Author Mike Mueller on the iconic Ford Mustang. Co-host Bruce Aldrich is on vacation, so Mueller and I discuss his latest and just-released updated and revised book, The Complete Book of Ford Mustang. Ford Mustang: A nearly 60-year icon It's a coffee table-sized volume with more than 550 color photographs and complementary text included in 320 pages. Created in cooperation with Ford and providing extensive details, specifications and photographic coverage, the book is the "ultimate resource on America's best-loved pony car." According to the book's marketing materials, the Ford Mustang is the only vehicle that deserves the title "pony car." Ford Mustang: Original Pony Car "From the first six-cylinder Mustang of 1964 1/2 through the fire-breathing, world-beating Boss and Shelby versions of the 1960s and early '70s, to today's Mustang Mach 1 and Shelby GT500, the Complete Book of Ford Mustang offers an in-depth look at prototypes and experimental models, the anniversary and pace cars and the specialty packages for street and competition driving that have made the Mustang an automotive legend for nearly 60 years." Are you ready for another dynamic power couple? Both officers in the Canadian Armed Forces currently posted to Latvia, Kristine Self and Mike Mueller met in the late 1990s in Barrie ON where they instantly bonded over their shared love of running. While these two have very impressive road running resumes, we spent a good chunk of this conversation talking about their adventures in the trails, including numerous multi-day races they've taken part in all over the world. This chapter of their running lives began in 2016 when Mike “forced” Kristine into attending a women's only trail running festival for HIS birthday! It was there that Kristine realized just how much she loves the trails and longer distances and has never looked back since. In this episode Mike and Kristine shared some crazy stories about their 5-6 day / 250K treks across Madagascar and Cambodia that involve snakes, crocodiles, and heat exhaustion, plus some incredible teamwork to pull each other through various low points in that race. One little side note if you're tempted by these multi-day ultramarathons: you may want to read the fine print about landmines and corpse preparation fees! Mike and Kristine are both members of the Canadian Armed Forces' international running team (CISM), and just in case you didn't think their lives were busy enough, Mike manages that team and Kristine is their Peak Performance Coach.Connect with Carolyn & Kim:Email us with guest ideas: inspiredsolescast@gmail.comInspired Soles InstagramKim's InstagramKim's FacebookCarolyn's InstagramCarolyn's FacebookCarolyn's website (sign up for her free weekly newsletter on the homepage)
Marc Meyerhoff and Mike Mueller welcome the Owner and President of the Upper Midwest Sprint Car Series (UMSS), Ron Bernhagen in studio, for an exclusive interview about the UMSS, the Renegade Racing Brand, Schedules, Rules and the future of the brand. In the first of this two-part interview, we get a little background on Ron and how his passion for the sport of racing began. Being a life long fan of the sport and of sprint car racing he saw an opportunity to make sprint car racing relevant again in the Twin Cities area with ownership stake in Cedar Lake Speedway. After a few years and many ups and downs, Ron came to the conclusion that he "Needed To Do Something Different." And with that, began the conception of the Upper Midwest Sprint Car Series. Ron details how the UMSS began with the winged 360's, evolved to the Traditional Sprint Cars, where the tide turned for the 360 division and how the rebirth of the wing series for the UMSS came to be with the 305 and similar specs and rules to the Traditional Series. Turning the wheel to the 2022 season for the UMSS and Renegade Racing Brand, first on the docket, the 2022 schedule! Many dates already announced with Cedar Lake Speedway being called home again in 2022. The schedule looks and feels a little different. Is there plans for a Memorial Day Weekend? Why is the UMSS not returning to Alexandria in 2022? Ron's thoughts on the Labor Day weekend 3 day races for the North Dakota Nationals and are there possibly anymore dates to be announced in the coming weeks? That's just part one. We still got part two, too go! More news, discussions and announcements with Ron that we're sure you'll won't want to miss. But you'll just have to wait for that on episode 67. The UMSS 2021 season has come to a close but that doesn't mean the RTS podcast is waving the checkered flag on recording episodes. Marc and Mike return to the studio after a grueling 3 week stretch of racing as it is Champions Night on this weeks installment of the podcast. UMSS Wing Sprint Car Champion, "The New Richmond Nightmare" Chase Viebrock calls into the show to recap his 2021 season behind the wheel of the number 50 wing sprint car. Chase recalls what it took through the summer months for him and his team to continue to be so dominate. Double digit win counts plus a clean sweep of all 3 nights in the wing class at the Legendary 100 capped off a stellar 2021 for the Viebrock team. Cedar Lake Dash Series Champion in the Non Wing Class, pilot of the number 54, Cam Schafer makes his return in studio. A historical season dedicated to long time friend Ricky was filled with memorable wins, breaking records, some tough luck, long nights and plenty of good times along the way. The all time wins leader at Cedar Lake Speedway and in the UMSS breaks down how he kept his focus throughout 2021, battling a good friend down the stretch for a championship and his experience at Husets Speedway in a non wing 410 with the USAC series. Quality Freight Rate UMSS Champion and our very own "Mike on the MIc" Mike Mueller, brings it home for us on this episode of the RTS Podcast. Consistency was the name of the game for the driver of the 87 non wing sprint car in 2021. The win total may not of been his highest of his career but when it came to 2nd's and 3rd's, Mike was the guy. The Stacy Slugger details how that consistency paid off in the long run throughout the season and battling Cam Schafer till the very last night at the Legendary 100 and needing a win to secure the 2021 championship.

