We've got another new episode of Reclaiming My Time for your listening pleasure. This might be three in a row without missing a week. That's what Lou Brown would call a winning streak. We veer off some of the subjects and discuss other random things (which is kind of how we roll), but this episode of the podcast generally focuses on… - The winter of our discontent—no football or baseball - CDC is not publishing all the data - The right's battle over Ukraine - Nathan's rumble in the jungle - Jason's new guitar amp Don't forget to subscribe to Reclaiming My Time on Apple Podcasts (https://bit.ly/RMTPod), Google Podcasts (https://bit.ly/RMTGPlay), and YouTube (https://bit.ly/RMTYouTube).
Yeah, we're behind a day, but we're back with a new episode of Reclaiming My Time. (Not “Reclaiming Our Time,” as Jason said in the opening. What the hell, Pye. We didn't rename the pod, bro.) Anyway, we mostly talk sports this week, but we've got some other stuff mixed in in the topics, all of which are listed below. - Super Bowl recap - Halftime show - Enes Kanter Freedom gets cut by the Boston Celtics - Are the Freedom Truckers friends or foe? - We have no idea what's happening in Ukraine Don't forget to subscribe to Reclaiming My Time on Apple Podcasts (https://bit.ly/RMTPod), Google Podcasts (https://bit.ly/RMTGPlay), and YouTube (https://bit.ly/RMTYouTube).
We had a realization on this week's podcast. We've really need to stop taking weeks off, because it's killing our numbers. In this week's episode, we talk about the Super Bowl and lament the very likely delay of the start of Major League Baseball. Leamer asks Pye for pointers on moderating a panel, which turned into a little discussion of tech policy. We debated the controversies surrounding Joe Rogan. We also asked the question about whether or not the pandemic is over. Don't forget to subscribe to Reclaiming My Time on Apple Podcasts (https://bit.ly/RMTPod), Google Podcasts (https://bit.ly/RMTGPlay), and YouTube (https://bit.ly/RMTYouTube).
What a weekend of NFL action. That's among the topics in this week's episode of Reclaiming My Time. We talk about the Rams-Bucs game and the even more amazing Chiefs-Bills game. We dabble in the Baseball Hall of Fame inductee for 2022 and the prominent names who didn't get in. Jason had a cool interaction with the drummer of one of his favorite bands. We talk about a humorous article on music from our youth group days. Nathan is hooked on the Vanity Fair tell-all about Jerry Falwell, Jr. Leamer also wandered into NextDoor and lived to talk about it. Don't forget to subscribe to Reclaiming My Time on Apple Podcasts (https://bit.ly/RMTPod), Google Podcasts (https://bit.ly/RMTGPlay), and YouTube (https://bit.ly/RMTYouTube).
Glory, glory! The Georgia Bulldogs are national champions for the first time since Jason was a week old! And he's not going to let anyone forget it. Believe us, Nathan tried. We've got some college football talk. Leamer lost his microphone and tells us the story. We talk about Coleman Hughes' music video and this awful church band video making its way around the internets. We dunk on the part-owner of the Golden State Warriors, who recently said that “nobody cares about what's happening to the Uyghurs.” Finally, we talk a little about the debate in the Senate over the filibuster. Don't forget to subscribe to Reclaiming My Time on Apple Podcasts (https://bit.ly/RMTPod), Google Podcasts (https://bit.ly/RMTGPlay), and YouTube (https://bit.ly/RMTYouTube).
Here's the first episode of Reclaiming My Time in 2022. This week, we talk about Snomicron and Sen. Tim Kaine's really long trip to the Capitol from Richmond, which Nathan believes was a false flag. The New York Times acknowledges that the kids aren't all right thanks to the challenges of the most recent COVID-19 variant and related school shutdowns. Nathan has a wild thought about where members of Congress should be interviewed, thanks to a recent podcast he listened to with former NFL star Chris Long. Aaron Rodgers is apparently an Ayn Rand fan, in case you haven't heard. Jason is hoping for the best as his Georgia Bulldogs get ready to play for the National Championship. Don't forget to subscribe to Reclaiming My Time on Apple Podcasts (https://bit.ly/RMTPod), Google Podcasts (https://bit.ly/RMTGPlay), and YouTube (https://bit.ly/RMTYouTube).
