EDITED TO ADD: I mis-remembered a couple of details about the back court turnover violation I mentioned in stream. My bad, ya'll. I remembered someone else was near the mid-court line, but it was bc Azzi was chasing Skylar Diggins. Also, when I mentioned Kamilla's positioning, it was her momentum that had her with one foot left in bounds. She wasn't straddling the line or anything. She got the ball without enough time or space to reasonably stop or change direction. See comments for more on this. DESCRIPTION:The Dallas Wings just pulled off an absolute heist against the Chicago Sky. Chicago had the game in hand. Dallas was down by as much as 17. Then, they turned around to drop a season-high 36 points in the 4th quarter to win it by one.Coach said the clock was just on their side, but the analytics say something different. The Chicago Sky are 2-0 to start the 2026 WNBA season after grinding out a tough, ugly 69-63 road win over the Golden State Valkyries — and this might be the clearest sign yet that this new-look Sky team has a real identity. On this episode of Chicago Sky Central, Haize & Stevo break down how the Sky survived a brutal offensive night, shooting just 36% from the field, while holding Golden State to 29.3% shooting and 26.9% from three. The offense wasn't pretty, but the defense, toughness, and late-game execution carried Chicago to another win.The guys discuss:

Send us a textTriple-doubles in the WNBA demonstrate impressive all-around performance but may be overvalued when it comes to determining player impact on winning championships. The history and evolution of this statistical achievement reveals interesting patterns about versatility in women's basketball while raising questions about how we evaluate player contributions.• Triple-double defined as recording double digits in three statistical categories (points, rebounds, assists, steals, or blocks)• Sherryl Swoopes recorded the first WNBA triple-double in 1999 with 14 points, 15 rebounds, 10 assists• Skylar Diggins achieved the first All-Star game triple-double in just 23 minutes• Caitlin Clark became the youngest player to record a triple-double during her rookie season• Alyssa Thomas leads the WNBA in triple-doubles with 16-18 and counting• The 2024-25 season potentially features the highest number of triple-doubles in WNBA history• Position context matters when evaluating triple-doubles (guards getting rebounds vs. centers getting assists)• Despite impressive triple-double statistics, players like Alyssa Thomas haven't necessarily won championships• Statistical achievements should be celebrated but not overvalued compared to team successPlease make sure to like, subscribe, comment, and tell anyone who's anyone about the show. On this weeks episode we discussed the trades currently happening in the WNBA gearing up for the next season. Skylar Diggins will be taking her talent to Seattle and Candace Parker will remain in Vegas with Aces, are just nan few highlights. Next we discussed the upcoming NBA All Star weekend happening 2/16 - 2/18 in Indianapolis. The format has reverted back to the original format of East vs West but this year has been some of what a shake up around a few players, Steph Curry in particular. Steph is definitely an All Star but he is not starter but a reserve. Do you agree with Steph being a reserve or was he snubbed? For Saturday activities, Steph and Sabrina Ionescu who plays in the WNBA for the New York Liberty will be having 3 point shooting contest, and we think it will definitely be a good show. Lastly we discussed Super Bowl Sunday happening on 2/11. If you have not heard, the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers will battle it out to see who will be champs. If we're being quite honest, this is not the super bowl many people may have wanted because the Chiefs have been a lot in previous years. A majority of people wanted a Ravens vs. Lions Super Bowl but maybe next year. The best thing happening for Super Bowl Sunday will most definitely be Usher performing for the half time show. What song are you hoping Usher performs and who do you think will be his special guests? Let us know your predictions and thoughts.
