Breaking Hallmark Channel News Hallmark's Countdown to Christmas is rumored to have a full slate of holiday movies this season despite the actors and writers strike. Read the Variety article here. About "Notes of Autumn" This movie was originally called “Fall Swap." Singer-songwriter Debbie Gibson served as an executive producer According to TV Fanatic, this is Debbie Gibson's return to Hallmark. She starred in and produced "Summer of Dreams" in 2016 and in "Wedding of Dreams" in 2018. Ashley Williams stars as Ellie. She has 81 acting credits including “Five More Minutes: Moments Like These,” “Two Tickets to Paradise,” and “Love, Classified” all from 2022. She also starred in 10 episodes of “Amber Brown” on AppleTV which also starred Sarah Drew from last week's “Guiding Emily.” Her instagram is delightful, if you're not following her there. Related: Girls Gone Hallmark review of "Two Tickets to Paradise" Luke Macfarlane co-stars as Leo. Luke took a small departure from the Hallmark Channel, he was last seen in “A Magical Christmas Village” last holiday season. At the time, he told the LA Times that his 17th Hallmark movie would likely be his last, saying that the channel “had been very good” to him but “how many firefighters can I play?” In the meantime, Macfarlane co-starred in a feature film called “Bros,” worked for AppleTV on a comedy called “Platonic” and was even offered a role in mega-hit Barbie but had to decline because of conflicts. Additionally, Macfarlane and his partner welcomed a baby girl named Tess in June of this year. So why is he back at Hallmark? He told The Hollywood Reporter that he “applauds” Hallmark for creating queer content. Perhaps an offer he couldn't reuse? View this post on Instagram A post shared by Luke Macfarlane (@ten_minutes_younger) //www.instagram.com/embed.js Marcus Rosner brings his signature BDE as Sam. We last same him as Austin McMurray in the series Ride. He was also in one of the fan favorite fall movie reviews, Autumn in the Vineyard, which dropped a few weeks ago. He's got three Christmas-themed movies in the hopper according to IMDb. If you follow Rosner on Instagram, you'll see he's been on a long road to recovery since major leg surgery in November 2022. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Marcus Rosner (@marcus_rosner) //www.instagram.com/embed.js Peter Porte plays Matt. I'm complete unfamiliar with Porte but Hallmark fans are happy he's back. He has 50 acting credits including “Rome in Love” and “A Gift for Christmas” for Hallmark. He's also been on “Days of Our Lives,” “NCIS,” and the Neal Patrick Harris series “Uncoupled.” "When Calls the Heart" stars Pascale Hutton and Kavan Smith pop up throughout the movie playing Isabelle and Jack - fictional characters in Leo's novel. The script was written by Rick Garmen who has 27 previous writing credits. His last three movies for Hallmark were “Groundswell,” “Christmas at Castle Hart,” and “You Had me at Aloha.” But, his last two movies were the CCB and Danica McKeller Christmas movies for GAF last year. He's got a Jon Brotherton Christmas movie in the hopper too, according to IMDb.

Welcome back everyone! Mike and Matt hope you had a great Christmas vacation, they sure did. For our first pod of 2022 we chat about Warner Bros latest money grab The Matrix Resurrections. Bonus topics include South Park, fan service, and dad jokes. Mike and Matt had really high hopes for this film and they were smashed. The Matrix Trilogy and universe is some of our favorite mind bending science fiction of the past 30 years next to Star Wars of course. The Matrix Resurrections did not need to be made. It does not add to the saga, it is a rehash of the original film. The first third of this movie was great mind bending, making you question what's really going on with Neo. The rest of the movie evolves into a copy of the original movie. The action was down right dull at times making the film feel really long. It is still a Matrix movie with great special effects and decent acting, especially from Neal Patrick Harris. Matt and Mike both agree don't rush to see this film in the theaters. If you have HBO Max and you love the Matrix then it is worth your time. Mike starts off the new year with an average rating of 3 out of 5 Reels. Matt thought The Matrix Resurrections was only half a film awarding it 2.5 out of 5 Reels. For next week Mike and Matt have their first Tributary review of the year, the Netflix Original starring Sandra Bullock The Unforgivable. Thank you for your continued support of our podcast and we will chat at you next week! A Princess for Christmas, Princess Switch 3, A Christmas Competition, 8-Bit Christmas, and A Christmas Family Tree were all reviewed this week by Emily and Sophia. Each movie had it's own unique story line revolving around the ever so wonderful holiday of Christmas. Emily is a sucker for the older Hallmark movies, so she watched and reviewed A Princess for Christmas. It is a 2011 flick that involved a visit to Castlebury (clever) and a healing relationship with the estranged royal family. Is it worth the watch? Emily will tell ya! Sophia spent her Thanksgiving break watching all the Christmas movies. Princess Switch 3 is the third (and hopefully final) movie in the series. Vanessa Hudgeons plays a baker, a princess/queen, and the cousin to the princess/queen. There's a priceless decoration from the Vatican that goes missing, a growing love interest between 2 spies, and an estranged mother/daughter relationship that needs mending. Should you watch it? Hear Sophia's take to decide for yourself! A Christmas Competition was a must watch considering Candace Cameron Bure stars in it. Yule wanna hear all about the holly jolly good time Sophia had watching this Fuller House reunion movie. 8-Bit Christmas is a Neal Patrick Harris gem of a movie that'll have you all in your Sandlott and Home Alone feels. Needing a new Christmas movie, but wanting something well done? Here's your pick. Quality storyline, excellent acting, and hilarity the whole family will love! If you've ever wanted to see how an online ancestry test plays out......then you should watch A Christmas Family Tree. There's skinny ties, paternal discoveries, and gift giving expertise to be seen! You can find these movies on the following streaming platforms: A Princess for Christmas (Netflix) Princess Switch 3 (Netflix) A Christmas Competition (Frndly) 8-Bit Christmas (HBO Max) A Christmas Family Tree (Frndly)
Vin Diesel wants Dwayne Johnson back in the Fast franchise but is he too busy? Hacker group cracks the PlayStation 5 console. Neal Patrick Harris to star in a new holiday movie that tells the tale of the 8-bit NES system in the 1980's!