It's the last Reclaiming My Time in 2021! In this week's episode, we briefly recap our Christmases. We pay homage to the late John Madden. We dive into a little about COVID-19 and the ever-shifting climate related to the response to the pandemic. We also touch on our favorite and least favorite things that happened in 2021 and talk about some things we're looking forward to in 2022. Happy New Year! Don't forget to subscribe to Reclaiming My Time on Apple Podcasts (https://bit.ly/RMTPod), Google Podcasts (https://bit.ly/RMTGPlay), and YouTube (https://bit.ly/RMTYouTube).
In this week's pre-Christmas episode of Reclaiming My Time, Nathan and Jason discuss Joe Manchin potentially killing the Build Back Better Act, our mutual respect for Colorado Gov. Jared Polis, and the White House's cold statement on Americans who are unvaccinated. We also dive into more about Christmas, including our plans for the holiday, our least favorite Christmas activities, and Jason's birthday, which happens to fall on Christmas. We also discuss supply chain issues that could cause some Christmas gifts to arrive late. Merry Christmas, folks! Don't forget to subscribe to Reclaiming My Time on Apple Podcasts (https://bit.ly/RMTPod), Google Podcasts (https://bit.ly/RMTGPlay), and YouTube (https://bit.ly/RMTYouTube).
Nathan is in the holiday spirit and really embracing Christmas. Jason…well, Jason isn't really in the same mood. But that's okay because we have another episode of Reclaiming My Time for your listening pleasure or something. In this episode, Leamer talks about his trip to New York City for a Christmas party while Jason went axe throwing for the first time for a Christmas party. We discuss what we're watching in Congress during the final days of 2021. We celebrate the repeal of “net neutrality” on the fourth anniversary of the Restoring Internet Freedom Order. Nathan praises Elon Musk's takedown of Senator Elizabeth Warren on Twitter. We also give our top five Christmas movies. Don't forget to subscribe to Reclaiming My Time on Apple Podcasts (https://bit.ly/RMTPod), Google Podcasts (https://bit.ly/RMTGPlay), and YouTube (https://bit.ly/RMTYouTube).
Hey, we've got a new episode of Reclaiming My Time for you. In this week's episode, Jason talks about his latest trip to the tattoo shop. We talk about their end-of-year music reviews from Spotify, and our tastes could not be more different. Nathan is a big Taylor Swift fan, apparently. With Christmas only a few weeks away, we discuss what we want for Christmas. At least that was what we were supposed to discuss. Nathan shows his contempt for Little Free Libraries. Jason talks about Atlanta's infamous “Murder Kroger.” We talk a little about the omicron variant. We end on the new Beatles documentary, during which Jason reveals his sincere respect for the band. Don't forget to subscribe to Reclaiming My Time on Apple Podcasts (https://bit.ly/RMTPod), Google Podcasts (https://bit.ly/RMTGPlay), and YouTube (https://bit.ly/RMTYouTube).
We've got a fresh episode of Reclaiming My Time for your Thanksgiving. We keep it mostly festive by talking about our Thanksgiving traditions and favorite debate topics with the family for the holidays. It's also holiday party season, and Nathan is super excited, almost giddy. We also talk about the Ahmaud Aubrey gave and our hope to see justice done and the anniversary of the JFK assassination. We also chat a little about music. We hope you enjoy the episode. We wish you all a very happy Thanksgiving. Don't forget to subscribe to Reclaiming My Time on Apple Podcasts (https://bit.ly/RMTPod), Google Podcasts (https://bit.ly/RMTGPlay), and YouTube (https://bit.ly/RMTYouTube).
We're back! You've been warned. In this episode of Reclaiming My Time, Jason talks about his Atlanta Braves winning the World Series and his visit to Athens, Georgia over the weekend to watch the Georgia Bulldogs beat the Missouri Tigers. Nathan celebrates Glenn Youngkin's win in Virginia and throws some deserved shade at the Republicans who voted for the bipartisan infrastructure framework (BIF) while Jason explains why Republicans calling for a pound of flesh from those who voted for it is a stupid, short-sighted idea. Nathan talks about his new Oculus, virtual reality, and ping pong. Jason tells us how he made it through more than 24 hours without internet because a drunk driver took out a utility pole in his neighborhood. Don't forget to subscribe to Reclaiming My Time on Apple Podcasts (https://bit.ly/RMTPod), Google Podcasts (https://bit.ly/RMTGPlay), and YouTube (https://bit.ly/RMTYouTube).
