Episode 114 is on the scene and we break down the South Carolina 400 from Florence Motor Speedway with Joshua and Billy Weatherman of Short Track Report. We discussed everything from the cold weather, traffic jams, almost not being let into the facility, lack of internet which led to major streaming issues, Dale Jr returning to the Budweiser car and how we felt about fans leaving early once Dale fell out of the race.We further dissect the event by talking about Treyton Lapcevich's win in the race and where this puts him amongst the best in short track racing, Doug Barnes Jr barely missing out on another South Carolina 400 win, Carson Loftin's debut in a late model from modifieds, Jacob Heafner's season defining top five finish, the impressive Darren Krantz Jr and of course the Diaz vs Jones fight.We also talk about the upcoming Thanksgiving Classic from Southern National Motorsports Park as we provide some insight on who we think may win based on those that we know will be a part of the event. Nick drives the #28 Super Stock at Sunset Speedway full time. Sera will drive her #04 Mini Stock on a part time basis. Before being joined by Nick and Sera of course Jon and Megan talked about their weekends. With the good weather Flamboro Speedway held their first practice of the year. Jon and Megan were both on hand to take in the action and check in on their racing friends. Jon was running around slapping cameras on different cars. As well as TJ Marshall working hard to get his new car ready for opening season. Body work is done and just about ready for paint. It was time to bring the this weeks guest Mike Thomson. We learned about Mike and how he got involved in racing from starting out with his brother racing enduros at Merrittville and Humberstone before taking their talents to Delaware. 2022 marked the first full time season for Mike Thomson behind the wheel of a stock car. Mike competed in all Mini Stock events at Flamboro Speedway securing two wins and finishing second in points. We had a great conversation with Mike and we don't want to spoil too much of it. Strmiska is the driver of the #90 MainLine Equipment Mini Stock with the Carolina Mini-Stock Challenge Series. Strmiska, fresh off a great round 1 with the Series at the Dillon Motor Speedway, in January earned the pole (new CMSC Series track record) and raced to a 2nd place finish. Round 2, the Series raced at the Florence Motor Speedway located in Timmonsville, SC. Strmiska started 3ed and ended up in Victory Lane. Robert breaks down his day at the track before parking it in Victory Lane. Strmiska discusses the Series and why he likes it, plus shares what he does for his day job.

Dillon Scott from Tennessee started racing at 14 and has two Championships to his credit along with 100 wins in the Mini-Stock class at Thunderhill Speedway. Still a young 29, he moved up to Street Stocks this season. Trevor Woodard started racing at 15 in an open wheel class, won three straight Championships, then briefly went to Tennessee National Speedway, where he won another Championship in 2015 before returning to Thunderhill, his Home Track. Show #79 - Mar 30, 2009 Joe Ruttman has seen a lot racing in his day. He made his first Winston Cup start in 1963, at the age of 18, his last Winston Cup Start in 2004, a period spanning FIVE decades! In 225 career Winston Cup starts, he finished in the top ten 60 times, or approx. 1 in every 4 starts, and accumulated 19 top five finishes. Joe has won 13 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Races and was also the 1980 USAC Stock Car Champion .His brother won the 1952 Indianapolis 500, and still is the youngest winner on record at 22 years, 80 days. As a young adult, he drove for "Bug" Go-Karts, winning karting events throughout the Southwest. Rick Bristol is now the promoter of Orlando Speedworld and he is determined to keep the speedway moving forward and creating an exciting place to race in Florida's tourist capitol. Skip Honaker, one of Speedworld's Modified racers is getting geared up and fired up about the "Grouch" Myers Memorial at Bronson motor Speedway on April 25. Kenny Dukes announces his new sprint car team with Gene Lasker. Mini Stock racer Mark Powers is preparing to go after the $1200 winners share of the Curry Roofing Modified Mini Stock 100 at Citrus County Speedway on April 11.
