The Phillies faced off against the Nationals last night in an exciting matchup. For most of the game, the Phillies were in the lead, but in the 9th inning, the Nationals took a 6-5 advantage. However, the Phillies scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 9th, sealing the game with a walk-off win. They will meet the Nationals again today at 6:45 PM. With the draft now behind us, what are the sentiments regarding this Eagles team? Are we looking forward to the upcoming season? Do we believe the Eagles have accomplished enough, or is there more to be done before the new year begins?
Tomorrow signals the start of the 2025 NFL Draft. All attention will focus on the Eagles as we eagerly anticipate their strategy for this draft. Some speculate that the Eagles may try to trade up, using their picks and possibly Dallas Goedert, while others believe they will stay at the 32nd pick or even trade down. In other news, the Phillies were defeated by the Mets last night, with a final score of 5-1. Sanchez exited the game after throwing 58 pitches over 2 innings. The Phillies' offense requires major improvements.
Only two days remain until the NFL Draft! There's uncertainty about the Eagles' strategy at the 32nd pick. Will they trade their picks for a player, or consider moving up in the draft? Alternatively, could they choose to move back and gain additional picks from a team eager to draft in the first round? In baseball, the Phillies fell to the Mets last night, finishing 4-5. Aaron Nola remains without a victory at the start of the season.
Today marks the official beginning of DRAFT WEEK! The NFL Draft is just a few days away, and there's much to cover. What strategy do the Eagles have for the first round, particularly regarding tight end concerns? Are there plans for a trade involving Dallas Goedert? Will the Eagles decide to move up or back in the draft? Meanwhile, the Phillies lost a lead to the Marlins yesterday on Easter, ending the game 7-5. Could Jordan Romano be an issue?
Joe takes on a caller named Tom in the weekly trivia contest, this week about bad seasons across the 4 teams.

The word of the day is Redemption (0:00-12:22) The Eagles win in Super Bowl 59 is the greatest win in Philadelphia Sports history. The Eagles dominated Kansas City for the entire game. Tyrone shows appreciation for the analysts that supported the Eagles. (12:22-19:39) Tyrones silence streak against some of his comrades has ended prematurely. We react to the quote from Defensive coordinator Vic Fangio about how just because it took long for him to reach the goal, doesn’t mean it won’t happen in life. (19:39-32:39) Cooper DeJean showed out in the Super Bowl which was also his birthday. Tyrone, Ricky and Sylvana agree that Cooper is going to be a popular name within the tri-state area. Tek & Prem discuss the Eagles Super Bowl expectations and the product they have put on the field through 12 games in 2024. Nick Sirianni is a winner. Vic Fangio has gotten the most out of a young and hungry defensive unit. Jalen Hurts continues to be disrespected by the fanbase and nationally. A young Carolina Panthers team comes to town this Sunday for a 1 PM kickoff at the Linc, and while they have improved, recently, a Super Bowl contender at home should easily roll through them. The Lions are the NFC pace-setters but there is still a month of football to play and some challenging games on their schedule as the Eagles have a semi-cakewalk. Saquon Barkley is on a record rushing pace and the Eagles Defensive Line has been as dominant as we have seen in years. The Flyers are young, talented, and getting better at a rapid pace. The young sensation Michkov has been as advertised, and they play with a gritty energy as a unit. The Sixers are still a dumpster fire with stars who seemingly do not want to take the floor and compete. Another October, another sad ending for Philadelphia Sports fans. BUT. We were given a sweet consolation on 10/18 when Netflix released a short documentary - "The Turnaround." This 25 minute film, produced by Barack and Michelle Obama, digs deeper into the story of the man who inspired the country's most notoriously brutal sports fans to pick someone up when they were down. Rachael & Elizabeth shared this story last October and think that you should both give this episode a re-listen, and check out The Turnaround on Netflix so that you can revel in and respond to the power of kindness and compassion.