We've got another episode of Reclaiming My Time for you, and Jason can't stop talking about the Atlanta Braves, who, for the first time since 1999, are in the World Series. In this episode, we talk a little about the FCC and “net neutrality” and social media and today's hearing in a Senate subcommittee. We talk about the interesting and laudable push by Enes Kantor to raise awareness to China and its human rights violations. Nathan takes issue with the NBA's 75th Anniversary Team and both Nathan and Jason offer their top-five players. We also recap how education has emerged as one of the top issues (if not the top issue) in the Virginia gubernatorial race. Finally, we dabble in some discussion about music, and Nathan encourages Jason to start a band. Don't forget to subscribe to Reclaiming My Time on Apple Podcasts (https://bit.ly/RMTPod), Google Podcasts (https://bit.ly/RMTGPlay), and YouTube (https://bit.ly/RMTYouTube).
We're back after taking a couple of weeks off. It's allergy season, and Jason got hit with a horrible sinus infection. (Yes, it was a sinus infection.) In this week's episode, we wish our friends at the Taxpayers Protection Alliance a happy birthday! We also recap Jason's trip to Furnace Fest, the Braves beating the Phillies and taking the National League East, the passage of the EQUAL Act in the House, the debt limit debate and some of the other stupid things happening in Congress. Nathan tells us why U10 Soccer is Better Than Premiere League. We also discuss the Virginia gubernatorial race and how education is factoring into the race ahead of the election. Don't forget to subscribe to Reclaiming My Time on Apple Podcasts (bit.ly/RMTPod), Google Podcasts (bit.ly/RMTGPlay), and YouTube (bit.ly/RMTYouTube).
In this week's episode, Jason makes a point to note that the Atlanta Braves have a three-game lead over Nathan's Philadelphia Phillies. The fact is that neither is confident that their team will win the MLB's worst division. We talk about a truly amazing piece of journalism (we think that's what it could be called) involving fake "Dear Prudence" letters and, for those of you who dabble in what's happening in your neighborhood, the obsession with NextDoor and some of the ridiculous posts that we see. We also discuss Jason's looming trip to Furnace Fest. Don't forget to subscribe to Reclaiming My Time on Apple Podcasts (bit.ly/RMTPod), Google Podcasts (bit.ly/RMTGPlay), and YouTube (bit.ly/RMTYouTube).
We've got a light-hearted episode this week. We talk about the opening of the NCAA Football season and Georgia and Penn State's wins over the weekend. We also discuss the new season of American Crime Story and our favorite political movies and TV shows. Don't forget to subscribe to Reclaiming My Time on Apple Podcasts (bit.ly/RMTPod), Google Podcasts (bit.ly/RMTGPlay), and YouTube (bit.ly/RMTYouTube).
Conferences are back! Well, mostly. On this week's episode of Reclaiming My Time, Nathan talks about his trip to the State Policy Network's conference. Jason explains why he plans to avoid conferences. Jason also talks about going through old CDs this past weekend. The guys dive into the concerning reports that the January 6 Select Committee is undertaking by pressuring telecom and tech companies to turn over Members' records. We discuss the concerning trend related to misinformation about vaccines. Finally, Nathan and Jason are suspending their friendship until baseball season is over because the Phillies and Braves are in a pennant race. Don't forget to subscribe to Reclaiming My Time on Apple Podcasts (bit.ly/RMTPod), Google Podcasts (bit.ly/RMTGPlay), and YouTube (bit.ly/RMTYouTube).
This week on Reclaiming My Time, Nathan and Jason dive into the latest on the foreign policy disaster in Afghanistan, Reps. Peter Meijer and Seth Moulton's trip to Afghanistan, President Biden's tanking poll numbers, COVID-19 and vaccinations, schools requiring kids to wear masks, and Herschel Walker's apparent run for U.S. Senate in Georgia. The title for this week's episode is based on the Facebook profile ribbon or whatever it's called making the rounds amongst our friends. Just as a reminder, Nathan will read all over the comments and/or reviews once we hit 1,000, so make sure you're giving us a review! Don't forget to subscribe to Reclaiming My Time on Apple Podcasts (bit.ly/RMTPod), Google Podcasts (bit.ly/RMTGPlay), and YouTube (bit.ly/RMTYouTube).
