Unlocked: Survivor 50 Draft Get ready for the Survivor 50 pre-season draft! The Rob Has a Podcast crew is back again for another heated battle with bragging rights on the line. Rob Cesternino hosted a legendary draft episode back in July 2025 and is now here unlocking the archives to preview this milestone season. Joined by RHAP favorites Pooya, Liana Boraas, Taran Armstrong, Chappell, Shannon Gus, and Aysha Welch, the group dives into the cast dynamics, historic returns, snubs, and strategic threats—before the season even begins. As the panel drafts their teams, they debate if Survivor 50 will be the ultimate celebration or just another showdown. The big question: will iconic favorites like Cirie finally get her win, or will a new school player dominate this all-star field? The episode highlights the palpable anticipation as Survivor 50 blends old-school legends with new era standouts, sparking fierce draft debates and predictions. Cirie is unanimously seen as a “Mount Rushmore” player, with hosts imagining her journey and the challenge of both being respected and targeted by fellow returnees. Genevieve, fresh off her previous season, is drafted early as the panel weighs her “sparkly” gameplay and possible threat level among newer players. Rick Devens is chosen for his idol prowess and understated reputation, while Christian Hubicki brings genuine likability and strategic savvy—though some old schoolers may target him. The presence of multiple cast members from Season 48 and 49 fuels intrigue about pre-existing bonds, loyalty, and rapid gameplay shifts. – Cirie’s legend status and the risk of early elimination by pre-game alliances – The debate around Genevieve's threat level and her adaptability across eras – Rick Devens as an idol expert, quietly positioned for a deep run – The evolving views on Charlie, Kamilla, and Joe as recent players with recency bias – Funny moments like the “Hee Hee Ha Ha Have Fun” draft mantra and dramatic group chat drama As the panel wonders which era will be celebrated, the episode teases key questions: Will an old-school player finally reclaim the Survivor throne, or do new era bonds and vote splits reshape the game? Who will fall victim to the dreaded “grenade” and lose their entire draft team? Survivor 50 Kalo Tribe Preview Rob Cesternino (@RobCesternino) and Mike Bloom (@AMikeBloomType) are here to share their thoughts on the Survivor 50 Kalo Tribe consisting of Charlie Davis, Chrissy Hofbeck, Coach Wade, Dee Valladares, Jonathan Young, Kamilla Karthigesu, Mike White, and Tiffany Nicole Ervin. Today, Rob and Mike break down the Kalo tribe, the final group of 8 for Season 50, diving deep into the tribe's winner potential, alliances, and big reputations. A central theme emerges: Can this star-studded tribe avoid the pitfalls of “battle of the eras” and instead create new survivor legends? The discussion tackles the unique makeup of the Kalo tribe, mixing Old School icons with New Era heavyweights. Players like Charlie Davis and Dee Valladares face enormous target levels as both strategic threats and social masterminds. Rob notes that Dee's warm, expressive social game could help her skate past her “winner” stigma, while Mike sees Charlie's reputation as almost too strong for his own good. The hosts dig into how pregame connections, returning winners, and challenge threats like Jonathan Young and Coach Ben Wade might shape early alliances and boot order. Chrissy Hofbeck stands out for her focus on groupthink over having a single “number one,” while wildcards like Kamilla Karthigesu add unpredictability and humor to the mix. The specter of past seasons, player reunions, and “dream alliances” raise the stakes for early tribal decisions. – Can Charlie overcome his “smartest guy in the room” reputation, or will he be an early target? – Dee's “electric” social presence and whether it helps her dodge early attack – Coach Ben Wade's huge popularity and how “Old School” reverence impacts his position – The debate over whether the winners or sneaky social threats will catch the first vote – The battle of alliances—Friends of Ben, Old School bonds, and New Era connectors As the Kalo tribe hits the beach, the central question remains: Who will claim power, and which big fish might slip through the net? Will legendary players like Coach or Chrissy lead the charge, or will a new underdog rise? Jonathan Young & Kamilla Karthigesu Survivor 50 Preseason Interviews Mike Bloom (@AMikeBloomType) is here to chat to the cast of Survivor 50! Join us to hear from your favorite returning Survivor players! Mike Bloom sits down with returning contenders Jonathan Young and Kamilla Karthigesu for a preseason interview that gets right to the heart of strategy and self-perception. Mike leads the penultimate podcast of the season's preview, inviting listeners into the mindset of two favorites from the new era as they prepare to face a star-studded cast and outplay their reputations. This episode centers on how Jonathan and Kamilla approach Survivor 50 after leaving bold marks on their original seasons. Jonathan, famous for carrying his tribe (and a ladder!), shares new plans to blend into the background, using advice from Boston Rob and Matt Van Wagenen to adapt his challenge beast persona but not stand out too much in a crowd of big threats. Kamilla dives into the mental whirlwind of coming back so soon after the Survivor 48 finale—she embraces new confidence, targeting puzzlers and strategists, and breaks down how her edit changed her perception among the cast. Both players explore the “Friend or Foe” game, revealing who they'd work with, who scares them, and how rivalries shape their social strategy before the season even starts. – Jonathan's strategy: Hide behind bigger targets while quietly learning from Survivor legends – Kamilla's shift: Trading her underestimated status for a reputation of honesty and puzzle prowess – How jury comments and Survivor 48's edit put Kamilla in the spotlight—and why she wishes they'd hidden her game more – Preseason reads on castmates: Both share their early “Friend or Foe” calls and reveal surprising alliances and rivalries – Funny moments like Jonathan forgetting Emily's name and Kamilla's strong opinions about Kyle's return Will Jonathan's plan to fly under the radar work, or is he destined to stand out? Can Kamilla use her new confidence to outwit a cast who now sees her as a threat? Survivor 50's preseason is full of shifting alliances and strong personalities. The game never rests... Especially if you're Mary and Sai! This week, Jeff, Jay and Rachel discuss Survivor's ultimate odd couple and if they can ever just work it out. Then, the castaways take on the infamous Survivor blindfold challenge. Jeff dives into its history as well as how they keep players on their toes with each new edition. And Rachel adds her two cents as to who, if anyone, she'd trust to keep her from all of those bruises. Later, the journey's dice game was the ultimate test of Survivor luck, a critical Survivor game design element. Jay presses Rachel on if it's wise for Kamilla to share the advantage she won with the full Civa tribe. And finally, they break down that unprecedented tribal council, where a deadlock meant Cedrek was the last man standing, literally. Plus, your questions, including asking Jeff whatever happened to that cowboy hat?! A year and a half ago, neuroscientist Kamilla Souza got the call she'd been waiting for: A baby humpback whale had died just offshore. She wanted its brain. That's because scientists know little about the brains of whales and dolphins off the Central and South American coasts. Studying them, like Kamilla is doing, can teach scientists about the inner workings of these animals — about their behavior and how they're adapted to living underwater. So, she has to race against time to save the brains. The heat in this area of Brazil accelerates decomposition. Minutes matter. This episode was reported by Ari Daniel.
