Prince Andrew's future within the British Royal Family appears increasingly constrained due to his tarnished reputation and strained familial relationships. His association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and the subsequent settlement of a civil lawsuit with Virginia Giuffre have led to his withdrawal from public duties and the stripping of his military titles and royal patronages. Despite these measures, Andrew has resisted efforts to relocate from the 30-room Royal Lodge, a property requiring extensive and costly maintenance. King Charles III has reportedly cut Andrew's annual allowance and security funding, leading the Duke to secure a mysterious £3 million lifeline to maintain his residence, raising concerns about the source of these funds and the propriety of his associations.Public opinion remains largely unfavorable toward Prince Andrew, with many viewing his attempts to retain royal privileges as emblematic of entitlement and a lack of accountability. His refusal to vacate the Royal Lodge, despite financial pressures and the property's deteriorating condition, has been criticized as a display of arrogance and detachment from public sentiment. Experts suggest that Andrew's chances of returning to public life are negligible, advising that he should focus on leading a quiet, private existence to avoid further damaging the monarchy's reputation. The ongoing tensions within the royal family, particularly between Andrew and King Charles, underscore the complexities of managing personal relationships alongside public responsibilities and the imperative to uphold the integrity of the institution.(commercial at 7:45)to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:What does the future hold for Prince Andrew - with disgraced royal entrenched at Royal Lodge | Daily Mail OnlineBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-moscow-murders-and-more--5852883/support.

The elections happening for the Welsh Senedd in 2026 are held at the same time as the English local elections and the vote for the Scottish Parliament – but there's an argument to be made that they're by far the most important ones happening on May 7th.Since it was first elected in 1999, Labour have been the story of Wales. They have held a plurality of seats and have formed all Welsh Governments, be that majority, minority or coalition. They've never received less than 29.6% of the vote in either the constituency or regional list ballots.Yet, four months out, opinion polls have them as low as 10%.In their place stand two diametrically opposed forces: on one side, as in all British politics, stand the right-wing Reform, polling near 30%.And on the other stands the Party of Wales, Plaid Cymru. They currently lead polls with highs of 33% and took one of their biggest scalps back in October, beating the surging Reform in the Caerphilly by-election for a Westminster MP.The addition of a completely new voting system for the Senedd adds a wrinkle to proceedings also, as it moves to a closed-list proportional system in 16 constituencies across the country. With the country on a precipice, we were joined by the Leader of Plaid Cymru, Rhun ap Iorwerth, to discuss what the future of Wales looks like and what Plaid Cymru's plan is should they be successful in May.Rhun has been the Leader of Plaid since 2023, before which he was Deputy Leader for five years, and has served as Member of the Senedd for Ynys Môn since 2013. Before this, he worked as a journalist, becoming BBC Wales's Chief Political Correspondent in 2001, a post he held for five years, before moving into presenting roles.Support the showEnjoyed the podcast and want to be a live audience member at our next episode? The Bangkok Podcast | Conversations on Life in Thailand's Buzzing Capital
Greg and Ed discuss an article on Ajarn.com by Dr. Jesse Sessions called "What Does the Future Hold" which discusses some of the bigger problems currently facing Thailand and how they might impact the country's prosperity, competitiveness and social longevity. The guys walk through the issues one by one and give their take on its significance, The first issue is border security. Ed points out that Thailand actually has major security issues on the Burmese, Malaysian, and Cambodian borders, something that is easy to forget from the security of Bangkok. In fact several of the later issues tie in to this problem, including the major problems of government corruption and of scam centers in Cambodia and Burma, that implicate Thailand in international crime networks. Greg points out that these 'scam cities' are sometimes connected to the Thai power grid or Internet service and may also be trafficking victims through Bangkok. As a 'rule of law' guy, Ed emphasizes the importance of cleaning up these issues and ridding Southeast Asia of its Wild West image. Another cluster of issues centers around the economy, such as the slower the expected recovery of the tourism sector after COVID and Thailand's perennial fixture in the 'middle income trap,' clearly surpassing Cambodia but somehow also managing to be miles away from South Korea and Japan. Check in for discussion of a bunch of other topics, including demographics, AI adoption, and environmental problems, and make sure to read the full article for a more thorough breakdown of each issue.

Paralegals can find themselves on an island at the workplace, left without training, mentorship, and opportunities for growth and advancement in a sink or swim environment. It doesn't have to be that way. Guest Eda Rosa is a former paralegal who founded her own firm, Eda Rosa LLC, in 2017. The legal consulting and training company is dedicated to transforming the legal industry from the inside out. Rosa says CLE classes are fine for the nuts and bolts, but what about training to avoid burnout and build “soft skills” that make life and work better? Training shouldn't stop with paralegal classes and company onboarding. Continuous education and team building exercises ensure teams remain strong and develop as a unit. Every player on a legal team has a role, failure to bring along every player hurts the entire firm. Hear how Rosa “learned by doing,” growing into her own professional self, earning a master's degree in law, and then turned her insights into a mission to help paralegal professionals advance their careers and live their best lives both in and out of the office.