Trends, technology and tactics are never stagnant in the ever-changing world of marketing. However, if one thing is certain in the marketing landscape, it's that digital marketing can no longer be overlooked or ignored by businesses and organizations from industries of all shapes and sizes. “I would argue that in this day and age, there is no such thing as marketing without digital marketing,” said Clix business strategist Mike Mueller. “I know if we go back 25 years it wasn't always this way, but you'd be hard pressed to name any marketing channel that doesn't have some digital component to it today.” While digital marketing can become a valuable tool for lead generation and other business goals, it can also confuse many newcomers when it comes to what it is and how to use it properly. Tune into the latest episode of The Ghidotti Podcast as Mueller and host Natalie Ghidotti discuss the ins and outs of digital marketing, including emerging trends and how you can get started to accomplish your goals.

Easy. Appreciated. Two words and a holiday gift issue solved. Buy automotive books for the enthusiasts on your holiday shopping list. Bruce Aldrich and I discuss a half-dozen automotive books on episode #160 of The Weekly Driver Podcast. Automotive books make good holiday gifts for the car enthusiasts on your holiday shopping lists. We've had everal authors on the podcast in the past three years. All share a passion for the automotive industry — Chevrolet to Volkswagen, Jeep to the massive Takata airbag catastrophe. Here's a synopsis of three of the books we discuss: * Russell Hayes, like all automotive industry book authors, is passionate about his subject matter. Hayes' interests cover several iconic carmakers, including his latest effort celebrating the 75th and 70th anniversaries of the Volkswagen Beetle and Bus. Automotive Books: VW to Jeep to Chevrolet For enthusiasts as interested in vehicles as the author, Hayes' coffee-table sized volume is Volkswagen Beetles and Buses: Smaller and Smarter (Quarto Publishing Group, $40). Automotive books are a good choice for the car and truck enthusiasts on your holiday shopping list. As Hayes explains, no carmaker's history is as unique as Volkswagen — its association with the Nazi movement to the Hippie generation. * Patrick Foster knows as much as anyone about automaker Jeep. With more than 30 years in the automotive industry, Foster is a prolific journalist, particularly when writing about the long history of utilitarian, four-wheel-drive vehicles. Foster's latest book is Jeep: Eight Decades From Willys to Wrangler (Motorbooks $32.99.) Accompanied by more than 200 photographs, the 192-page paperback is described as “the definitive book on the greatest four-wheel-drive vehicle ever.” Foster details his vast knowledge of Jeep, and he gives an insightful account of the stories behind its design and production. The automaker's well-known World War II presence to current models are all covered. * Mick Mueller has written and another authoritative book on the history of the Corvette. The Complete Book of Corvette, a coffee table-sized volume detailing the first seven generations of “America's Sports Car” (Quarto Publishing Group, $55), continues Mike Mueller's prolific writing career. Showcasing more than 60 years of Corvette history, the book was published in cooperation with General Motors. It's illustrated with 500 color and black-and-white photos from GM's exclusive Design and Media Archives. Development, tech specs and visual prowess of the Corvette lineup are all covered in Mueller's second book on the iconic sports car. Bruce and I also discuss several other books, from a fascinating look at a junkyard of cars in Los Angeles to an expert who details the tragedy of the airbag crisis. A new book, a speed record (not), new truck towing capacities, autonomous vehicles and the future of electric trucks. There's always a lot happening in the automotive industry, and periodically Bruce Aldrich I just talk about a lot on The Weekly Driver Podcast. We're are each other's guests this week to visit the above-mentioned news items. And it's the 155th episode of our slightly more than three-year-old, 30-minute broadcasts. First up this week is a new book by author Mike Mueller. It's The Complete Book of Corvette, a coffee table-sized book details all generations of the "America's Sports Car." The book is an all-encompassing volume showcasing more than 60 years of Corvette history. Created in cooperation with General Motors and illustrated with 500 color and black-and-white photos from GM's exclusive Design and Media