On January 15, the entertainment world lost a truly unique and highly influential talent….David Lynch (Blue Velvet, The Elephant Man, Twin Peaks) who passed away at the age of 78 from emphysema. Over his illustrious career, he directed twelve feature films and was nominated for four Oscars including Best Director for this acclaimed classic released in the fall of 2001. Considered by many fans and critics to be Lynch's best film, this mind-bending mystery has since garnered a devoted following from cinephiles who have enjoyed developing and sharing theories regarding its complex plot. The overall story mainly focuses on two women, one an amnesiac nick-named Rita (Laura Harring) and the other an aspiring actress named Betty (Naomi Watts) who is new to town. The town is Hollywood, where dreams of fame and fortune sometimes come true....though more often they lead to bad things. :o And as these two ladies develop a relationship.....well as most other Lynch stories go, let's just say that they get pretty strange. Also included among the stellar cast are Justin Theroux, Jeanne Bates, Robert Forster, Brent Briscoe, Patrick Fischler, Dan Hedaya, and Billy Ray Cyrus. (Yes you read that right.) Rest in Peace Mr. Lynch….your legacy will live on WELL beyond your time on this earth. Rest In Peace Mr. Baseball. We'll talk about Ueck, NFL, College Basketball and of course the NFL play offs before we finish with our thoughts on the National Title game between THE Ohio State Buckeyes and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Give us a listen, give us a share.
The cease fire between Israel and Hamas is already beginning to fall apart. Elon Musk is being considered for a deal with TikTok. I'm not sure this is going to happen. And Mr. Baseball has passed away.
What's up Bro's? We are in the MIA (actually were in Palm Beach) with the RHOM crew and this episode centers around Lisa. The group is collectively concerned about multiple things going on in Lisa's life. And for once we see the majority of the group on the same page. Julia leads the charge, rather clumsily, to address a litany of issues. Lisa's spending habits, her new relationship with Jody and how all of this could be effecting her children. While all difficult convos to have it does seem that the crew has her best intentions at heart. Meanwhile, Adriana sees an opening to take Lisa's side in all of this in an attempt to make a friend. Nicole and her father (rest in peace Mr. Martin) have a lunch where instead of meeting his girlfriend, Nicole learns about multiple siblings that she never knew existed. The season continues to deliver and we are excited to see how it wraps up! This episode is brought to you by Bubly Sparkling Water. No sugar, no calories, ALL SMILES! I, along with millions of others, were fans of guitar virtuoso Jeff Beck and I was sadden by the announcement of his recent sudden passing. This podcast is a quick story about how I was lucky to be invited by his record label to see Jeff live back in 2010 at the Bonnaroo Music Festival. How it all came about and how I was fortunate enough to be able to write my story on Jeff's Facebook page. Here I am thinking I am going to interview Tom Morello (Or as I referred to him as Tommy and I was brought to task by is lead singer.), Audioslave was playing at WCCC's anniversary show, and in walks Chris Cornell. Every female within a ten foot radius melted. And a few of the guys did as well. Damn he was a good looking dude! Smart and funny too! I was nervous because I had to think of questions of him on the fly, but I think it worked out. I had heard he was difficult to interview, but he was not that day, and he remains one of my favorites. Talent above all. He is missed. Rest In Peace MR. Cornell.........

Episode twenty-one of Ninth Wave Radio on this rainy day in Vancouver. This episode features a great line-up of track from the likes of Moses Sumney, Noname, Cassiano, Zo!, Kali Uchis, Pleasure, Nxworries and more! This week I share a few words about the #metoo movement, it's impact and what WE AS MEN can do better in point form! The dialogue that has been bust open is perfect time for us to self reflect and learn what it means to be good to fellow humans, have empathy, and to love. To unlearn behaviour and misogyny that I myself am guilty of.I also share a few words about The Tragically Hip frontman Gord Downie who died at the age of 53 yesterday due to terminal brain cancer. Today is a sad day for not only Canadians, but music lovers everywhere as his impact on modern rock was enormous. The passion and strength of his song writing left me in tears as I chose a song to play for tonights mix. Please take a moment of silence for a fallen Canadian hero. Rest in peace Mr. Downie
