It's been interesting to hear in recent mainstream news reports all of the open speculation about the Saudi government's role in the 9/11/2001 attacks in the US.  An old friend of mine knew Mohamed Atta.  He tried to tell the FBI, but they weren't interested.  After years of living on the road, in fear of being killed for knowing too much, he decided it was time to contact me and tell me his story, the basic details of which I try to capture in this song. I can't reveal the identity of my friend, and I can't personally verify the details he has shared with me, but I'm sure he didn't make this up.

Former NASA engineer explains evidence that an intelligence operation, Able Danger, knew Mohammad Atta was in the US yet was forbidden to share this information with the FBI  This is the second of a four-part series on 9/11, specifically, the work of the 9/11 Consensus Panel, an international 23 person panel of 9/11 researchers. The panel was spearheaded by Dr. David Ray Griffin and Elizabeth Woodworth. They have published a book on their work entitled, 9/11 Unmasked: An International Review Panel Investigation. (Read a review). This is from the book’s cover: 9/11 Unmasked is the result of a six-year investigation by an international review panel, which has provided 51 points illustrating the problematic status of all the major claims in the official account of the 9/11 attacks, some of which are obviously false. Most dramatically, the official account of the destruction of the Twin Towers and World Trade Center 7 could not possibly be true, unless the laws of physics were suspended that day. But other claims made by the official account including the claims that the 9/11 planes were taken over by al-Qaeda hijackers, that one of those hijackers flew his plane into the Pentagon, and that passengers on the planes telephoned people on the ground are also demonstrably false. The book reports only points about which the panel reached consensus by using the best-evidence consensus model employed in medical research. The panel is composed of experts about 9/11 from many disciplines, including physics, chemistry, structural engineering, aeronautical engineering, and jurisprudence. Last week Elizabeth Woodworth and Dr. Graeme MacQueen were my guests to discuss the purpose, goal, and work of the panel as well as address a few of the 51 points including foreknowledgeof world trade center 7’s collapse, eyewitness testimony of explosionsprior to the collapse of the world trade center towers, military drillsthat had been moved to September 11th, and evidence for steelrecovered from world trade center 7’s collapse. This week, I speak with consensus panel member Dwain Deets. Much like the broken two-party system of today, the Hamiltonians and Jeffersonians of the 18th century found themselves on opposing ends of the spectrum, each with drastically different ideas about the role of the federal government. While each was to take place under a democratic context, by the will of the people through the ballot box, in a hierarchical bureaucracy, Federalism and big government was experiencing an uptick in support among voters. On the back of the Boston Tea Party, in this post-Revolution landscape, it was understood that the role of corporations was to function as creations of the state, which were founded to accomplish certain objectives, and prohibited from participating in politics. Shamagineer walks through the protections put into place, limiting the influence of corporations like the East India Tea Company, and the gradual erosion of these beginning during the Reconstruction Era. 14:00 Greg and Shamangineer continue with their conversation about fascism throughout our history, the saga of Smedley Butler and Gerald MacGuire, the attempted coup by the American Liberty League, and Prescott Bush's involvement. Connected to both the Hamburg American Line and UBS Bank, Prescott Bush was able to forward the fascist agenda of the major corporations that choke the life from the American middle class, by funding Nazis during WWII and helping their spies infiltrate US soil. Later, whilst Members of the Muslim community gathered at the famous Plaza de Catalunya, which is just yards from where it ploughed into pedestrians on Las Ramblas.....and Barcelona's chief rabbi Meir Bar-Hen told his congregation to move to Israel to flee terror. It was surprising to see Deputy chairman of the German Social Democratic Party Eva Hogl caught on camera smiling and waving as her party leader made a tribute to victims of the Barcelona atrocity. In a lesser publicised article Mohamed Atta, the pilot of the first plane that crashed into the World Trade Center, is reported to have met with Ramzi bin al-Shibh, in Cambril, Spain, in July 2001 where they 'planned' the 9/11 attacks. In another extremely sad event Rocío Cortés Núñez is said to have been killed as she was transported on a stretcher between the second and third floors of the Valme Hospital in Seville, southern Spain. Fernando Alvarez, from Cadiz, Spain, held one minute's His Own silence in honor of victims During the attack Barcelona race at the Masters World Championship in Budapest. In the past two months, police officers on beach duty in Barcelona have filed 7,217 reports of hawkers peddling food and drink to vacationers. Earlier this week, EL PAÍS published the results of a laboratory analysis of these products by MicroBac, which revealed a high content of fecal bacteria, known as E.Coli, in much of the beach fare on sale. In the UK Lady Diane is once again in the news via a TV show. Lady Sarah McCorquodale, said her sister was ‘religious’ about wearing seatbelts and questioned why she would have failed to do so on her fateful last car journey through Paris. A TV show about Jihadis and volunteers in Syria is seen by many viewers as being inappropriate. Families had called on Channel 4 to postpone the series as a mark of respect for victims after the terror group claimed responsibility for the atrocity in Spain. Meanwhile, Bradford West MP Naz Shah shared and liked a post by a parody account of newspaper columnist Owen Jones saying victims of sex abuse in Rotherham should 'shut their mouths'. As political groups in the USA are pulling down monuments in the UK Afua Hirsch said Nelson's Column in London's Trafalgar Square was a prime example of one which should be felled because Admiral Horatio Lord Nelson‎ defended slavery.‎ ‎

Lieutenant Colonel Anthony Shaffer is a Senior Fellow with both the London Center for Policy Research and the Center for Advanced Defense Studies (CADS), and a consultant. He is a senior operations officer and Military Operations Training Course (MOTC) graduate with over 30 years of field experience. He has held numerous leadership positions, including as commander of Operating Base (OB) Alpha (Defense Intelligence) and as directing Task Force STRATUS IVY - a unit that conducted cutting edge technology and information operations from the mid 90s through the turn of the century. He has played key roles in multiple interagency operations that were conducted with the NSA, CIA and FBI. He is also a best selling author which includes his book Operation Dark Heart, which talks about a classified operation called Able Danger. Able Danger had identified 2 of 3 Al Qaeda cells active in the 9/11 attacks; the 'Brooklyn cell' linked to "Blind Sheik" Omar Abdel-Rahman, including September 11 attacks leader Mohamed Atta, and three of the 9/11 plot's other 19 hijackers. The Defense Department attempted to preserve secrecy of revelations made by this book Operation Dark Heart, by buying up and destroying all 10,000 copies of the book.

But as evidence grew that the anthrax spores had originated in laboratories embedded in the US military-industrial complex, attention was diverted to looking for the "lone nut"; a quest that ended with a convenient suicide. But what, asks Dr. MacQueen, should we conclude from all the "intelligence" that supposedly pointed towards Al Qaeda and Iraq in the first place? Was it all error? Or was it, as he persuasively argues, a nexus of "faulty" intelligence, "prescient" media reports, "tips", and astonishing "coincidences" that inescapably points towards a group of insiders within the US state appartus itself?