We're back after Leamer's vacation, during which he did a bike race and finished higher than most would guess. Other than recapping Leamer's vacation and Jason's guitar talk, the guys talk a lot about Afghanistan and the horrible situation that has unfolded there. Although Reclaiming My Time tends to be a more classically liberal-minded podcast, we're also realists, and the events of the past several days are concerning. We dive into all of that, as well as the things we've done over the past several days to get our minds off of the news. Also, Jason makes sure to mention the fact that his Atlanta Braves are in first place (for now) in the NL East over Leamer's Philadelphia Phillies. Whether that holds is an entirely different story. Don't forget to subscribe to Reclaiming My Time on Apple Podcasts (http://bit.ly/RMTPod), Google Podcasts (http://bit.ly/RMTGPlay), and YouTube (http://bit.ly/RMTYouTube).
This is our 20th episode! Honestly, we're impressed that we made it this far. Most of our friends probably thought we'd get bored after doing a few of these. We're still here, delivering the hottest of takes. On this episode of Reclaiming My Time, we discussed the fears surrounding the Delta variant, the dilemma that President Biden has related to the approximately 7,000 individuals released into home confinement (they should stay on home confinement when the pandemic ends), Reason beating NBC News on the story about mistreatment of immigrants at the border, baseball movies, and our travel plans. Yes, our dozens of listeners, we'll be taking next week off. Don't forget to subscribe to Reclaiming My Time on Apple Podcasts (http://bit.ly/RMTPod), Google Podcasts (http://bit.ly/RMTGPlay), and YouTube (http://bit.ly/RMTYouTube).
After a week off that was entirely Jason's fault, we're back with a new episode. This week, considering the debate on women and the military draft, we talk about our shared desire to get rid of the Selective Service System. We caught up on the situation in Cuba and the movement on legislation in Congress to eliminate the sentencing disparity between crack cocaine and powder cocaine. We also caught up on the Olympics and Simone Biles and the renaming of the Cleveland Indians to the Guardians. Don't forget to subscribe to Reclaiming My Time on Apple Podcasts (http://bit.ly/RMTPod), Google Podcasts (http://bit.ly/RMTGPlay), and YouTube (http://bit.ly/RMTYouTube).
Tonight is the Mid-Summer Classic, and we took a few minutes to air our grievances with Major League Baseball. As you might remember, the MLB decided to move the All-Star Game from Atlanta to Denver after the Georgia General Assembly passed an election law, SB 202, earlier this year. Nathan and Jason spent some time arguing about Barry Bonds, who may or may not deserve his place in baseball history, depending on who you ask. Nathan rants about the Philadelphia Phillies' failure to achieve an 85 percent COVID-19 vaccination rate. Finally, we took some time at the end of the podcast this week to talk about the inspiring quest for liberty in Cuba. Don't forget to subscribe to Reclaiming My Time on Apple Podcasts (http://bit.ly/RMTPod), Google Podcasts (http://bit.ly/RMTGPlay), and YouTube (http://bit.ly/RMTYouTube).
We've got another episode in the can for you. That's two weeks in a row. One more and we can call this a streak. We recap our Independence Day, in which Nathan took his family to Mount Vernon and Jason did absolutely nothing other than watch “John Adams” and “1776.” Jason talks about his appreciation of “Loki” on Disney+. Nathan talks about how watching “Little House on the Prairie” with his kids has introduced him to one of Rose Wilder Lane, a matriarch of modern libertarianism. We also dive into the debate on critical race theory, which has become such a big issue in conservative circles. Finally, we're both excited to see that the fencing around the Capitol is finally about to come down. Don't forget to subscribe to Reclaiming My Time on Apple Podcasts (http://bit.ly/RMTPod), Google Podcasts (http://bit.ly/RMTGPlay), and YouTube (http://bit.ly/RMTYouTube).
Yeah, we took a break. We're sure our dozens of listeners missed us. (Well, we hope we were missed.) We don't dive into any real politics in this episode, other than Leamer's HOA and pool association. Jason talks a little about the work he's been doing in his yard. We also talk about our Independence Day plans. We're hoping to be back up and running next week. Until then, have a great Independence Day weekend!
In this week's episode of Reclaiming My Time, Nathan and Jason recap their historic (not really) summit at Nathan's on Sunday during which they had some good grilled meats and amazing Georgia-brewed libations. We also discussed Lindsay Lohan's comeback, frustrations with the media's reporting on the humanitarian crisis at the border, bad tech policy wonk takes, the origins of COVID-19, and Jason's drive back to Georgia. Don't forget to subscribe to Reclaiming My Time on Apple Podcasts (http://bit.ly/RMTPod), Google Podcasts (http://bit.ly/RMTGPlay), and YouTube (http://bit.ly/RMTYouTube).
