snags that arose. Miraculously, they were overcome, and four of the five girls are home. Still to be saved are 90 hostages remaining in Hamas hell. Some are alive; many are not. We will get into the minefield that lies ahead in due course, but today we focus on the joy of the return of Naama, Daniela, Karina, and Liri. And what the return of all the hostages means for the people and state of Israel. It's always enriching and interesting speaking with Yossi Klein Halevi, our fabulous guest today.State of Tel Aviv is a reader-supported publication.

For more than a year Israel has been engaged in a defensive war against the Islamist terrorist organization Hamas in the Gaza Strip, which attacked Israel with an utmost brutality on October 7, 2023. More than a thousand people were brutally murdered. It was the most horrific massacre of Jews since the end of the Shoah. More than 200 people were taken hostage in the Gaza Strip - children, women and men, from babies to the elderly, even Holocaust survivors. Currently around 100 hostages are still being held in the Gaza Strip, an incredibly long time of more than 400 days. We are talking to Efrat Machikawa and Naama Weinberg, two relatives of hostages, about an issue that is far too often overlooked by the world public.

Naama Shefi remembers visiting her husband's grandmother for the first time, and being astonished by the stories tucked into each dish on the dinner table. That moment led her to start the Jewish Food Society, an organization that preserves and celebrates the diversity of Jewish food from around the world, which as Naama is quick to point out, goes far beyond Eastern European classics like brisket, kugel, smoked fish, and potato knishes. Now, Naama and the Jewish Food Society have a cookbook out, called The Jewish Holiday Table, which includes foods from Jews with roots in Spain, Iraq, Yemen, Morocco, Zimbabwe, and more. Ahead of Passover, Dan talks with Naama about what she ate growing up on a kibbutz, the culture shock of moving to New York, and her favorite Passover recipes from the book — including a Mexican rendition of gefilte fish. If you'd like to support humanitarian efforts in Israel and Gaza, there are many organizations providing aid, including Doctors Without Borders and Save the Children. You can also support World Central Kitchen, a food aid organization that provides meals all over the world in crisis zones, which recently suspended operations in Gaza after seven aid workers were killed in an IDF strike. The Sporkful production team includes Dan Pashman, Emma Morgenstern, Andres O'Hara, Nora Ritchie, and Jared O'Connell. Transcript available at www.sporkful.com.

Tina (@LlamatoTina) is a 23 year old transwoman from Germany - a former associate of Vintologi, the Swedish author of the eponymous Transmaxxing Manifesto. She is a transmaxxer qua transmaxxer, who endorses transitioning for all sorts of reasons besides gender dysphoria, including "personal gain" and escaping inceldom. But her own story is much more complex. "Our Lips Are Sealed" by The Go-Go's. 1981. Courtesy of I.R.S. Records.