• A quiet Charlotte family is thrust into Hollywood • “Writing for me was something that I didn't share with anybody” (Total Recorded Time is 18:21) When it comes to the alure of show business, the same bug that bit stars like Ronald Reagan, Hilary Swank and Leonard DiCaprio bit a family living quietly in sedate Charlotte, North Carolina. And while the DeBoer family's star is still rising, it has spun off its first book, “Until Tomorrow, Little People.” Family patriarch Matt DeBoer wrote the book based on a blog he wrote during the family's first beachhead in Hollywood, holed up in a 2-bedroom apartment for three months, to give their kids a chance to break into stardom. Son Chandler is in a Warner Bros. movie called, "8-Bit Christmas" starring Neal Patrick Harris and daughter Olivia played Young Love in the Netflix movie “You.” Matt DeBoer talks about the unusual series of events that launched the children's careers and formed his book in this Bizgnus Podcast. Please click here to watch the interview: https://youtu.be/1_05Eqg18HQ “Writing for me was something that I didn't share with anybody because I was afraid that it would be rejected,” Mr. DeBoer says. “I was afraid it would be rejected.” Then he realized that his hesitation was at odds with the “go for it” approach he was encouraging for his son and daughter. Mr. DeBoer worked with an editor at his publisher for months to refine the text before it was published. In this episode of Hip Squared, enter a dark world of adventure and mystery. First, John talks about The Stranger Things soundtrack, composed by Michael Stein and Kyle Dixon of the band survive. Their haunting synth melodies create a perfectly creepy soundtrack for the Netflix show, and are also excellent albums on their own. Including the soundtrack for Stranger Things Season 2, three volumes have been released. John also talks about the Stranger Things mobile game, a retro throwback to old school 8-bit and 16-bit adventure games like The Legend of Zelda. Then Troy reviews the 3rd and final season of A Series of Unfortunate Events on Netflix. Based on a children’s book series, the show wraps up as you would expect from the title. With strong performances by Neal Patrick Harris and the three child stars, the show still has a somewhat unsatisfying conclusion.Maplex Monk is on the ones and twos. Thanks for listening to Hip Squared! Today's Guest: Nathan Fillion, actor, "Castle," "Firefly" Order 'Castle: The Complete First Season' starring Nathan Fillion, available from Amazon.com by clicking on the DVD cover above! (EDITOR'S NOTE: Unfortunately, this was not one of the show's better moments, technically speaking. I'm a big fan of Fillion's work and everything that could go wrong here, did. It was Firefly fail times a thousand.) Nathan Fillion has paid his dues and, I suspect had a good time doing it. He’s the guy you know and recognize when you see him—oh, yeah, you think—that guy! He was last seen on “Desperate Housewives” as Dana Delany’s beaten-down, much younger husband, Dr. Adam Mayfair. But before that, you’ve seen him in everything from Joss Whedon’s late, lamented sci-fi series “Firefly” to the online sensation, “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog.” He also co-starred in the movie Waitress with Keri Russell. Order 'Firefly: The Complete Series' [Blu-ray] starring Nathan Fillion, available from Amazon.com by clicking on the DVD set above! Now it appears Fillion has met the role that could be a perfect match for him. He is novelist Richard Castle, the lead character in the new Monday night ABC series “Castle.” The show, which may remind viewers of a certain generation—mine—of “Moonlighting” and younger viewers, perhaps, of “Bones,” airs at 9 p.m. Nathan Fillion Twitter • Facebook • Order Castle: The Complete First Season on DVD from Amazon.com Listen: Mr. Media's interview with Ruben Santiago-Hudson, co-star of Castle (2009) Listen: Mr. Media's interview with Summer Glau, co-star of Firefly, The Cape (2011) Order 'Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog' [Blu-ray] starring Neal Patrick Harris, Nathan Fillion and Felicia Day, available from Amazon.com by clicking on the DVD above! Little bit of NFL update. Some crappy fines done by the NFL to a coach. Referee's are bitches. Spammers on forum, bitches.