We've got a Senator on the pod! Well, sort of. One of our favorite people, Shoshana Weissmann (also know as Senator Shoshana), joins the podcast to talk about how she literally knows everyone, how she has grown her Twitter following, how she became friends with some well-known politicians and scholars, and her passion for occupation licensing reform. We also briefly dive into the CDC's recent announcement about masks. Make sure you give Shoshana a follow on Twitter: http://bit.ly/SenShoshana Don't forget to subscribe to Reclaiming My Time on Apple Podcasts (http://bit.ly/RMTPod), Google Podcasts (http://bit.ly/RMTGPlay), and YouTube (http://bit.ly/RMTYouTube).
Fair warning. We might get taken down over this one. Why? Because we go pretty hard at Fauci. We're kinda tired of the dude. We're also a little annoyed with the media not doing its job. We talk a little about what it's like to go to a live sporting event, which Jason did over the weekend when the Atlanta Braves went full capacity at Truist Park. (Yes, he's vaccinated, and he hopes you are too.) We take some shots at the candidates for Mayor of New York City, many of whom don't know how much a house costs in the city. We talk about the pipeline disruption in the southeast that's causing gas shortages and cybersecurity. Finally, we rant a little about a recent David French tweet because he clearly didn't think about what he was writing before he posted it. Don't forget to subscribe to Reclaiming My Time on Apple Podcasts (http://bit.ly/RMTPod), Google Podcasts (http://bit.ly/RMTGPlay), and YouTube (http://bit.ly/RMTYouTube).
Fear not, our dozens of listeners. We're back with another episode of Reclaiming My Time. This week on the pod, Nathan talks about his super creepy high school yearbook photo. (It's not that creepy. Well, mostly not that creepy. Honestly, the hemp necklace is a little much.) Jason once again veers the conversation off into music, as he so often does. Nathan and Jason also discuss a University of Virginia student who was effectively booted out of school for asking questions about micro-aggressions. Jason talks a little about Glenn Danzig's recent comments on how the Misfits would have a tough time breaking through in this era of cancel culture if they were just starting out. Oh, the New York Times wants to make young people serve a mandatory year of service. That's a thing the guys discuss. Finally, Jason talks about Derek Chauvin's defense team and the likelihood of an appeal.
On this week's episode of Reclaiming My Time, Nathan reads some reviews after last week's really fun episode with Matt Welch. Nathan also brought up a new show he's watching on HBO Max and asked Jason, who was born and raised in the South, why he doesn't have a Southern accent. The guys discuss the congressional reapportionment based on the new data from the Census and the implications for 2022. They also discuss James Carville's recent comments on woke culture and a distressing story about a math teacher at a private school who stood up to that culture. Finally, Jason shares some news about putting his old band's music on Spotify and other streaming services. Don't forget to subscribe to Reclaiming My Time on Apple Podcasts (http://bit.ly/RMTPod), Google Play (http://bit.ly/RMTGPlay), and YouTube (http://bit.ly/RMTYouTube). For those wondering, the songs playing at the end of the podcast are "Another Disaster," "The Firefly," and "The Rest Is Silence." All songs were written and performed by Style Over Substance.
Buckle up, folks. This is a long one. Trust us, though, this week's episode is worth it. Joining us on Reclaiming My Time this week is Matt Welch of Reason Magazine. In this episode, we talk to Matt about Reason and The Fifth Column, which is the podcast he does with Kmele Foster and Michael Moynihan. We dive into a discussion on policing and criminal justice in the aftermath of the verdicts against Derek Chauvin, the police officer who murdered George Floyd. We also discuss Reclaiming My Time being temporarily censored on YouTube (we won an appeal) and venture into baseball, Matt's belief that the American League is superior to the National League, recent rule changes, and why antitrust is being mentioned in the same sentence as Major League Baseball. Make sure you check out Matt's work at Reason (http://bit.ly/ReasonMag) and The Fifth Column (http://bit.ly/FifthColumnPod). By the way, this is our tenth episode. We hope to have many more coming at you in the weeks and months to come. And don't forget to subscribe to Reclaiming My Time on Apple Podcasts (http://bit.ly/RMTPod), Google Play (http://bit.ly/RMTGPlay), and YouTube (http://bit.ly/RMTYouTube).