Archives, the book highlights the development, tech specs and visual prowess of the entire Corvette line. New Book Details Corvette History The book was released before the debut of the Corvette's eighth generation, mid-engined C8. Mueller's new book is an updated edition of his first Corvette title. But a third book may also be warranted detailing the 2020 model and its disruption of the industry. In this episode, Bruce and I also discuss: * The short-lived recent speed record of 331.15 mp set behind the wheels of the SSC Tuatara. Turns out the record wasn't accurate with eagle-eyed video watchers noticed some peculiarities. The record is no more; * A letter writer comment on a column I wrote recently, and he has plenty to say about the towing capacities of heavy trucks; * Autonomous cars are being tested in controlled circumstances in the streets of San Francisco; * Auto innovation usually seems like a great idea. How about a new solar-powered pickup truck bed liner? The Weekly Driver Podcast encourages and appreciates feedback from our listeners. Please forward episode links to family, friends and colleagues. In the 19th and early-20th centuries, hotels in America offered more than room and board. They defined a community by attracting crowds to their lobbies and restaurants and establishing themselves as vital centers of civic life, writes A.K. Sandoval-Strausz, author of “Hotel: An American Story.” “Hotels,” writes Sandoval-Strausz, “were points of contact between local communities and the larger society beyond.” As the saying goes, “Everything old is new again.” Modern-day hotels are returning to the communal spirit that early accommodations depended on to attract business from travelers and locals alike. In today's episode of Lodging Leaders, we explore the concept of shared space and spotlight companies answering travelers' quests for more communal experiences – both in their rooms and in the hotel's common areas. We hear from Clay Markham, head of the global hospitality sector at CallisonRTKL. We also feature Jason Fudin, CEO of WhyHotel; Philip Bates, CEO of Bode; and Mike Mueller, senior vice president of Super 8 Hotels at Wyndham Hotel Group.
Mike Mueller-Smith talks about the Criminal Justice Administrative Records System (CJARS) -- a new source of administrative data -- and how criminal justice policy affects economic and social disparities in the United States.
Any issues that might rise up in Wisconsin that would have a negative impact on motorcycles would be met with a very large constituency of citizens who would oppose it. They band together under the freedom of the national constitution and their organization known as ABATE. Which is the abbreviation for A Brotherhood Against Totalitarian Enactments.
I sit down with my good friend Mike Mueller of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF). Mike is the Lands Program Manager for RMEF and is behind many of the amazing public access projects that RMEF accomplishes. We talk about one of their most exciting projects in recent memory, The Falls Creek Project.Located in Lewis and Clark County in Southwest Montana, this purchase of 422 acres will improve access to 26,000 acres of public land. The property boasts a gorgeous waterfall, incredible viewsheds, abundant wildlife, and a variety of recreation opportunities. Because RMEF still needs to raise funds for the purchase, the land isn't open to the public quite yet. The project is projected to be completed in 2020 at which time it will be convened into the public domain. Social Media Edge Radio In mid-summer Ken Cook decided to share with his Twitter friends some of the tips and techniques he was learning by using the service. He would review news and technical releases and try new tools then talk about them on a podcast. Those first shows were a true "podcast" recorded in his office then uploaded to a server and he invited others to listen. Back on August 18th 2009 Ken learned about Blog Talk Radio and decided to give it a try. Those first few painful shows were fifteen minutes long and called Twitter Tuesday. They were broadcast live from Noon to 12:15 on Tuesdays usually to an empty chat room and a live audience of 3 or 4 listeners. In December that year Jason Crouch joined as co-host of Social Media Edge Radio and the audience continued to grow. Mike Mueller joined in late winter of 2010 and Jeremy Blanton joined in Spring of 2010. We've had many, many wonderful guests and you can see them all at http://socialmediaedge.com/past-guests/ thanks to Mike Mueller's diligent efforts in keeping the Wall of Fame up to date.
