Hallo Freunde heute gibt es gleich zwei Highlights. Neues Design und eine neue Episode meiner Indie Dance The Mix Series. Diesmal mit Label Boss Jason Peters von Roam Recordings aus San Francisco, Vereinigte Staaten. Viel Spaß Kurt Kjergaard Hello friends Today there are two highlights... a new design and a new episode of my Indie Dance The Mix series. This time with label boss Jason Peters of Roam Recordings from San Francisco, USA. Enjoy, Kurt Kjergaard BIO Jason Peters is a DJ/Producer and the label boss of Roam Recordings. Over the last decade he and his label's output have been at the forefront of the indie dance/dark disco movement. While his music centers around 80s italo, 90s rave, and contemporary indie dance and dark disco, you will also hear rare disco, psychedelic techno, and early house. Jason Peters is also a long time staple of the San Francisco dance music community where he plays regularly for some of SF's more discerning clubs and promoters such as Sunset Sound System, Monarch, The Great Northern, and F8. On Jason Peters' travels outside of the Bay Area he has played events such as SundaySunday, CRSSD festival, Block 9 at Glastonbury, Red Light Radio, Kater Blau, and the Alfresco festival. Ransom Note puts it best: “Just like Jason's own productions, which also appear on the label, the music is dark and hypnotic, cosmic and driving - sounds that'll take you down a wormhole. There are a lot of labels and artists treading similar terrain these days, but Jason was spearheading this new wave of exciting and unique dance music a long time ago." On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is joined by Joe From Queens to chat on many topics, including going through many of the best and worst free agent signings the Buffalo Bills have under general manager Brandon Beane since 2018.Free agency has been a pretty mixed bag since Beane came to Buffalo over the past seven seasons. Before looking into what is going to happen over the next few weeks the guys talk about some of Beane's biggest free agent hits like Cole Beasley, Mitch Morse, John Brown and a couple of offensive lineman currently on the team. On the opposite end they discuss a handful of his lowlights, including Vernon Butler, Jamison Crowder, OJ Howard and unfortunately because of his ACL tear, Von Miller. Also, Jason Peters is retiring after 21 seasons including the first five with Buffalo. The Bills trading rather than paying the future Hall of Famer should go down as one of the dumbest moves in franchise history, Joe argues.Plus, Joe continues to think the NFL Combine is stupid. That plus John Cena finally turns heel in shocking fashion and tons more.Major props to Talking Buffalo sponsor, Sonny Red'sat 1841 Abbott Road in Lackawanna, just minutes from Highmark Stadium. We consider them THE most underrated spot for wings, pizza and other great food in Western New York plus it's a great place to drink and have a great time.♦♦♦♦♦Follow Patrick Moran/Talking Buffalo Podcast Substack: Patrick Moran's SubstackTwitter: @PatrickMoranTBBlue Sky: @PatrickMoranTB.bsky.socialInstagram: @PatrickMoranTBFacebook: Talking Buffalo Podcast

The Fly was released in 1986 and quickly became director David Cronenberg's most successful film, lending itself to a far more mainstream narrative in spite of some serious body horror elements, especially along the back half of the film. Jeff Goldblum was still on the rise and was by no means a bankable leading man, so it was something of a risk when producer Stuart Cornfeld hired him to carry the film. To boot, David Cronenberg had been tapped to direct Total Recall for Dino de Laurentiis and was unable to take The Fly when producer Mel Brook called (yes, that Mel Brooks), and it was only through a series of both interesting and unfortunate circumstances that the stars aligned and Cronenberg was later brought on to direct. Geena Davis plays the lead supporting role, and was, in fact, Jeff Goldblum's real-life girlfriend at the time, which helps to explain the immediate and intense chemistry the two share throughout the movie. While heavy on the gore in the second half of the film, The Fly is still a superbly-rich narrative filled with empathy for the main character's unfortunate degradation. The tone is simultaneously somber and thrilling, and Jeff Goldblum's intensely physical performance is one for the ages. Quite simply, The Fly is David Cronenberg's masterpiece. Find out why in this episode of Esoterica Cinema with Jason Peters and Ryan Seybold.

Gangubai Kathiawadi from director Sanjay Leela Bhansali sees Alia Bhatt play the notoriously infamous Madame to various effects. On the one hand, the film is a dark and serious look at admittedly difficult parts of her legacy, while at the same time glossing over events to make them seem less sordid and violent than they in fact were. As Jason & Ryan review the film, you'll get both sides of the equation, as Jason took issue with the manner in which Gangubai Kathiawadi was represented, while Ryan felt the film did an estimable job telling the story of this flawed yet unique character that did much to advance the normalization of sex work in India and abroad. Either way, get ready for five musical sequences in a row (j/k) as we review Gangubai Kathiawadi right here on Esoterica Cinema.#moviereview #indiancinema #aliabhatt #sanjayleelabhansali #moviereviewpodcast #filmanalysis #filmcritic #filmcritique #filmcriticismABOUT OUR CHANNEL Esoterica Cinema is the result of a great friendship between Jason Peters and Ryan Seybold. Having met in film school, both have since gone on to pursue their craft in various ways. Ryan actively works as a sound recording engineer, having been involved in numerous projects for nationally prominent companies such as ESPN and PBS, while Jason is a published author, screenwriter, and filmmaker responsible for a variety of works available online and elsewhere. The program focuses not just on surface level observations, but gets down to the heart and soul of what makes a given film tick. Direction, Acting, Cinematography, Score, Sound Design, Narrative Structure, and Character Arcs are some of the many high-level and granular analysis provided on every episode. The problem with having high expectations going into the season is that just one half of football can make a fan believe that it was all a mirage. Were we drinking the Kool-Aid in the offseason or was Sean McVay and Matt Stafford take advantage of a Week 1 opportunity against Seattle? Time will tell. In the meantime, we explore the Seahawks defensive woes and the lack of an effective pass rush. Both tackles went down to injury and were a big reason for the offensive struggles in the second half. We discuss some things the offense could have done differently against the Rams defense. Injuries will continue to have an impact on the offensive line in Week 2 as 20-year veteran Jason Peters was signed to the practice squad this week. Abe Lucas was moved to injured reserve and will have to miss the next four games at a minimum. Will Charles Cross be next to the IR or can the team somehow manage his foot injury. Looking ahead to the game against the Lions we talk about what has to turn for the Seahawks to bounce back from their disappointing Week 1 performance. In the second half of the show, we talk about one game on the schedule that is guaranteed to help the Seahawks in the NFC West standings, even if we can't decide who to cheer for. Adam offers his bold predictions for the outcome of Week 1 games. The NFL quarterbacks who got paid this offseason need to do better and so do the fans who immediately start calling for Pete Carroll's job after one game. Better at life honors go out to a helpful gameday gadget and to a former Seahawks running back. 2023 Podcast Pick'em League Support the show Get in the Flock!