After a week off, we're back with a new episode of Reclaiming My Time. In this episode, we talk about our apparent fame in Russia (it's a joke), the disaster at the FDA related to Johnson and Johnson's COVID-19 vaccine, the Biden administration's announcement that the U.S military will withdraw from Afghanistan on the 20th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks, Sen. Tom Cotton's continued claim that the U.S. has an underincarceration problem, and the death of Prince Philip coming only weeks after Meghan Markle's interview with Oprah.
On this week's episode of Reclaiming My Time, we rehash a topic from last week's episode after seeing a Relevant Magazine post entitled “Nine Songs Every 90s Youth Group Kid Still Has Memorized.” We spent way too much time on this particular topic, but as kids who group up in church, it brings back a lot of memories. We also talk about the mixed the CDC director's mixed messages “impending doom” versus “vaccinated people do not carry the virus.” Make up your mind, already! In the tech policy world, we dive a little into this new lefty tech group, the Chamber of Progress. Since we were already on the topic of tech policy, we poke a little fun at Trump's new social media ventures, including the terms of service in which it claims no responsibility for user-generated content. Looks like someone is embracing Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act. Also, make sure you listen to the end. The music playing out the podcast was written by me over the weekend. Nathan thought it would make for good outro music.
We're vaccinated! Well, we're halfway there. (Whoa, oh, livin' on a prayer!) In this week's episode of Reclaiming My Time, we talk about our experiences getting vaccinated and touch on the tragic shooting in Atlanta and purity culture. We also ramble about DC libertarians going to work for tech companies, cancel culture, and smaller religious colleges doing well in March Madness.
In the latest episode of Reclaiming My Time, we talk about the COVID-19 vaccine and some of the skepticism we've seen on social media, whether or not Andrew Yang is still Nathan's hero and Yang's popularity among young conservatives, our shared admiration of Mitt Romney, how Substack is making traditional media angry, and dabble around the edges of the immigration debate. We hope to have more outlets available soon to watch Reclaiming My Time. We just started a YouTube channel, and we're working on a Facebook page. One day -- maybe, just maybe -- Nathan will get us a logo and start a Twitter account.
It's Pi Day, which meant we had to get a special guest for this special episode of Reclaiming My Time. We were joined by former FCC Chairman Ajit Pai. The Chairman talked to us about what he has been up to since he stepped down from the role of chairman in January. We discussed the Restoring Internet Freedom Order, which was spearheaded by Chairman Pai in 2017 and 2018, and some of the other initiatives undertaken by the FCC on Chairman Pai's watch. We also discussed other random topics, including our first visits to the Oval Office, Chairman Pai's visits around the country, and why we all despise Daylight Savings Time. We'll be back at our regular time next week.
And we're back with another episode of Reclaiming My Time. In the latest episode, we talk about how some members of Georgia's congressional delegation (we're looking at you, Hank Johnson and Marjorie Taylor Greene) need some education about Guam, what could come next on criminal justice reform, the latest casualty of cancel culture, and why Nathan believes that 1990s alternative rock produced some great feminine rock stars.
In the latest episode of the podcast, we discuss the name change of the podcast from the hastily named "Leamer and Pye Happy Hour" to "Reclaiming My Time." The name is borrowed from a phrase that is regularly heard in Congress when a member wants to protect his or her time to question a witness in committee. Occasionally, it's used to prevent the witness from fully answering a question because a member is using his or her time to score political points. Plus, tens of people picked "Reclaiming My Time" in our super scientific Twitter poll. We also discussed the seemingly failed nomination of Neera Tanden to serve as Director of the Office of Management and Budget, CPAC 2021 (which neither of us attended), our favorite moments from CPACs past, how Republicans should reclaim the word "class," the potential revival of the Fairness Doctrine, and the recent Bloomberg story about “SneakerHeads” reselling shoes for major profits.
In the latest episode of The Leamer and Pye Happy Hour, we discuss the feedback we got from the first episode, a potential name change for the podcast, the New York Times' throwing shade at Clubhouse, the saga of Neera Tanden's path to confirmation in the Senate, our worst flights, and the trade of Carson Wentz. Let us know which name you prefer for the podcast cast going forward, Unfettered Conversations or Reclaiming My Time. The intro music was written and recorded by Jason Pye.
In the first episode of The Leamer and Pye Happy Hour, Nathan and Jason discuss Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, the end of the trial of former President Donald Trump, national conservatism, the Super Bowl Halftime Show, and the coming Major League Baseball season. Considering that this our first episode, we're not expecting perfection. We're also not completely sold on the tentative name of the podcast. Needless to say, we're open to suggestions. The intro music was written and recorded by Jason Pye.
